Rafessor watched as Frost stepped through the portal and it dissipated as he left.

Rafessor turned to Florian and Henwy. Henwy turned away and made his way to the balcony, where he stood and watched over the land.

Rafessor turned to Florian and whispered, "I'm going to try to talk to them."

Florian eyed Henwy, then nodded.

Rafessor slipped out of the treehouse and made his way to the forest, where he searched for a small grove and sat, gazing out at the forestry.

He felt himself shift and his senses disappear. He looked around at the now foggy landscape and focused on a figure in the distance.

"Took you long enough," Nico called jokingly, strolling through the forest and up to Rafessor.

"Sorry, I've been busy with the whole 'possible end of the world' stuff," Rafessor replied, shifting so Nico could sit beside him.

Nico did so and tilted his head at Rafessor, "I'm assuming you're looking for help, then. Unfortunately, I can't. That entire area is affected in both realms. I can't get in."

Rafessor deflated, "Oh."

Nico placed a hand on Rafessor's shoulder, "Hey, what if we go see Jerome?"

Rafessor's eyes brightened, "How's he doing?"

Nico winced, "Not the best, but he's starting to accept it. He's probably watching Henwy right now."

The two stood and made their way through the forest, falling silent. The trees thinned to reveal the town. Rafessor hovered at the forest's edge, watching as Nico entered to retrieve Jerome.

Soon later, they revealed themselves, Jerome reluctantly following Nico, who was gently leading him with their hands intertwined.

Rafessor stared at Jerome, who stared back.

"Did you die?" Jerome asked quietly.

Rafessor shook his head, "No, I can travel between the physical and spirit realms."

Jerome nodded slowly, "Oh."

Nico gently rubbed Jerome's back.

"Are you doing okay?" Rafessor asked, reaching out for Jerome, but dropped his hand.

Jerome looked up and around, "I mean...I'm not really used to any of this yet. I know it's been a few days but none of it seems real."

Nico nodded, "It takes a while for you to get used to this. It's not so bad."

Jerome smiled softly. He turned to Rafessor, "Is Henwy okay? Will Sigils be okay?"

"Yes," Rafessor nodded, "They should be fine."

That seemed to calm Jerome down, since his shoulders relaxed.

The sting of cold air blew across Rafessor's skin. "Right then," He said adjusting his coat, "I need to be going back. I usually come by more often, but with how everything has been going, it's been really hard to set aside time."

"It's okay, we understand," Nico smiled assuringly. Rafessor waved as the cloud of mist dissipated with his friends.
