A/N: Be warned, this is a scary chapter, but at the same time it will be quite musical.

It's a dark and windy night. The stars shining through the dark canopy of the woods. One could hear the sound of twigs cracking underneath the weight of some animal or person. The white duck from chapter one appears, looking through the woods, the ring attached to her finger. She comes to a parting in the woods.

"Why here?" She asks.

A stone being with a yellow eye suddenly crawls out of the ground, coughing up dirt. Horns are on his head, there are holes in the flesh. Inside the holes, a blue light glows. He growls, looking around. His eyes land on the duck.

"You're the one I was supposed to find. Angor Rot." She smirks.

The assassin smirks, "Whoever sent you to find me sent you to your death. You know my name, it's a shame I will never learn yours."

Angor Rot lunges for her, but stops just before he can touch her neck. His gaze lands on the ring around her finger.

"How do you have that?" Angor Rot demands, anger seething out of his voice, upset he couldn't stay dead.

The duck smirks, "You can't harm me! I wield the Inferna Copula, your soul! You are mine, and you will help me get rid of Scrooge McDuck!"

The duck evilly laughs, lightning cracking nearby.

***

Y/N shoots up out of their bed, panicking.

"What the hell was that?" They ask.

They look outside to see the rain pouring down, making the outside seem ominous as wild animals run around in the backyard. They look at their clock, seeing that it's 4:21 a.m.

"What the heck woke me up?" Y/N asks.

The teen paces around their room, concerned. They pick up their amulet, it's cool metal soothing the human teen slightly. They walk over to their mirror to see a tall silhouette in the background, a knife in the silhouette's hand. Y/N immediately whips around to the silhouette to see a coat on a chair.

"What do you know? Those things are terrifying in the middle of the night." Y/N mutters.

Y/N summons the armour easily, jumping out the window.

"I need a run. I'll be back by sunrise, hopefully." They whisper to themselves.

***

After a lot of walking through the woods, the rain pattering against the teens' armour, images of gold and a duck fighting a strange creature flashing through their mind. They continue walking, stopping near a tree.

"Where's this coming from? Why am I seeing this?" They ask.

Suddenly, a meteor flies over them, and the teen swears they can hear a garbled scream from the meteor.

"What the heck?" Y/N asks.

There's a snap behind them, so they quickly jump up into a tree. They then look up to see a mansion.

"What is that?" A raspy voice asks.

Y/N hides in the foliage, the rain helping disguise them. They dismiss their armour soundlessly.

"That is the mansion of Scrooge McDuck, my greatest enemy." A female voice answers.

Y/N pales. They may not like Scrooge, but this doesn't sound like it's good.

"And you want me to...?" The raspy voice asks.

The female voice scoffs, "Ugh, I want you to eliminate Scrooge McDuck, then maybe his useless family, Angor Rot."

Y/N holds in a gasp as they peak through the foliage to see Angor Rot is indeed there, standing with a duck. Angor Rot is back?

"What's so special about this duck, Magica?" Angor Rot asks, venom seeping from his voice as he says the name.

Magica frowns, "He's the one that has beaten me time and again, he's the richest duck in the world. Always, ugh, saving the world. You have to get rid of him. Or don't you want your freedom?"

Y/N frowns as their gaze lands on Magica's finger.

"The Inferna Copula... but Jim destroyed it... How does she have it?" Y/N whispers.

Magica scoffs, "You find a way to dispose of Scrooge. I have something else to do."

They turn away, hearing enough. They have to warn Scrooge somehow... But as who? Trollhunter or Y/N? Then, a lightbulb goes off in their head. They quickly leave the area, making a snapping noise that only Trolls and those trained with Trolls could hear, deliberately letting Angor know they're there.

***

After making it home at 7:48 a.m., Y/N searches through their bags, making a mess.

"Where is it? Where is it?" They ask.

Both the Cabrera's peak their head in, confused at the human's nature. They notice that the teen's hood is off, showing a red shirt on their body.

"What are you looking for?" Fenton asks.

Y/N shortly replies, "Gems."

The teen pulls out a box.

"Found it!" They exclaim.

The two ducks look at Y/N in confusion.

"What's going on, child?" María asks.

Y/N explains, "Someone from my world is here, a Troll called Angor Rot, but he's dangerous and under the control of Magica. I need to stop him from killing Scrooge, and to do that, I need a plan involving one of these stones."

María and Fenton exchange confused glances.

"What are you talking about, Y/N?" Fenton asks.

Y/N opens the box, revealing some brightly coloured stones.

"These stones give the Trollhunter new abilities. I rarely use them, but I have tested them out. This one, the Aspectus stone, gave Maddrux the Many the ability to create clones of themself. Although the legend was misinterpreted as giving them the ability to have the strength of a thousand trolls. This stone gave Araknak the Agile the ability to traverse the most difficult of terrains." Y/N explains, pointing to different stones.

(If you're wondering why I called Maddrux a "Them" was because, in canon, Maddrux was male, but in the books, Maddrux was female, so gender-neutral or gender-fluid it is!)

Fenton and María give a look of disbelief.

"Here, I'll show you." The teen puts a stone into their amulet, summoning the armour. "For the doom of wicked, Eclipse is mine to command."

The armour changes slightly, showing red and black armour similar to the blue and silver one. They step onto a wall, concentrating and take another step, lifting themselves off the ground. They take a few more steps, getting to the ceiling easily. They then backflip, landing on the ground with seemingly effortless ease.

"That took me ages to perfect." Y/N admits.

They snap their fingers with a grin, the helmet forming over their head just before they jump out the window, running through the woods.

***

Y/N sits on the roof of McDuck Manor, deep in thought. How are they going to warn Scrooge of Angor Rot? Just walk in, say "Hey, you're being hunted by a maniac Troll. Good luck!" and walk out? Leave him a note? Scream at him that he's in danger? All three options are creepy, yet will leave the human chuckling. Y/N smirks and snaps their fingers, deciding on their idea. They pull out a pen and pad, quickly writing on it. After they finish writing the note, they sign it and pull a knife out of the tiny bag at their side.

(Couldn't find a better picture.) The blade glows a lime green as the teenager stabs a stick they picked up, the stick turning to stone.

"Creepers sun. Should help very well."

The teenager climbs down the wall like Spider-man, searching for Scrooge's study. They smirk seeing the window open. Y/N jumps in and looks around for something sure to catch Scrooge's attention if it were to turn to stone but won't cost too much. Their eyes land on the chair.

"That'll do."

They wrap the note around the knife handle and stab it into the chair, causing the chair to turn to stone. They quickly panic and take the note off, writing something on the back of the note. They put the note back on the knife and run out of the room the same way they got in, climbing back to the roof. Gonna stay here this evening.

***

Scrooge walks into his study with letters in his hands. Bill, bill, a gold-digging woman trying to hit on him via mail, bill, bill, the board, bill, why does he keep getting bills? He looks up and jumps about six feet in the air(which is saying something, considering he's only three feet tall. (no, seriously, I googled it. He is.)). His chair's turned to stone and there's a knife with a green blade embedded in it. He pulls out the blade to see a note attached to the handle.

𝐻𝒾, 𝑀𝒸𝒟𝓊𝒸𝓀. 𝐿𝑜𝑜𝓀, 𝓎𝑜𝓊'𝓇𝑒 𝒾𝓃 𝒹𝒶𝓃𝑔𝑒𝓇. 𝒯𝒽𝑒𝓇𝑒'𝓈 𝒶 𝒸𝓇𝑒𝒶𝓉𝓊𝓇𝑒 𝓉𝒽𝒶𝓉 𝒽𝒶𝓈 𝒽𝓊𝓃𝓉𝑒𝒹 𝓂𝓎 𝓅𝓇𝑒𝒹𝑒𝒸𝑒𝓈𝓈𝑜𝓇𝓈, 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝓃𝑜𝓌 𝒽𝒾𝓈 𝓉𝒶𝓇𝑔𝑒𝓉 𝒾𝓈 𝒴𝒪𝒰. 𝒴𝑒𝒶𝒽, 𝓃𝑜𝓉 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒷𝑒𝓈𝓉 𝒸𝒾𝓇𝒸𝓊𝓂𝓈𝓉𝒶𝓃𝒸𝑒𝓈. 𝒟𝑜𝓃'𝓉 𝒶𝓈𝓀 𝓂𝑒 𝒽𝑜𝓌 𝐼 𝑔𝑜𝓉 𝓉𝒽𝒾𝓈 𝒾𝓃𝒻𝑜𝓇𝓂𝒶𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃. Scrooge turns over the piece of paper to see another message.

𝒫.𝒮. 𝒟𝑜𝓃'𝓉 𝒸𝓊𝓉 𝑜𝓇 𝓅𝓇𝒾𝒸𝓀 𝓎𝑜𝓊𝓇𝓈𝑒𝓁𝒻 𝓌𝒾𝓉𝒽 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓀𝓃𝒾𝒻𝑒. 𝐼𝓉 𝓉𝓊𝓇𝓃𝓈 𝓉𝒽𝒾𝓃𝑔𝓈 𝓉𝑜 𝓈𝓉𝑜𝓃𝑒. 𝐿𝒾𝓋𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝑜𝓇 𝓃𝑜𝓉. 𝐵𝑒 𝒸𝒶𝓇𝑒𝒻𝓊𝓁.

Scrooge growls, gripping the blade's handle in anger. First, this magical miscreant appears, seemingly putting his family in danger, now it's "warning" him of another magical creature that wants him dead. At least the mansion is booby-trapped. He'll tell Beakley. The kids shouldn't worry about this just yet.

***

Y/N smiles, their E/C eyes watching as the birds inside the house continue to play around, obviously having a slumber party. Their eyes land on a dark coloured bird and a teen duck with a pink strip in her hair. The dark bird looks kind of like a hummingbird. The human chuckles as they see the teen pull out a cake with a candle and a crudely drawn image of the teen duck hugging everyone else in that room. An attempt was made.

"Great. Now I want some." Y/N mutters, upset they can't have any cake.

The teenage duck yawns, which in turn makes Y/N yawn. The teen duck then pulls out a whole bunch of friendship bracelets. Y/N pouts, slightly jealous as they move closer to the window. Even the guys got a friendship bracelet. Shortly after the ducks and hummingbird put on the bracelets, the cake's candle makes a giant purple flame.

Y/N widens their eyes, "Magic? In a cake?"

Y/N opens the window slightly, listening in to the conversation.

"Listen, I'm new to this whole good guy thing, and I just want to get it right." The teen duck sighs.

Webby smiles, "Lena, you're the living shadow of Magica De Spell, Scrooge's greatest enemy, and you still turned out good. That makes you extra super good, right?"

Y/N nods to themselves. Anyone can get a redemption if they try hard enough. Well, now they know the duck's name.

"Math checks out." Dewey smiles.

Y/N holds in a grumble because their mother always taught them that it was maths. (True story, now I get triggered by hearing the word Math instead of Maths.)

"You don't have to prove anything to us. This is gonna be the best party ever!" Webby smiles.

Y/N moves away from the window. It's not their party.

"Let's eat pure sugar!" Huey's voice screams, slightly worrying Y/N.

***

After hours, Y/N is just about ready to pass out. It's 4:00 a.m., which makes the human even more tired. They've been keeping an eye on the kids since before midnight, and they look like they're all willing to pass out, except Lena, who's trying not to sleep at all. They notice Lena leaving, obviously to wake herself up more.

"I should check on her." Y/N whispers to themself.

They run across the rooftop towards the bathroom Lena went to, climbing down like Spiderman, listening in.

"It's fine. Everything's fine. Like Webby said, I don't have to prove anything. I'm a good guy now. Bad dreams can't hurt you." Y/N hears Lena whispering.

Y/N feels bad. Has this kid been followed by pixies or something? Suddenly, there's a knocking on the door, scaring the human as they lose concentration and start to slip.

"Lena, do you need um, you-know-what paper? Lena?" Webby's voice asks.

Y/N grabs the windowsill, concentrating on putting their feet back on the wall.

"No, I'm fine. Just being normal." Lena's voice calls, a snipping sound coming from inside the bathroom. "So, what did everyone decide on for our next party game?"

Y/N takes a deep breath, then climbs back to the room where the other birds are fast asleep. They look through the window as they watch Webby take Lena over to the sleeping bags and they get in them.

"Sometimes slumber parties are about getting an extra good sleep because you're surrounded by friends." Webby smiles.

Y/N smiles at Webby. She's too pure for the world. Lena sighs as she turns back to Webby.

"It's okay. I know your secret." Webby smiles.

Lena asks, worried, "You do?"

"I used to be scared of the dark too, but I've got glowy stars on the ceiling." Webby smiles, turning to the roof and clapping her hands, turning off the lights.

Lena turns to look at the ceiling as well. Y/N looks to see there are stars up there. Y/N shakes their head and climbs around the roof for a good hiding place. They eventually find a good spot and pass out from exhaustion.

***

Y/N groans, lifting themselves off the ground to see they're on a deserted island.

"Well, this is weird. Pretty sure I was on a roof five minutes ago." They frown.

They look down at their clothes to see their armour is off and they're wearing a shirt that says, "I know I'm awesome, let's not make a big deal out of it." Y/N looks around to see the birds from the slumber party. They quickly hide in the foliage nearby.

"I'm sorry, where are we?" The hummingbird asks.

Webby gasps, " Facing certain death with my friends on a desert island? I've dreamed of this moment. First, find food. Then we figure out who kidnapped us, and contact the outside world." She then knocks down a coconut, cracking it, only for a hamburger to fall out. "Huh, that's weird."

Louie frowns, pulling out his phone, "Okay, I'm calling Uncle Scrooge. Uh, it's a, ugh. Why can't I remember?"

Dewey asks, "Why are you dialling a banana?"

Y/N stares in shock. They could've sworn that was a phone two seconds ago. Suddenly, a unicorn floats down from above, somehow, which confuses Y/N. Unicorns can't fly, that's what Pegasi do.

"You are the chosen one, Webbigail. Are you ready to enter my extremely extreme obstacle course?" The Unicorn asks, a spotlight suddenly shining on Webby as a top hat, glasses, and a cane fall onto her as a costume.

"No! How do we get off this island?" Louie demands.

The unicorn answers, "Oh that's easy. Go past the Acid Rainbow Waterfall, take a left at the Glitter Quicksand pit, and then stroll through Poison Flower Field."

Y/N sighs in confusion. What is with this island and the weird girly yet somehow dangerous things?

"This is like all my wildest dreams smushed together!" Webby exclaims.

Lena panics, "Dreams? No, no no, maybe Scrooge is testing us. Maybe the plane is crashed nearby."

The hummingbird suggests, "Or we're in a lucid shared dream state manifested by your magic." Everyone gives her confused looks, making her scoff, "Oh, like her thing made any more sense? Observe."

She opens her palm and a violet appears in it, and it starts walking away. Y/N nods, now understanding.

"Extreme sleep deprivation could upset your magical aura. Have you been having bad dreams?" She asks Lena.

Lena sighs, "Uh, yeah. All week. I thought a slumber party would help me stay up, not pull you into my freaky shadow problems again."

Y/N smiles sadly at Lena from inside the foliage.

"Lena, we all know you're magic and that's great. We want to be in on your freaky problems. No more secrets, okay?" Webby smiles.

Y/N narrows their eyes at Lena as she hides a tuft of black hair. The human snaps their fingers, getting an idea to let the kids know they're there.

"No more secrets. I'll get us out of here. Wake up." Lena slaps herself.

Huey stops her, "It's bad enough waking a sleepwalker. Who knows what waking a dream walker could do?"

"I concur. It's best if we stay in the dream until Lena wakes naturally."

"A party in a dream? Best friend-aversery ever!" Webby exclaims.

Y/N summons a piano, then summons another version of themself, this time in their blue armour. Screw the hood. They can trust these guys. They're kids. The armoured version of themself starts playing the piano, gaining the attention of the party. The unarmoured version starts singing, knowing this song will get their attention.

"Darling, I've been having dark dreams
They come home to haunt me
I can't seem to let them go
Darling, I've been having sad dreams
I don't know where I've been
But I know what I've come to

How about we play a game
I know you'll like it, oh
You stay as far as you can
Before they get to you
I may seem crazy but
It's only 'cause I am
Before they capture your mind

Run, run, run

Run...Run
I'm tired but I can't sleep
'Cause they're waiting for me
These bad dreams are more than true
And they'll get you
And they'll get you

Darling, I've been having weird dreams
I don't know what they mean
But I know I don't want to
Darling, this is getting scary
Why can't I stop shaking

I hope you don't see them

Glances, all I see are glances left and right
They like it when they know I'm anxious
Shadows, all I see are shadows
Hiding where the wind blows

And where my mind got torn

How about we play a game
I know you'll like it, oh
You stay as far as you can
Before they get to you
I may seem crazy but
It's only 'cause I am
Before they live in your mind

Run, run, run!

Run!
They will follow me 'til I can't breathe
And I'm begging for mercy on my, no

Run...Run
I'm tired but I can't sleep
'Cause they're waiting for me
These bad dreams are more than true
And they'll get you
And they'll get you

And they'll get you
Oh, oh, oh.
"

The human signals to their counterpart to stop then turns to the group, a smile on their face.

"Webby, Huey, Dewey!" They smile.

The three mentioned tackle the human in a hug.

"Y/N! What are you doing here? You weren't at the slumber party." Webby exclaims.

Dewey smiles, "You look so weird! Is this why you were wearing a hood and sunglasses?"

Then, the three turn to each other and ask, "Wait, how do you know them?"

The counterpart turns and clears their throat. Everyone turns to them in shock.

They give the peace sign, "Sup."

The triplets and Webby exclaim, "Trollhunter?!"

The Trollhunter puts their hand on Y/N's shoulder and nods, "Yup. Y/N and I are here for some reason."

Y/N tries to explain, "Dewey, I met your brother and Webby when they were hanging out with Fenton. Webby, Huey, I met Dewey because of Launchpad being so interested in Darkwing Duck." They then pout, "Wait, do you all have friendship bracelets? I feel left out."

Louie raises his hand, and so do the other two girls. Y/N takes notice of them.

"Hello Lazy, Spock, and Sweater, I'm Y/N, this is the Trollhunter." Y/N smiles.

A few chuckles come from Huey and Dewey.

"I'm Lena, that's Louie, and this is Violet." Lena introduces.

Violet asks, "Spock?"

Y/N explains, "Spock is a Vulcan from the television series Star Trek, relies on nothing but Logic, and suppresses emotions because if a Vulcan uses emotions, he can be incredibly dangerous."

Webby exclaims, "You still haven't answered my question, Y/N! How did you both get here, you weren't at the slumber party."

Y/N shrugs, "I'm not entirely sure. Trollhunter, any ideas?"

"I assume it has something to do with magic and our dimensional differential." Trollhunter shrugs.

A few confused glances appear.

Y/N sighs, "Okay, I'm not entirely science-y, but the best explanation I can come up with is that... well..."

Trollhunter interrupts, "Oh for crying out loud! We're from another dimension. The Trollhunter is a title that has been handed from Troll to Troll for generations. I am the second Human Trollhunter. Y/N is my travelling companion and I have made a solemn oath to protect them with my life. What we believe happened is that because the amulet that gives me my armour is magical, it connected with your magic and just shoved us in here with you lot."

Y/N shrugs, "What they said. Please don't tell anyone. We're trying to blend in at the moment. Now, dream world, guys. Let's do something weird."

Webby exclaims, "Let's fly because we can!"

She grows pink butterfly wings and flies up, and the other ducks and Violet follow suit, except Lena. Lena tries to imagine wings, but bat wings form instead of butterfly wings. Lena starts to freak out.

"Oh, calm down. Bat wings look awesome. Honestly, butterflies are overrated." Y/N supplies.

"Lena! You coming?" Webby calls.

Lena replies, hiding her wings, "I'm just going to follow you on foot!"

Y/N and the Trollhunter exchange sad glances. They sprout the same wings which look like that of an eagle.

(Just for an example. The Trollhunter's is just covered in armour)

"Trollhunter will stay with you, I'll go with the kids. If you imagine something bad will happen, it will happen. Just think happy thoughts, Firewood." Y/N smiles.

Lena asks, "Firewood?"

The Trollhunter explains as Y/N leaves, "Lena is Spanish for Firewood. When you have Senior Uhl as a Spanish teacher and now live with two people that speak Spanish, you learn a few things. It's just a nickname."

Lena continues walking, Trollhunter following behind her, the eagle wings brushing against the dangerous canopy.

"This is good. Everyone is having fun. I probably grew horrible bat monster wings because of very non-evil reasons." Lena whispers to herself.

Trollhunter chuckles, "Bat wings are cool. I knew a guy who had, as you say, "Bat monster wings". Sure, he was creepy in that form, but he was a cool guy once you got to know him."

The two walk through a dark, terrifying forest.

"Stop worrying so much, Lena. Your fear is making the forest scarier." Trollhunter frowns.

Lena asks, "What do you know about fear?"

"More than most. Fear can be an enemy, but it can also be an ally. Right now, your uncontrolled fear is making your dream into a nightmare. You think something bad's gonna happen here, it happens." Trollhunter frowns.

Suddenly, a tree goes to grab Lena. The Trollhunter swipes at the tree with their sword, cutting it down. They grab Lena's hand and run. The ground opens up and they both fall through. Trollhunter looks at Lena, who looks like she's in the middle of a panic attack. They look around quickly, seeing how blurry their surroundings have become. They grab her shoulders.

Trollhunter asks, "Lena, listen to me. Can you hear me?"

Lena barely nods, but they see it. Trollhunter hesitates, trying to remember what to do with someone having a panic attack.

"Okay, what do you need, Lena?" They ask.

Lena whispers, "Webby... Webby..."

"You need Webby?"

Lena nods.

"I need you to count with me, Lena."

The two teens count together slow and steady. Pretty soon, Lena goes back to her normal self.

"Thanks, Trollhunter." Lena smiles.

They smile, "You're welcome. It's not my first time calming people down. I couldn't possibly begin to understand what you've been through. How about, when we wake up, I can give you a hearing ear? I can't promise to understand, but I can promise to listen."

Lena smiles gratefully.

"Thanks."

The friends fly down, laughing. All the wings disappear. Y/N turns to the dream clone, and they touch hands, copying memories from the other. Y/N turns to Lena in shock.

"Ew, Webby, why does your dream have a school?" Louie asks.

The group turns towards the school in surprise.

Dewey gasps, "That's not Webby's dream."

***

The group walks into school. Y/N and the Trollhunter immediately land their gaze on Dewey.

"Wow, nice hair." Webby compliments.

"Thanks, it's alive." Dewey smiles as the hair makes a thumbs up.

Y/N and Trollhunter chorus, "That's disturbing."

Dewey smiles, "This is Dewey high! I'm the most wholesome boy in school,
I'm a talented duck everyone thinks is cool,
If TV and movies taught me anything,
When you turn into a teen you just have to sing."

Y/N and Trollhunter chuckle as Dewey throws a basketball at Lena. Lena's hands suddenly turn green with claws, which pop the basketball. She hides her hands behind her back, embarrassed.

"Oops..." Lena apologises.

Dewey smiles as they walk through the school, "That's okay. Dewey High's got basketballs on tap. This is my favourite dream. Woah, Dewey, you're the best, man. Okay, I know it."

Y/N's nose scrunches up in disgust. It scrunches up more as they see a blob just floating.

"What. The heck. Is that?" Y/N asks.

Trollhunter shrugs, "Looks like a Gruesome to me."

Dewey explains, "I think it's supposed to be my romantic interest, but I'm too threatened by that concept, so it never takes shape."

Y/N nods, "That explains a lot."

"Dewey, Let's sing a Dew-et!" The blob smiles.

Trollhunter punches the blob, shocking everyone.

"What? If it's supposed to be your romantic interest, it's your clingy ex, and sometimes a punch in the face is the only way for that to work." Trollhunter defends themself.

They continue to walk through the school, seeing made-up people and other things.

"Here are my singing rivals. They are so self-absorbed. Here's a giant poster of me. This is in all my dreams. I'm like cradled by a moon made of my own tears. Who knows what that's about?" Dewey asks.

Huey frowns, "I have some theories."

Y/N turns to the others, shrugging.

Dewey continues, pointing to a giant horribly sown version of Dewey, "And this is my mascot. Dewey Dude. Go, go, go, go, go us us, us, oh, we're dewing it. Haha haha. That guy's the best. And over here is one of a gajillion trophy cases."

Trollhunter puts their hand on Y/N's shoulder, gesturing to Lena. Y/N nods, lagging next to Lena.

"Hey, you okay, Firewood?" Y/N whispers.

Lena lies, "Yeah, I'm fine."

"Lena...." Something whispers.

Y/N gets in a defensive pose, preparing to defend Lena. The Dewey Dude becomes creepy, holding its hand out to Lena for her to take. Y/N kicks the Dewey Dude away, grabbing Lena's hand, which have turned back to normal, and running.

"Lena, what pixies have you been in contact with for them to turn on you like this?" Y/N asks.

Lena whispers, "I don't know!"

The Dewey Dude appears in front of them, Y/N keeping Lena behind them. The lights turn off and the Dewey Dude glitches left and right in what appears to be that staircase painting.

"What the bottle-cap?" Y/N whispers.

It walks closer to the two, Y/N keeping their body in front of Lena protectively. Dewey Dude opens his mouth, pulling it open even more, reminding Y/N of a Tasmanian Devil's jaw.

"THAT IS SO MANY LEVELS OF WRONG!" Y/N exclaims.

The costume falls to the floor, a duck with green feathers standing in its spot. Y/N recognises her as the duck that controls Angor Rot, Magica DeSpell.

"Miss me?" She asks, holding her hand out to Lena.

Lena gasps in fear.

***

The two back away from Magica, fear just radiating from Lena's body. Y/N puts their hand on Lena's arm.

"Lena, do you think you can control your fear?" Y/N asks as they continue to back away.

Lena shakes her head when her eyes land on a lever. She quickly pulls it, turning sprinklers on. Y/N turns to Lena in confusion as they feel the stickiness of soft drink on their skin. They quickly turn back to Magica to see her dissolving like the Wicked Witch of the West.

"Clean up on aisle three." Y/N mutters.

The two teenagers take a taste of the soft drink coming out of the sprinklers, nodding in approval of the flavour.

"Why did you do that!?" Dewey exclaims.

"It was an accident!" Lena lies.

Y/N puts their hand on Lena's shoulder, worried about her.

"You ruined my big dance, and we'll never have the hallway dry in time for the 11:30 number!" Dewey exclaims.

Y/N frowns, "Okay, Dewey, please shut up. At the moment, no one cares about the musical number."

Webby agrees, "Come on, Dewey, none of us feel like dancing. Maybe we should move on to the next dream."

Huey frowns, "Yeah, I just failed a class on something called Dewology."

Dewey brags, "Well I'm the class valeDEWtorian. A++++++++++++!"

"I gotta get outta here." Huey whispers.

Trollhunter shrugs, just holding a cup in their hand as they drink some of the drink.

"With enough focus, we should be able to determine where we go next." Violet announces.

Webby smiles, "Y/N, why don't you pick the next dream?"

Y/N scoffs, "Give me two dreams to decide which dream I want."

Louie hums in thought, then places his hand on a locker, turning it green and opening it, walking through.

"Eh, might as well." Y/N shrugs, pulling Lena and their counterpart through after the others walk through.

***

Y/N, Lena, and the Trollhunter groan as they go through the trapdoor.

"I don't think I'm doing this right." Lena frowns, making Y/N turn to her.

"Don't be ridiculous, Lena. You're a wolf! Wolves are amazing!" Y/N smiles.

Louie, now a cat, hisses in fear at Lena and Y/N.

"What's that?!" Dewey yells, pointing at Y/N.

Trollhunter answers, "A Troll. Unless their imagination has given them a changeling form."

Y/N looks down at their body to see part of a body that looks an awful lot like Nomura's troll form.

"Woah, I need a mirror, guys! What do my eyes look like? Wait, I'm a troll? That's gonna be an issue. Trolls really like the taste of cats." Y/N smirks, their gaze on Louie who looks like he's about to faint.

Lena looks at Y/N in confusion. How are they so calm about this?

Violet frowns, "Fascinating. In dreams, this form can represent Outsider Syndrome. Perhaps a violent feral instinct?"

Y/N slaps Violet's hands away from Lena as Webby comes over.

"Or she's a pack animal and we're her pack." Webby frowns.

Trollhunter shrugs, "I prefer the thought that she's an Alpha that does all she can to protect her family, forgetting to help herself when she needs to."

Everyone stares at Trollhunter in shock.

"What? I've experienced it! Not a great thing to go through." Trollhunter frowns.

A giant duck exclaims in a distorted voice, "A wolf in our-our house- I'll get animal control!"

Y/N groans in pain from the distorted voice, covering their ears.

"Shut the nanny up!" Y/N exclaims.

Trollhunter looks out to the Nanny with Lena to see Magica is the animal control specialist.

"Next dream! This one's boring! Let's gogogogogogogo!" Trollhunter exclaims, trying not to panic anyone.

Huey exclaims, "Okay okay, we can go."

He then steps into the kitty litter tray and disappears, making many cringe in disgust.

"I'm down." Y/N shrugs, dragging Lena into the tray.

Everyone else follows suit. They all land on a bed.

"I have my normal ears back! I got human legs! I'm back to normal!" Y/N cheers.

Lena smiles, "What a nice normal looking dream. Let's stay here."

Trollhunter shrugs, while putting a tic-tac in their mouth, "Don't jinx it, Lena. Oh, wait, too late."

Y/N turns to the Trollhunter's gaze and chokes in surprise. They clear their throat, making a drink out of thin air, drinking it quickly. They then chuckle in amusement.

Dewey frowns, "Whose dream is this anyway? It's just a room. It's so bori-" His eyes then land on Huey and he screams, "Why, Huey, why? Why, Huey, why?"

Y/N frowns, "Shut it, bluebird."

Huey asks, "Whatever do you mean? Nothing strange here, just a tall distinguished mature oldest sibling." as he walks around with ten-foot stilts as legs.

"In what world does that description equal this?!" Dewey exclaims.

Huey defends, "I'm not good at imagination stuff, okay?"

Y/N turns to Trollhunter and go to the back of the room.

"We're going to protect Lena, right?" Trollhunter asks.

Y/N nods, ignoring the insanity going on in this dream behind them.

"Yep. Do you know which dream we want to do?" Y/N asks.

Trollhunter smirks, "Singing. Duh."

Y/N smirks, "Alright. What kind of song? Feminine or masculine?"

Trollhunter shrugs, "We'll decide later. Maybe we should save them from hurting themselves."

"OI! Everyone shut up. Huey, calm down. You can control your freaky arms if you're not freaking out. I believe it was our turn. Trollhunter?" Y/N smirks.

The two grab each other's hands and pull out Horngazels. They draw a circle on the ground, then step on it, making them fall through. Everyone shrugs and jumps after them. They look around to see they're all in a sound studio, Y/N's hair pulled up with hair gel and with the tips dyed F/C. Trollhunter keeps their helmet on but both human's clothing changes to black spy-like outfits.

"What's this?" Lena asks.

Y/N smiles, "One of my dreams is to be a cover artist. Trollhunter?"

The two humans smirk as music starts. (Y/N takes Sabrina Carpenter, Trollhunter takes Sofia Carson.)

Y/N starts, "My heart is racing
Can't stop this feeling
My ground is shaking
oooooh,

Wanna let go, go crazy
Dance on the ceiling
My world is waiting
oooooh!
"

Trollhunter takes over, "Don't want to stop,
Give up
I want it all 'cause I just ain't had it enough
Keep up
We're gonna show the world
That there's just no stopping us
"

They then both sing, "No one
Can hold us back
We're gonna break the rules
Can't hold us back
We're gonna light the fuse and us

I'm living on the Wildside, Wildside
No telling what I might find, might find
No stopping 'cause it feels right, feels right
I'm living on the
oh oh oh

On the Wildside, Wildside
So ready now it's my time, my time
No stopping 'cause it feels right, feels right
I'm living on the
oh oh oh oh
"

Everyone cheers. This dream seems pretty safe, considering that they're in a sound studio.

Trollhunter continues, "I used to think that
Good things were so bad
No need to hold back
Not me no more
I'm walking this road
I'm taking control
My heart can't say no!
"

They sing together, "I'm living on the Wildside, Wildside
No telling what I might find, might find
No stopping 'cause it feels right, feels right
I'm living on the
ooh ooh ooh

On the Wildside, Wildside
So ready now it's my time, my time
No stopping 'cause it feels right, feels right
I'm living on the
oooh ooh ooh ooh"

Y/N takes over, "Don't want to live my life
By design
Locked inside,
Break out!
"

Trollhunter continues, "Break the rules
Light the fuse
Something new that's right
"

Y/N goes quiet, "I'm living on the Wildside
No telling what I might find
No stopping 'cause it feels right
"

The girls sing together, "Oh oh oh oh
I'm living on the Wildside, Wildside
No telling what I might find, might find
No stopping 'cause it feels right, feels right
I'm living on the oh oh oh

On the Wildside, Wildside
So ready now it's my time, my time
No stopping 'cause it feels right, feels right
I'm living on the oh oh oh oh
I'm living on the Wildside, Wildside!
"

The group cheers at Y/N and the Trollhunter.

"That was awesome!" Webby cheers.

Y/N blushes, "Thanks. But it's just one of those dreams that'll probably never happen, like..." They frown, turning away.

"It's in the past, Y/N. It's different now." Trollhunter frowns, their hand landing on Y/N's shoulder.

Y/N turns, "Does... anyone else have any song recommendations? Or will we be going to the next dream?"

***

After a long montage where Y/N and the Trollhunter stayed near Lena keeping her away from the creepy appearing Magica, the group end up in a library.

"Oh, we're in a library?" Lena asks.

Violet shrugs, "My dream is to read more." as she turns a page in her book.

Y/N chuckles, "Twilight Sparkle."

"Awesome!" Huey exclaims

A librarian shushes the group.

Y/N asks, "Why would you dream up a librarian if you're the only one in the library?"

Trollhunter turns as they hear Lena gasp. They run over to the teen in concern.

"Lena, what's wrong?" Trollhunter asks.

They then notice a shadow growing, and at the end of the aisle of books, a Magica's silhouette appears. They immediately turn to Lena.

"Look, I know you're scared, Lena, but you don't have to be. She's not here. This is a dream, and you know that. Just laugh at her. When I was just a kid, things like shadows and what was hiding in them scared me, and I would hide under my blankets. But my parents taught me that's not the way to deal with fear at all." They try to encourage her.

Lena frowns, "I can't..."

Suddenly, a knocking is heard and both the humans fall over. Lena turns to her friends, happy that she might be waking up soon.

"Wake up kids, what are you lot still doing asleep? It's almost 6 am. Go get some jobs!" Scrooge's voice is heard.

Y/N asks, "Wait, how can I hear that?"

"Finally. Well, I guess we're waking up." Lena smiles, relaxed.

Webby frowns, "Oh, no. But it was your turn to choose a dream."

Lena smiles, "It's fine, really." A knocking is heard again, and Lena gasps, a bit of black hair falling out. Trollhunter and Y/N exchange worried glances as she runs behind a bookshelf. "Wake up, wake up, oh no, no."

Y/N and Trollhunter see Lena's hands turning green. She looks like she's about to get into another panic attack. The knocking finally stops.

"Meh, more porridge for me. Sleep tight." Scrooge's voice cheers.

Lena exclaims, "No, Scrooge, come back!"

"Firewood, I need you to breathe. Can you do that?" Y/N asks.

Webby asks, "Lena, are you okay?"

Lena covers her green hands in panic with her sleeves. She then covers her head with her hood. The others in the group ask her questions, their voices overlapping.

"Firewood, breathe." Y/N whispers, their hand on Lena's arm.

Trollhunter growls, "You're all crowding her! She's having a panic attack!"

Suddenly, Lena falls into her jacket like a portal.

"Lena!" They all yell.

Y/N creates a carpet and grabs their counterpart, jumping into the portal onto the carpet. The others follow into the portal, seeing strange things just before they exit. Y/N pulls at the end of the carpet, stopping it from crashing into the ground like the rest of the group. The carpet disappears and Y/N glares at the threatening castle looming over the group.

"Is this Lena's dream?" Webby asks.

Trollhunter growls, "It's a nightmare, and we need to get her out of it! Why do you think she was so awkward today?"

Everyone gives the Trollhunter a worried look. Y/N forms a machine gun into their hands, making them look to Y/N in shock.

"I'm getting Lena back. One way or another. Are you with me or not?" They growl.

The group nods.

***

The group bangs on the door of the castle, calling Lena's name in their dream forms.

"Alright, stand back!" Y/N yells.

They raise the machine gun and let it loose on the door. The door slowly falls, with a million holes in it.

"Remind me not to ever give you a weapon." Louie shudders.

Y/N smirks, "Too late. I already have enough weapons."

Webby sees Magica standing in the room and yells, "Magica! What did you do with Lena?"

Magica relaxes and sasses, "No, no, I am Lena. I just look like Magica."

"Stop mocking me!" Webby growls.

"Oh, why does everything I say sound sarcastic?" Magica asks.

Y/N and the Trollhunter exchange glances and put down their weapons at that sentence.

Webby yells, "Because you're a monster!"

Magica stops, fear showing in her eyes. Y/N gasps, throwing the gun away. The fear and pain are too obvious, you can't fake that.

"No! No, I'm not... a monster!" Magica exclaims, claws coming out of her hands, then bat wings growing out of her arms.

Trollhunter puts their sword on their back, their eyes narrowing behind "Magica" at the staff for a moment when Magica's eyes turn pink and pink fire comes out of her mouth.

"Webby, help!" Magica exclaims before a fireball shoots out of her mouth.

Webby defends against the fireball with an umbrella.

"Prove you're Lena!" Y/N exclaims. "What is the nickname-"

Before Y/N can continue, Dewey interrupts, trying to hit Magica with his basketball. He misses and ends up bouncing the ball into his own face.

Trollhunter yells, "Everyone, stop!"

Their yells go unheard as the rest of the group continues to attack the bat-duck-wolf. She flies above the room, trying to apologise when another fireball comes out of her mouth. Huey picks up Cat Louie and tosses him at the flying and guilty-looking duck, where he then tries to scratch out her eyes. Huey smiles in accomplishment and walks away, only to crash into a chandelier. Trollhunter lands their eyes underneath the chandelier, where Webby is standing, oblivious to the danger.

"Webby!" Trollhunter yells.

Just before the chandelier falls, the duck-bat pushes Webby out of the way, making it crash onto her.

"It's definitely Lena."

Violet throws some magic at Lena, making her crash into a mirror. Suddenly, Lena's reflection talks back to her.

"No matter how hard you fight it, they will always turn on you. Give in. No worrying if you measure up. If you're too flawed. You're tired. Come home to me." The reflection seems to smile.

Y/N groans, "Alright, I've had enough of this. Good thing I watch Anime."

The teen slams their hand into the ground, causing everything to shake and everyone falls down.

"Everyone take a chill pill! Look right in front of your eyes! It's Lena's bad dream! What do you think the bad dream's about? She's Magica's shadow, isn't she? THEN USE YOUR HEADS AND FIGURE OUT THAT SHE'S SCARED OF BECOMING MAGICA!" Y/N exclaims.

Webby's the first to listen as her eyes land on Lena's wrist where a friendship bracelet is.

"Lena? I'm sorry. I didn't see. Of course, it's you. Is this what's been bothering you? That you might become Magica?" Webby asks as she holds her hand.

Lena's voice finally changes back to normal as she nods, "I'm just so tired of fighting it. I am her."

Trollhunter scoffs, "That's ridiculous, Lena. You are your own person! You saved Webby. Evil people don't save good people, even if they are attacking them."

Lena frowns, "Of course I did. Of course, I would... She would never."

Suddenly, the reflection growls, "What are you doing? Don't listen to them! You are me!"

Y/N yells at the reflection, "You don't get to say anything here, Magica! You're just a stupid dream! Rack off!"

Webby ignores Y/N, continuing the thought to Lena, "You're not her. You're you. You put so much pressure on yourself to be good, but you're good enough."

Webby puts her hand out for Lena to take. Lena puts her hand on Webby's when Magica interrupts.

"Give me back my powers, you ungrateful brat!" Magica exclaims, grabbing at Lena's arm, trying to pull her into the mirror.

Y/N and the Trollhunter growl, jumping into action as Webby pulls Lena's arm away from Magica.

"For the glory of Hisirdoux, I will not let you suffer for your parental figure's stupid selfishness!" The Trollhunter growls, locking hands with Y/N and Webby.

Violet grabs Y/N's hand as a blue aura surrounds them. Louie joins in, then Dewey, then Huey, the blue aura spreading to them too.

"Holy crap, Magic of Friendship. I am never making fun of the Mane Six again." Y/N mutters.

Lena starts to slip from Webby's grip, when a tear slips out of Webby's eyes, landing on Lena, which covers her with the blue aura, saving Lena.

Y/N shoots up, finding themself in the magical Eclipse armour. They quickly jump over parts of the roof to get to the room the group is in only to see a drone in front of the window. The drone immediately leaves, making Y/N follow it. The group inside appears outside, running to the gate. Y/N slices the drone, destroying it just before it could leave.

"Trollhunter?" They all ask.

Y/N turns around, glad their helmet is still on.

"Yep. Come on!" Y/N exclaims.

They look outside the yard to see a dark shadow.

"Aunt Magica? You really have been creeping in my dreams all week." Lena exclaims.

Magica nods, "Night after night, I tried to get you to give your powers back to me, but you kept waking up. I thought if you had your "friends" to distract you, you'd stay asleep, but no. You can give my powers back right here, though. Take my hand. We're family. You need me."

Magica walks out of the shadows, which makes Y/N chuckle, then burst out laughing. She looks like she hasn't had a bath or shower in months, with a strange helmet on her head. Plus, her feathers are white instead of green.

"She's wearing some sort of telepathic helmet with a neural frequency amplifier. That's likely how she entered our dreams." Violet frowns.

Louie asks, "So you're using some weird doohickey? Isn't magic your whole thing?"

Lena gasps, "You really don't have any powers left. I don't need you. You need me. You are no longer allowed in my head. Ugh!"

Lena uses her magic to destroy Magica's helmet, and Y/N finally stops laughing, dwindling to a chuckle. Magica becomes filled with rage and leaps towards Lena, who's protected by the gate.

"Argh! I'll claw out your soul, grind your heart to dust beneath my heel, and rip my powers out of you with my bare teeth!" Magica yells.

"And if you do that, Magica, I will tear out your eyeballs and turn them into earrings and gift them to Y/N." The human smirks.

Everyone stares at Y/N in shock.

"Sorry. I think I've been hanging out with intense Trolls for too long." They chuckle awkwardly.

Lena smiles, "Ya know, I feel more rested than I have in a long time."

"Hey, Lena, Y/N wanted me to give you this." Y/N smiles, handing a piece of paper to Lena.

"What is it?" Lena asks.

Y/N smirks, "Where you can hang out with Y/N and I when you're not in a life-threatening situation."

The ducks and hummingbird walk away, the human staying at the gate as Magica yells out to Lena.

"You think you've won, but I am your fate. I am the dark force of the core of all things! I am Magica De Spell!"

Y/N walks right up to Magica and smirks, "And I. Am. The Trollhunter."

*WAM!*

The human punches the insane duck square in the jaw, knocking her back.

"You are pathetic. You used the last of your real magic summoning Angor Rot, didn't you? Now you can only rely on him and the Inferna Copula!" Y/N scoffs.

Magica growls, "How did you know about that?!"

Y/N climbs over the wall like Spiderman and grabs Magica's throat, causing her to choke and gasp for air.

"I am the protector of good Trolls and people from another dimension. I was sent here to protect people here because the Trollhunter's purpose was fulfilled back home. You stalked someone for a week through their dreams, and while she was by no means pure and innocent, she is not someone who deserves the pain I wish to inflict on you!" They growl.

They then drop the duck, causing her to inhale deeply.

"What are you?" Magica asks, fear in her eyes for the first time in a while.

Y/N smirks, "I'm a human. Tell Angor Rot that the Trollhunter demands that he leaves this family alone or I will hunt him myself."

Y/N punches Magica again, knocking her out, then walking away, not realising a pair of eyes were on them from inside the mansion gates, or the other eye from the forest watching them as they walk home.

A/N: What did you think, guys? Who was watching Y/N? One was obvious, but who else was watching? Leave your thoughts, comments, and suggestions as to the future of the book, please!
