Sid's Pov

"I said what happened and now it's your decision to believe or not but we need to find out the truth behind this master plan" Rii said with determination. I sat there broken. There is a silence to my soul; I feel the chill in my blood, coldness bringing my synapses of my brain to a stand still.

Regret washed over me like the long slow waves on a shallow beach. Each wave was icy cold and wet shivers down my spine. I longed to go back and take a different path, bit now that was impossible. There was no way back. There was no way to make it right.

"Sid, are you listening?" Rii asked me shaking my shoulder. "Yes Rii we need to find out the truth cause I believe that my wife was not behind all these cheep game and I already started regretting me mistakes. Now it's my time and I have to fix everything. I'll not leave the baster whoever is behind this. They separated me from my love for all these years. I'll not leave them" I said in anger but my inner self said I'm the only reason for that separation.

Yes I should trusted her, at least I should heard her statement before coming for a conclusion but why I became so heartless. Something flashed in my mind. I tried to remember and finally I succeeded.

On that day I traveled home hoping Avu was not the victim, I got a call from Rits. "Hello Rits, you're OK right?" I asked with concern since she was admitted in hospital. "Yeah Siddharth, I'm fine but need to tell you something" she said hesitatingly. "Tell me Rits" I asked and what she said shocked me to the hell.

"Sid, Avu called me yesterday. She talked with me so aggressively. She asked me to resign my job, I replied I wont. She was extremely angry that time and she threatened me saying that she will kill me, if I didn't leave your life. I was afraid but I said I won't and ended the call. Today this accident happened, I don't know what to think and how to react.

I don't know whether you will believe this or not. I have sent you the call recording audio too. Please check it, I have an inbuilt call recording app in my mobile all the calls will be recorded. I'm not blaming Avu but her voice was so determined yesterday so I informed you" Rits said making me numb.

I heard the recording and yes that was my avu's voice. How was that possible and that made me so vigorous and I sent her out without considering anything.

"Rii this the what happened that night. Rits gave me the recording and that triggered my anger. Cause Avu's word in that recording was like she doubt my character which made me totally blank. I know I shouldn't believed that so blindly. I should have done something to find out the truth. I have done a great mistake Rii" I poured out much heart.

"Atleast now you realized your mistake, that is a good thing. So in my guess Rits should know the truth" Rii said which I agreed.

"OK then let's enquire her. Where is the truck driver?" Rii asked. "He was released, I too thought punishing him is not fair, so I didn't force them to impression him" I said. "OK then you enquire her and let's search out the culprit soon" Rii said with confidence. "Sure" I replied.

"Hello Rits, there is a meeting today. So you come to office within half an hour" I said professionally. "OK Sid I'll be there in time" she replied and ended the call. "I will not forgive whoever did this to my Avu cause I'm not going forgive myself too for hurting her" I uttered those words with determination.

"Do it Siddharth" Rii said and left the place.

In office,

"Hii Sid, when will the client arrive. Should I do Anny prior arrangements" Rits asked so formally.

"Meeting is with my PA Miss. Ritika. So there is no need of any prior arrangement since the client is standing in front of me" I said looking at her straight.

"Oh, tell me Siddharth" she said with a nervous smile. "Take your seat Miss. Ritika" I said sarcastically. "OK just answer my question

"Why did you taken the truck driver in bail? Was he your relative?" I asked narrowing my brows. Her facial reaction changed and sweat formed on her forehead.

"Actually Sid, I was about to say that with you. I took him in bail because I didn't want Avu to be accused and that will be a very big black mark on your family. I don't want that to happen, so I took him in bail and requested him not to reveal the truth" she replied nervously.

"Really, I'm so proud of you Rits. How much you cared for my family but if you are so concern, you should have saved my mother's life instead you saved yourself. How you jumped out from the car at the perfect timing like you planned the timing" this question made her to cough.

"Drink some water Rits, don't get panic. Just say how did you jumped out before the truck hit the car?" I was so angry and totally was visible in my eyes.

"Actually Sid, I felt that truck was coming towards us. I tried to pull aunty too but before the truck hit the car and everything went black. I was injured too, how can you ask this merciless question?" She said raising her voice.

"waah!! Great. What did you say concern or merciless, Haan merciless. Yes I'm merciless and heartless too, I never spare someone's life when I felt that person betrayed me" those words came like arrows which made her gulp in fear.

"OK, you was injured and you was unconscious but how did you called me at the perfect time to complain about Avu, you gave some proofs too right. How come your mobile got saved in that tragedy, really strong mobile. In that unconscious state you searched your mobile, you found it and you searched the proofs and you called me and explained everything so clearly with proofs. Wow! What a professionalism, great Rits" I said starring her fear filled face.

"I remembered that, so u let you know Sid, that's it" she stumbled in her words.

"OK, now the final question. This is an visual round, so I will play a video for your information and you answer the question" I said playing the video.

The video was on the party day. She gave some drinks to waiter and asked him to give it to Sid. Sid drank that and was unconscious. She took him to the hotel.

Rit's eyes widen in shock seeing the video. Fear engulfed her. "Now answer me, why you behaved so cheap? Don't try to hide or to lie again" I asked controlling my anger.

"Who is cheap? Your wife is cheap, she was the one who snatched you from me by seducing you" she said which brought out the beast in me. I slapped her hard where she lost her control. "Don't you dare to talk about her" I warned her.

"I'm happy, finally you slapped me and keep in mind only the person who has all rights over other person will not hesitate to slap them" she said with a smirk.

"Don't be stupid, I believed you. I trusted you as you're my best friend from my school days but what you did to Me? Why you changed so cheap Rits?" I busted out my grief.

"Best friends!!? I loved you Siddharth, I loved you truly from our school days. My love was so true and pure form my heart, I stood for you and I admired all your activities. I thought if I confess my feelings that will be a distraction to your career. So I just gave some gap for our relationship but she came into your life from nowhere and snatched you from me.

I never got angry on you Siddharth and I can't cause I love you that much but I couldn't forgive her. How dare she came into my life and snatched my entire happiness. So I decided to snatch her happiness. And yes, I did this everthing.

I called her and I blackmailed her using your fame and reputation. She got panicked and transferred that amount. I used my brain cleverly and I made that believe you too. I succeeded in my plan. I made her life her for four years but unexpectedly she came into your life again which is now making me frustrated every day" she spit out a those toxic words.
