Epsilon, Sakura, Naruto, and Sasuke all sat in a line on a step and their sensei leaned against the railing across from them. "Alright." Kakashi started. "Why don't you introduce yourselves, one at a time."

"Introduce ourselves?" Sakura questioned and Epsilon resisted the urge to face palm, like on many occasions before. "Well, what are we supposed to say?"

Kakashi shrugged. "Things you like, things you hate, dreams for the future, hobbies, things like that." He said almost monotonly.

"Why don't you tell us stuff first?" Naruto spoke up. "I mean, before we talk, tell us about you so we can see how it's supposed to work."

"Me?" Kakashi pointed to himself, then dropped his hand. "I'm Kakashi Hatake. Things I like and things I hate, I don't feel like telling you that." Her team looked up in surprise. "My dreams for the future, haven't really thought about it. As for my hobbies, I have lots of hobbies." They all wore the same 'are you kidding me' face, and Epsilon couldn't really blame them.

"Well that was totally useless." Sakura whispered. "All he really told us was his name." Naruto nodded in agreement.

"Okay. Your turn." Kakashi ignored their talking and crossed his arms. "You on the right, you first."

"Believe it. I'm Naruto Uzumaki." He fiddled with his ninja headband. "I like instant ramen in a cup, and I really like the ramen that Iruka-sensei got me at the Ichiraku Noodle shop. But I hate the three minutes you have to wait after you pour in the water in the ramen cup. My hobby is eating different kinds of ramen and comparing them. And my future dream is, the be the greatest Hokage! Then the whole village will stop disrespecting me and start treating me like I'm somebody, somebody important." Kakashi sweat dropped but she couldn't hear what he was thinking. For some reason she could still only hear Sasuke's inner voice, and it was slowly getting her angry.

"Alright," Kakashi said, completely uninterested. "Next."

Sakura smiled. "I'm Sakura Haruno. What I like uh, I mean the person I like is..." she glanced at the raven haired Uchiha with a blush on her face. Epsilon pointed a single finger towards Sasuke lazily without the pinkette noticing. "Uh, my hobby is..." She brought her hand up to her chin still staring at him. "My dream for the future is," She then proceeded to squeal like the fangirl she is.

"And...? What do you hate?" Kakashi asked hesitantly.

Sakura immediately lost her blush and stopped squealing. "Naruto!" Waterfalls of anime tears poured from said boy's eyes.

Kakashi placed his chin the palm of his right hand. It was incredibly clear that he didn't care. "Now second to last one."

"My name is Sasuke Uchiha." His already quiet voice was slightly muffled by his hands. "I hate a lot of things, and I don't particularly like anything." Epsilon caught the quick glance from him that was sent her way. Sakura looked disappointed with that statement. "What I have is not a dream, because I will make it a reality. I'm going to restore my clan, and destroy a certain someone." Naruto and Sakura just stared at him, but Epsilon knew better.

"Last one." Kakashi said. They all looked to her, even Sasuke.

"My name is Zeta. I only like to..." She was going to say watch Naruto but then that would have made it sound like she was stalking him and not just watching an anime. "...read books and train. I hate just about everything else. I don't really have any hobbies, and my goal for the future is to save a certain someone." She said pointedly. Kakashi looked briefly towards her with an almost blank glance.

Almost.

"Good. You're each unique and have your own ideas." Kakashi stated. "We'll have our first mission tomorrow."

"Hyup!" Naruto stood and put a hand up in salute. "What kind of mission are we going to have?"

"A task that the five of us will do together." He said vaguely.

Naruto was now even more excited and hyper. "What what what what?"

"A survival exercise."

Naruto's face dropped into one of confusion. "Huh? A survival exercise?"

"I thought we were supposed to have a real mission," Sakura said sassily. "Not more practice. We already did that stuff at the academy. That's how we got here."

"This is not like your previous training."

"So uh, so uh," Naruto kept trying to wrap his head around the situation. "What kind of training is it then?"

Kakashi chuckled darkly and Epsilon sweat dropped. "Hey hold on." Sakura piped up. "That's a normal question. What's so funny?"

Epsilon could tell that he was smiling under the fabric because of the way it folded. "Well if I tell you the answer you're not going to like it." He placed a hand on the side of his face for rest. "Of the twenty eight graduates who came here, only nine or ten will actually be accepted as genin. The other eighteen will be weeded out and sent back to the academy. In other words this is a make it or break it pass fail test, and the change that you'll fail is at least sixty six percent."

Naruto was frozen in horror, Sasuke looked even more determined, Sakura's face was stuck in the 'are you kidding me' face, and Epsilon face palmed 2x combo. She had forgotten about that part.

"See?" Kakashi folded his arms again. "Didn't I tell you you wouldn't like it?"

"That's crazy!" Naruto yelled in frustration. "We worked hard to get here! Believe it! What was the graduation test for anyway!?"

"Oh that. That was just to select the candidates who might become genin, or not."

"Whaaaaaaaat!?"

"That's how it is. I decide whether you pass or fail." Kakashi said powerfully. "Be at the designated training spot at five am, and bring your ninja gear." Her teammates trembled with anger and determination. Kakashi, who now had his back to them, said, "That's it. You're dismissed." Then he turned his head back. "Oh. Tomorrow you better skip breakfast or else, you'll puke."

-

Epsilon yawned as she walked to the training sight. She checked her phone from her hidden pocket and saw that the time was 10:37 am. Good. Kakashi still hadn't arrived yet. She had spent most of the night training again to make sure she was prepared. Oh course she wasn't going to participate anyways because it would most definitely mess up the plot line. She just wanted to be prepared just in case.

Hey, uh, voices?

Hello there! Heh!

What do you want this time brat?

I was just thinking, you seems to know more than I know, so I wondered if you could tell me what I use for jutsus instead of chakra?

My dear you've already figured it out. You use your life energy.

I'm not quite sure what that entails.

She means you're using your life force when you cast the justus. And when it's gone, you'll die.

Of course it comes back over time, like how you can recover from a disease, you can become healthy again.

So that jutsu I copied last night...

Yes. I will take a lot of your energy if you use it. But if you manage to pull it off, it would be very helpful.

Oh oh oh! Don't forget to tell her about--

When the time is ready.

Sighing, she slipped on her headphones that were previously on her neck, over her ears. She pressed play and "Fireflies" by Owl City came on. She closed her eyes and hummed as she walked. That humming soon turned to singing.

"I'd like to make myself believe that planet Earth turns slowly~." A smile crept up on her face. "It's hard to say that I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep, 'cause everything is never as it seems~." She opened her eyes and stopped singing as soon as she heard clapping. Naruto was clapping in front of her with a wide grin spread across his face, as if he'd just had nine bowls of his favorite Ramen. Her small smile was replaced with an irritated look. "What?"

"That was amazing Zeta!" He waved his arms and danced around in a sporadic manner. "That singing was really good!" He turned to Sakura. "Wasn't it great Sakura?"

With her hands on her hips, she sighed. "Well I hate to agree with Naruto, but he's right. You're singing was actually okay."

"Hey!" Naruto yelled at her. "What's that supposed to mean?"

Epsilon looked to Sasuke who was staring at her from the corner of his eye, but he looked away as soon as he was found out. "Oh right." Sakura put a finger up in the air like she remembered something. She walked straight up to Epsilon and got right in her face. "You're late!"

Epsilon couldn't help but sour her expression further. "Well is Kakashi here yet?"

Sakura glanced around, her voice getting smaller. "No..."

"Then I'm not late now leave me alone." She jumped up into a nearby tree branch and decided to wait there. She pulled out an apple from her hidden pocket, and began eating it in boredom.

About half an hour later, Kakashi materialized in a white cloud. "Morning everyone. Ready for your first day?"

Naruto and Sakura suddenly regained their energy, jumping up and yelling, "Hey you're late!"

"Well a black cat crossed my path so I had to take the long way." Naruto growled but Kakashi seemed unaffected. "Well," he cleared his throat and Epsilon jumped down from her perch. "Let's get started." He walked over to a tree stump and placed a clock with a timer on it. "Here we go, it's set for noon." He pressed down on the button on the top, and it clicked. Then he held up three bells. 'It's only supposed to be two.' She thought bitterly towards herself. "Your assignment is very simple. You just have to take these bells from me, that's all there is to it. If you can't get them by noon, you go without lunch. You'll be tied to those posts." He pointed to four long tree trunks imbedded into the ground. "And you'll watch as I eat my lunch in front of you."

Three stomachs growled in three part harmony.

When Epsilon's stomach didn't sing along, Kakashi looked at her pointedly. "Did you eat Zeta?"

"Why would I do that? You told us not to." She really didn't wish to get in trouble. He sent her a suspicious look, but did nothing else, which relieved her beyond belief.

"Wait a minute." Sakura looked up. "There's four of us. How come there's only three bells?"

Kakashi smiled more mischievously now. "Well that way, at least one of you will end up tied to a post and ultimately be disqualified for failing to complete the mission." He jingled his bells. "That one goes back to the academy." Her teammates all looked so determined. "Then again, all four of you could flunk out too."

"Kakashi." Epsilon spoke up and all heads turned to her. "May I take a look at the bells for a moment?" He eyed her suspiciously once again, but nodded nonetheless. She walked over to him and held the bells in her hand. They felt so different than she thought they would feel. Their surfaces were silky smooth, and they were ice cold to the touch. Using this time to examine them, she secretly used her jutsu, no hand signs involved. She jingled them once before handing them back to him. He either didn't know she had done something or didn't show that he knew. Both ways worked in her favor so she didn't care.

"Moving on, you can use any weapon including shuriken. If you're not prepared to kill me, you won't be able to take the bells." He yanked them up and gripped them in his left hand.

"Those weapons are too dangerous, Sensei!" Sakura immediately rejected the idea.

Naruto laughed. "Especially since you couldn't even dodge that eraser."

Kakashi turned to him with a critical eye. "Class clowns are usually the weakest links, you can safely ignore them. Lowest scores. Losers." He silently edged Naruto on. "When I say start you can begin."

An angry Naruto pulled out a kunai and changed at Kakashi. In the blink of an eye, Kakashi had caught the blonde's hand and had his arm twisted behind him, with the kunai pointing straight as the back of his head. "Don't be in such a hurry." He chided. "I didn't say start yet." Sakura and Sasuke backed up before their teacher released him.

So this is a jounin.

Still stuck on Sasuke's inner voice. 'Sigh.' "But, "Kakashi interrupted her thoughts. "You came at me with the full intention of destroying me, so, how can I say this: I'm actually starting to like you guys." After a moment, he spoke again. "Get ready, and, start!" They all scattered.

A/N (PLEASE READ!)

Hey guys! Sorry about the much shorter chapter but I thought it would be good to end it here because the fight is about to start. It will take a long time to write so I hope you'll be patient.

Very Important Question Time!

So I've been thinking about different people who Epsilon could be shipped with. In previous chapters, I've put a few of them into motion but I am still unsure. I want to ask you guys: Out of all the males in 'Naruto', who would you like to see Epsilon be with? Comment and let me know! A reason why would also help, thanks!
