It's been one year since their first date, and today was their anniversary of their first date.

Gyro was getting ready for his date with Annie and as always he wasn't nervous this time, cause this time he was going to pop the question.

He was picking out something nice to wear and pulled out a black case, he opens it to see a diamond wedding ring.

That's right he decided it was time he finally asked her to marry him.

Gyro: (exhales) (inhales)

Meanwhile Annie on the other hand was now the way nervous about tonight cause she had something important to tell him.

Gyro decided to call, Annie was riding in her limousine, she was feeling nervous and looking unease.

(Buzz)

She then got a call from gyro, she puts her worries aside, takes a deep breath, pushes her hair back and answers it.

Annie: hey gyro

Gyro: hey Annie, I excited for tonight

Annie: yeah about that-

Gyro: can you believe it's been one year since you went out with me

Annie: yeah that great listen there's something I have to tell you-

Gyro: and listen tonight I want to ask an important question

He pulls the box and smiles at it.

Annie: I have something to tell you too

Gyro: what is it

He puts the box back, feeling worried for what he's about to hear he isn't going to like it.

Gyro: oh no are going to break up with me

Annie: what? No

Gyro: (phew)

Annie: look I would never leave you, you know that right, I'm stuck with you, like ice

Gyro: I know

Annie: anyway it's about my dad

Gyro: what about him

Annie:....I found

Gyro: (gasp) oh (nervous) that's good, hmm those he know about us

Annie: yes I told him that I have a boyfriend

Gyro: ok and is he alright with us

Annie: gyro it's going to be fine okay just don't seem too freaked out by him okay

Gyro: Annie he's your dad, I'm sure he's not that all bad

Annie: well lets just say that he's a bit different

Gyro: I'm sure it'll be fine

Annie: just try to make a good impression I want him to like you

Gyro: everything will be okay

Annie: (sigh) okay I'm sorry it's just that I haven't seen him in so many years, I just found him last week and I want both you to be apart of my life

Gyro: well as long as you told him about me, I'm sure we can try to get along

Annie: okay

Gyro: so he wants to meet me

Annie: gyro everything will be fine don't worry

Gyro: ok I'll see you (and your father) soon

Annie: okay bye baby

Gyro: bye

As they hang up, he looks back at lil bulb with a upset look.

Gyro: great now I have to convince her dad to let me marry her

In the limousine after she hangs up, Annie makes a worried look, then next to her was steelbeak next to her.

He was looking at the window then he looks back at Annie and smiles.

she turns to see dad smiling at her and smiles back then he holds her hand.

They were driving to a nice restaurant where they were going to meet gyro.

Steelbeak: so do you think your boyfriend will like me

Annie: don't worry dad everything will be fine

Steelbeak: I know I just don't want to scare your boyfriend away

Annie: dad it's okay I'm sure what you done, can't affect your record and besides your turning over a new leaf

Steelbeak: right, right, so how long have you and this guy been dating

Annie: for a year and he's a really great guy, he's supports my singing and tells me to stand up to billy (or Bradford)

Steelbeak: wow he must be good to you

Annie: he is, he saved me from my ex boyfriend

Steelbeak: ooh

Annie: and he's a scientist, his lab is underwater and he works for a rich duck

Steelbeak: oh I can't wait to meet him

Annie: well we're here

They arrived at a nice French restaurant and when they got inside, they were being expected.

Annie was wearing a black sequins dress with red gloves and high heel boots. She walked up to the hostess.

Annie: excuse we have a reservations under

Hostess: gyro yes right this way, your table is waiting

The hostess guided them to their table, Annie and steelbeak looked at each other, impressed.

And when she got to her table, she saw gyro he was wearing a blue suit with his same brown shoes.

When he saw Annie, he got up.

Annie: gyro

Gyro: Annie

She ran to him and they hugged embracingly, they then let go and her dad walked behind.

Annie: gyro I like you to meet my dad

When Steelbeak got close to them and gyro puts his hand out to him

Gyro: well it's very nice to-

Steelbeak/gyro: (gasp)

They were more then surprised to see each other. And Annie wasn't expecting this. She looks at her dad and her boyfriend as they were staring at each other mouths opened.

Annie: I know that my dad is but odd but he is still my dad

Gyro looks at her as she looks up at him, then she walks to her dad, takes his hand and he sits down.

Annie: ok look I have to do something really quick so try to get along okay

She leaves, leaving her dad with gyro, they just staring at each other, didn't know what to say.

Gyro: ok..uh look I know that this must be a shock to you, a enemy is dating your daughter but I promise I would never hurt Annie

Steelbeak: I know she's told me that you support her and well I loved Annie very much, she means the world ever since her mom died

Gyro: Oh I'm terribly sorry about your lost

Steelbeak: look Annie's the only family I have left and I don't want to lose her again

Gyro: I love Annie too, very much, I'd do anything for her

Steelbeak: what are your attentions with my daughter, what do out see in my daughter

Gyro: a smart and independent women who is just as strong as her dad and with a beautiful voice, I don't love her for her looks, I love her because she's the only girl I can be normal around

Steelbeak smiles

Steelbeak: I see what my daughter sees in you

Gyro: look I know you have a bad record

Steelbeak: that is why I turned over a new leaf, I'm Annie's new manager

Gyro: oh she fired her old one good, he was always seemed too controlling over her

Steelbeak: tell me about

Gyro: ok now I know that our last encounter was not so well

Steelbeak: and I am sorry about that, I'd left fowl and got Annie

Gyro: ok look I know we have our differences but I really love to with Annie, so-

He gets up.

Gyro: (ahem)we don't we put our differences for your daughter

He puts his hand out to Steelbeak, he looks at it then back at him and smiles. He gets up and they shake hands.

Steelbeak: for Annie

Gyro: for Annie

They Annie came back and watched the whole thing.

Annie: aw I'd only been gone for one minute and you two already gotten along so well

She places both hands on their shoulders, then she kisses her boyfriend's cheek. The two smiled.

Gyro: well we made a agreement

Annie then sits in between them.

Annie: well I'm glad

Gyro: good I'm glad too Annie because-

He gets up, nervously he tries to get the engagement ring while facing Annie.

Gyro: sir (grunts) if I-(grunts) may I'd like to ask your permission for something (grunts)

Annie and her dad turned their heads to the side as they watched him struggling to get something from his pocket.

Gyro: Annie (grunts) I know that he only just meet for a year but I'd like-whoa

He then takes the box out but drops it, it falls in front of Annie, as he tries to quick grab it, Annie picks it up and when she opens it.

Gyro: (gulp)

Annie: (gasp)

Her face light up in surprise, she cover her mouth and looks back at gyro who was smiling nervously.

Gyro: (nervous chuckles)

He then get up.

Gyro: mr. Steelbeak I would like your permission to Marry your daughter

He bends down to Annie, takes her hand and slides the ring in her finger.

Gyro: Annie will you Marry me

She smiles for a minute but frowns when she looks back at her dad.

She loves gyro and of course she would love to marry him. But she just got her dad back, she couldn't leave him during this time.

But then he got up.

Steelbeak: of course, you have my blessing to Marry my Annie

Annie: dad

She looks up at him in shock, then he grabs her shoulders and pulls her towards him.

Steelbeak: it's okay, I think it's about time I let you go...again

Annie: but dad

Steelbeak: it's okay I'll be fine, I just want you to be happy, so if you want to marry him, go ahead I still be proud

She looks back at gyro to see him smiling then looks back at her dad smiling then she smiles.

Annie: (sigh) okay dad

He then cups her face and when she looks in his eyes teared up, he then wipes her tears off.

Steelbeak: I wish I could go back and spend more time with you, I mean if there was a way for me to go back in time to stop me from making a horrible mistake I would, but just know that whatever happens now matter how far we're a part, you'll always be my little girl

She then places her hand on his, embracing his touches.

Then they let go and he pushes Annie and gyro together.

Steelbeak: you know you reminded me a much younger me when I was proposing to Annie's mom, I was a bit nervous but then I swallowed that fear and just went for it, promise you'll take care of my Annie

Gyro looks at Annie and smiles.

Gyro: don't worry sir I won't let anything bad happen to her

Now the fear of Annie's dad and her boyfriend meeting has be dealt with.

It was time Steelbeak had amends he was to make with the mcduck family.
