Dimensional War

Warnings: This is a sequel to the fiction crossover "Monsters with Souls" featuring Naruto and Bleach. If you haven't read the first story please do so before reading this story picks up right where I left off.  In no way shape or form do I own the series and/or its characters. This story however is an original idea that I have had for a while now and decided that it is time that I got around to writing it. Some of the characters may seem a bit OCC so please don't hate me for it as I am using are my own attacks and/or attacks from other series!

Naruto and Ichigo traveled towards the sight where the Pain puppet master was at.  A long the way Ichigo filled Naruto in on what Urahara had discovered.  It turned out that the main Pain body was a member of the Uzamaki clan.  Naruto wasn't sure whether or not to be upset about that fact.  That a member of his own family was trying to kill him and extract the nine tails from his body.  The body or what used to be the body of Tendo was also a member of the Uzamaki clan.

"Don't worry about the village or anything else.  We need to turn this Pain to our side.  He has no idea that he is being manipulated and used.  That Madara has lied to him." Ichigo stated.

*Why doesn't that surprise me?  Madara is a lying, conniving bastard who will stop at nothing to get what he wants.* Kyuubi snarled.

*Even though...... You're not totally alone Naruto.  You do have family out there.  You just weren't aware of it.* added Shiro.

"Thanks Ichigo for backing me up and for always being by my side.  I don't know what I would do without you." stated Naruto.

"No problem but it ain't over yet Naruto." replied Ichigo as the two teens stood in front of a tree that was made completely out of paper.  Naruto took a long deep breath regaining his composure as he went into sage mode.  Ichigo did the same.  Naruto ripped the paper aside to find two Akatsuki members inside waiting for them.  A female with a paper flower in her purple hair and a sickly looking man sitting in a strange looking device.  The woman moved slightly to stand before the sickly man.

"Konan please stay out of this.  At last it seems that our peace makers have arrived." stated the true Pain.

"But Nagato....." replied Konan.  Nagato said nothing as he stared down Naruto.  Ichigo stood behind Naruto as he knew that the younger teen could handle this by himself.

"Do you hate me?  Now that you are face to face with me, do you plan to exact your revenge?" Nagato asked.  Naruto said nothing as he tightened his fist which was shaking in anger.  "Even now you don't have any answers as nothing you say can change anything.  Your role is to be a sacrifice in order to give up your power in order to make a strive for peace." Stated Nagato as the devise he was sitting on opened up allowing a chakra rod to shoot out and impale into Naruto.  "From this distance, I can control your every move.  I have avoided hitting a vital spot because you are an invaluable Jinchuriki." stated Nagato.  Naruto looked up showing that his Kyuubi eyes had mixed with the sage mode.  The whisker marks broadened on his cheeks as his fangs lengthened.  This caused Nagato to shutter in fear.

"We only came to talk.  To make you understand that this cycle of vengeance has to stop.  You have been lied to and used.  Madara wishes to use you for his own personal reasons." growled Kyuubi Naruto as he yanked out the chakra rod from his stomach.

"Why should we trust you or even believe a single word that you say?" asked Konan.  Naruto caused his eyes to shift back to their normal blue color.

"You don't have to believe us but, you may believe him....." stated Ichigo as his eyes also returned back to normal.  Both Konan and Nagato looked at the two teen in confusion.  "Come on in....." Ichigo called out.  Both Konan and Nagato's eyes widened when they saw Yaiko standing before them alive and well as he was wearing almost the same garb as both Ichigo and Naruto.

"Yaiko?" asked Konan in surprise as she ran towards him hugging him tight.  The woman was literally in tears.

"It's nice to see you again Konan, you two Nagato." replied Yaiko.

"How is this even possible?  You're dead..... I killed you myself."

"You did as I asked you to Nagato but, that is in the past.  I have come back with some knowledge that you both need to hear." stated Yaiko.  His two former team mates nodded their heads listening to what he had to say.

Yaiko told both Konan and Nagato how he and Nagato were related to Naruto, the nine tails Jinchuriki.  Donzo of the leaf village had teamed up with Hanzo of the rain village in order to rid Hanzo of those who posed a threat to him as both wanted to be the hokage of their villages.  Hanzo had heard that the Uzamaki clan possessed some unique kekkigenkai.  Hanzo despised those with a kekkigenkai in their blood so, he teamed up with Donzo to kill off the Uzamaki clan.

"As a result of witnessing your family being killed, it awakened your Rinnegan and forced you to go out on your own.  It forced us all to find one another.  When Hanzo found out about our organization and its goals, he forced you to kill me in order to save Konan."

"I remember that day all too well." Nagato stated sadly.

"Yes but what you don't know is how Hanzo heard about our group or even to the full reason why the Uzamaki clan had been nearly wiped out.  It was all Madara's doing.  He wanted the nine tails Jinchuriki along with the Rinnegan.  But he didn't know who held the fox within them or who had the power to control the Gedo statue.  The nine tails power is easily contained within the Uzamaki clan but Madara wanted to use the nine tails for his goals once again." stated Yaiko.

*Please don't remind me.  I have had it with being his own personal play thing.* Kyuubi growled mentally.

"Yeah..... The fox within me doesn't have fond memories of those times.  It's possibly one of the many reasons to why he wants to kill Madara himself." Naruto stated bluntly as he touched his stomach where the seal for Kyuubi was at.  Nagato looked at both Naruto and Yaiko in shock.  He never realized that he and Yaiko could be related or even the fact that he was hunting down one of his own clan.

"I had no idea.  I am so sorry nine tails Jinchuriki.  If I had known any of this, then I wouldn't have come after you or believe a single word Madara had said.  I can't believe he played me like a fool."

"It's alright Nagato.  It is the way that Madara works.  And the name is Naruto Uzamaki." stated Naruto.  Nagato looked at the young teen in shock.

"Isn't that the character Jiraiya named and got his inspiration from me for in the book Tale of a Gutsy Ninja?" Nagato asked.

"Yeah..... Jiraiya is my godfather as he was also my father's student.  In some ways, I guess Jiraiya knew of your connection to the Uzamaki clan even though he never told you.  Jiraiya taught me my father's jutsu and sage mode to help me stop Aizen's and Madara's plans.  He allowed my parents to use his character as my name sake.  Much like how the character doesn't give up and give in, I am much the same way.  Nagato it isn't too late for you as you can change.  Help us stop Aizen and Madara.  Help us truly bring peace to this world." stated Naruto.  Naruto's words touched Nagato as tears streamed down his face.

"Nagato I know that you know what Madara is doing is wrong.  He is clearly using you and your abilities.  Fight by our side.  Fight along my side once again." stated Yaiko.

"What are you talking about?  How is it even possible that you are standing here before us?" asked Konan.

"Yaiko has become a Shinigami or what we call a soul reaper.  Both Naruto and I are substitute soul reapers since we are still living.  Call it a second chance as he is willing to fight by our side along with other soul reapers and ninja's to stop Aizen's and Madara's plans." replied Ichigo as he then explained about his realm, the soul reapers, and hollows.  "There are other who used to be our enemy who are now willing to fight by our side to stop Aizen and Madara."  Nagato looked at Konan who just silently nodded her head.  Nagato turned his head towards both Yaiko and Naruto as a soft smile caressed his face.

"We will help you out although, I am not certain how much help I will be considering the shape of my body." replied Nagato.  Both Ichigo and Naruto smiled at Nagato.

"Just leave that to us." they stated in unison.

Author Notes:  I am putting the story on hold for a little bit as I need to do some research and reading about the Shinobi war and how it plays out.  I will return once I have figured out how to play the remaining chapters as the last four chapters will be about the shinobi (madara) and summer (aizen) war.  Thanks!
