Day 2 of training camp wasn't any better. If anything, it was worst.
Brian wasn't very easy going when it comes to training after all.

At 5:30am, February the 1st, Javi and Yuzuru were in charge of making breakfast.

They were both amazing at cooking and produced a filling start-of-the-day-meal.

But when it came to lunch, Nam, Sota and Melody were not the best at culinary.

'Uh, I don't think you guys wanna eat this,' Nam said, as he placed the plate of dish on the dining table set up in the gym.

'I don't think we do,' Javi agreed, staring at the lump of what was supposed to be stir fried cabbage.

And that was only the beginning.
The steamed fish was a little burned and uncook at some parts. The rice was solid as rock. And the soup was tasteless.

So this inedible food resulted in them making sushi and onigiri instead. It was the easiest thing to make and it was fast as no one wanted to wait any longer, plus, Brian had given them only an hour to cook and eat.

....

After noon training focused more on targeting individual weaknesses.

So naturally, Yuzuru worked on building his step sequence to a level 4.

Javi worked on entry and exits of jumps.

Nam worked on improving his speed and skating skills.

Sota worked on his expressiveness and transitions.

Melody worked on balance and stability.

And....she just fell from her balance beam.

Nam asked, 'you okay, Dy?'

'Yeah'

'Why are you working on a balance beam?'

'Ask Brian! He says that it'll improve my balance and center of gravity so I wouldn't stumble in my step sequences. So he wants me to do my step sequence on this thing. But I told him nobody does thier step sequence in a straight line, much less a four inches wide beam. I'm not a gymnast. But he said I just need to do the turns and steps not in the whole sequence, and it's proving to be harder than it looks.'

Brian called out, 'it'll also help improve your lines and carriage'

'But I already have good lines and carriage,' Melody complained.

'Not as good as Yulia Lipnitskaia's'

'As a coach, you should not be comparing me to my competitor!'

'Well then you better be the best, so I don't have to compare you to others'

'Brian can so mean sometimes,' Nam noted.

Yuzuru butted in, 'but it's true, my Yulia has the best lines ever'

'Pssh, just cause you have a thing for her,' Javi mocked.

'Your Yulia, eh?' Sota joined in the teasing of Yuzuru.

...

Once night practice was over, Brian said they could go out to the city for while and have some freedom, maybe even go home, but must be back by sunrise of tomorrow for Day 3 of the training camp.
So maybe he wasn't that mean after all.

Deciding to go home, Melody and Sota took the subway as usual. Whilst Javi, Yuzuru and Nam went around town.

On the subway ride back, Melody asked with drowsy eyes, 'can I sleep on your shoulder?'

It took Sota by surprise and snapped him out of his daydream.
'Yes, of course'

And minutes later, she was soundly asleep on his shoulder. He slipped his right hand into her left hand and intertwined them.
But minutes later, they had also arrived at her subway stop.

It was time to get off, but she wasn't awake and he didn't want to wake her.

He glance over at her peaceful face, and decided against it.

After all, he didn't want this moment to end.

He didn't want them to separate paths.

And he didn't want to let go of her.

Right now, he is as close as he can get to her, without anyone around to tease them.

Sometime later, when a man walks in from the subway station, he asks Sota if he can sit beside them.
And he says, 'Sure, you can. Just don't wake my Flower'

The man looks over and smiles at him, promising not to wake his precious Flower.

As time passed endlessly, Sota eventually dosed off too, hands still intertwined with her's.

As the Subway moved back and forth from the line, many people came and went.

Quite a while later, Melody finally woke up.
She looked around confused.

How long has it been?
We're still on the subway?
Eh, Sota asleep too?
What time is it?

When she turned to check her phone, she almost yelled out in shock.

It's 3am???!?
Am I reading this wrong?!

So she decided to wake Sota up.
'Hey! Is it 3am? Why are we still on the subway!? Why did you not wake me up when we passed our stop?!'

'Calm down, it's okay. I didn't wake you up cause you looked so tired just now and you were fast asleep. And yes we are still on the subway, it is 3am.'

'Oh'

As she processed all this information, she felt a squeeze from a left hand and just noticed that they were holding hands.
'It's alright, nothing happened. We can go home now if you want.' Sota looked at her.

To his surprise, she said no.
'Let's not go home. I'm not tired anymore, I've already slept a full 7 hours. I think we should go explore the streets now, at the dead of night. Isn't that exciting? It's gonna be fun!!! Oh, unless you're tired, then we can go home and you can rest'

'No, I'm not tired. And exploring the city at night? I've never done such a fun and rebellious thing before. But aren't you afraid? I mean, Toronto can be a sketchy place at night.'

'Nah, besides, I have you. You'll protect me'

He smiled at that.
Wow, she really trusts me.
That's a good thing Sota.
Right.

And so, the two teens hopped off the subway and went on their way to explore the city with their hands still locked together.

'Hey, let's get some cotton candy by the little midnight market.' Melody suggested.

'Sure, and while we're on that, get some balloons too'

'Balloons? Why?'

'You'll see'

So they took turns between eating the strawberry flavoured cotton candy and filling up the balloons with water.

Now that they have a full arsenal of water balloons, the fight begans!

Running along the streets, under the moonlight, starlights and city lights, they threw water balloons at each other having a full on water fight, splashing, laughing and playing like 5 year olds.

And when they used up their whole storage of water balloons, they scooped up some snow from the road side and had a snow ball fight.

They got so into the fight that they even started shoving each other into piles of snow swept by the sides of the pavement. Melody pushed Sota in a pile of fresh powder snow, and he pulled her in.

'Hey! You got me snow covered!'

'Well, you pushed me in first!'

'I'm gonna get you!'

'We'll see about that!'

And when they were satisfied with the amount of snow they were covered in, they moved on.

Walking along a street of houses, Sota came up with a sneaky idea.

The 5 year olds crept up to the door step of a house, and pressed the doorbell. And when they were sure someone was coming down to answer the door, they ran and hid behind a bush. Laughing whenever the owner's face looked confuzzled. (puzzled and confused)

Multiple times, the people who answered the door of the house looked like they'd seen a ghost. Now that, cause Sota and Melody to crack up.

Finally, drying up all the laughing tears, they walked along a rather busy street, when someone shoved them off the pavement with such brut force.

They turned to scan the situation. It was a man in black :) Behind them, was a lady calling out, 'Help, help! That man took my purse!'

With that, Selody leaped into action.

They chased after the man in black. He was faster, but they could last longer.

Eventually, when the man's speed and energy was draining, Selody raced into attack.

Melody kicked his spine, which caused him to lose balance and slow down. Sota then jumped from behind and pushed the man down. The man rolled himself over, but before he could get up, Melody bent down and uppercut his jaw, backfist his temple and temporarily cause him to whrith in pain. Meanwhile, Sota pinned him down by the shoulders and took the abandoned purse.

Selody then went back to the lady whom the purse belongs to.
'Oh thank you so much, kids! I really appreciate the help! What can I do to repay you?'

'No repayment necessary,' they smiled.

'Oh you two are too kind! Thank you, uh, Melody Pang and Sota Yamamoto?'

'How do you know us?'

'I watch figure skating'

'Oh, that explains it'

Someone called the police, and a few other people made sure the man in black didn't run away.

Melody turned to Sota,
'Isn't that guy being a tad bit too obvious, wearing black and all?'

'He probably thought he could blend in with the night?'

'Huh, maybe...anyways, high five! We are Team Supreme! Hahaha'

'Yeah!'

Suddenly, the lady approached them again,
'I think you two will need to stay back to answer some questions from the police?'

The two of them turned to each other with unsure looks.
'Uh..we don't do police. Or anything to do with the news, media, or reporters.'

'But-' the lady started to argue when she was cut off.

'How about for our repayment, you let us not talk to the police'

The lady was hesitant, but then understood and agreed.

When they left, she stood thinking to herself while watching them walk away back to the Cricket Club.

What nice kids they are.....

Great figure skating talents too...

I wonder what are two figure skating pros doing in the dead of morning?

Then, she saw their intertwined hands and smiled to herself.

Ah, kids...

Isn't it nice to be young?

I wonder if they are dating?

Not many people find their one true love til they get older, much older

In fact, hardly anyone finds the one at this young age in highschool

I do hope that their relationship lasts, they are perfect for each other

Meant to be.....

Hey! Thank you for reading!
So excited for 4CC even though it's not until like a few weeks time...
Anyways...
I was thinking if I should do a sequel? Or continue on with the same book?

Would you guys prefer short chapters but more chapters, or long chapters and less chapters?

And say if I were to have 100 chapters, would you prefer it to be split into 2books or just keep it as one? I didn't know if I'll have 100 chapters exactly but I think it'll be around there? Or less? Idk....

Pls give me your opinion!!!!
Oh and the picture is just something funny I wanted to share, but I didn't make it! Total disclaimer!
:)
