Ferretpaw's Recovery

Amberpaw woke up to Ferretpaw awkward in her mossy nest, She got well enough to eat, Ferretpaw devoured the fat mouse within a few heartbeats. Starlingbreeze was still watching Ferretpaw.

Amberpaw yawned and padded out, she nosed the fresh kill pile, and picked a vole for herself, Elmlake slid through camp and he added a mouse to pile and trotted off, Elmlake seemed sad, ever since Emberkit's death. And he seemed more exhausted than usual.

Elmlake trotted out the camp again, he wanted the poor kit to be alive. A snap echoed behind him, Elmlake turned around, "Who's there?!" Elmlake hissed. A white cat pounced and pinned him. "You clan cats will pay!" A white cat growled, as she cat slashed his right eye as he yelped, Elmlake kicked off the mysterious cat, as they fled.

"Come back, Coward!" He yelled after her as Brown figure attacked him. Her let mrrow of surprise, "Leave her alone!" She cat hissed. Brown cat bit his back and sliced his belly, he turned, grabbing brown cat and flung them. Brown cat smiled and fled. Who were they?

Elmlake heaved his breath, he slowly went back to camp, pain surged in him as he fell at mouth of the camp. "Elmlake!!" A cat called him before he fainted. Dandelionpaw ran to him as Starlingbreeze picked him up and disappeared in the den. "He will be fine, we have tree climbing skills to do." Her mentor voice came behind her, Puddlefrost shooed her to exit.

They arrive at tallest and thickest tree of forest, "Make sure to get a good grip" Puddlefrost jumped and sunk his claws in the bark and moved each pawstep, and went higher until he reached the second branch. "The second branch is our height limit." Puddlefrost called as he slowly went down, " To avoid injuries." He added as he plopped himself to ground. Dandelionpaw started her way up and she lost one of paws and did quickly tighten other paws as she pushed ungripped paw to bark.

Whew! That was close...Dandelionpaw gulped and climbed until she reached the second branch, she slowly slid down and landed. "Good job! We will practice so that we are safe when dog and flood comes." Dandelionpaw nodded, The day dogs climb trees is the day a mouse is bigger than a kit.

Dandelionpaw paced along Puddlefrost's side until he stopped. " Squrriel!" He murmured as he dashed and ducked under a bush, She pursued behind him as he was scrambled up a tree and knocked the squirrel down, Puddlefrost got on a branch and launched himself down and killed squrriel. "Another reason we need learn how to climb trees." His mew was muffled.

Dandelionpaw opened her jaws, catching smell of mouse. She darted and pinned mouse and delivered a swift bite. She held it with pride and padded to the camp, after Puddlefrost let his pretty drop on pile, she placed hers gently and dragged a robin for herself to share with Puddlefrost.
"Want to share?" She asked, Puddlefrost licked his lips, locking his eyes on piece of prey.

"Yes!I am starving!" He replied, crouching to eat. Dandelionpaw tore away meat and gulped, Dandelionpaw got up and nudged leftovers to Puddlefrost as she licked her lips and turned her head to groom her ruffled fur. She walked over to Starlingbreeze's den.

"Is he okay?" She questioned Starlingbreeze nodded, "Of course" Starlingbreeze pressed web on his wounds. "We will have to warn patrols to keep extra eye out for these unknown cats." Starlingbreeze mewed as she gently licked Elmlake's cut.

"Ferretpaw is well and will start her training tomorrow."Starlingbreeze mewed, Vipernose came in at the moment. "Thank Starclan!! Hey, May I have a poppy seed? I having pain while I sleep." He asked, glanced over to small dots. "Okay?" She responded, pushed the seed to him.

Amberpaw was at Elmlake's side, stroking him with her tail. She let marigold drip on his wounds as he winced. "Maybe I am not fit to treat wounds or cats.." She muttered, "I heard that, Don't say such a mouse brained thing. You doing great!" Starlingbreeze mewed.

Amberpaw padded over to supply, when something moved, A black figure darted past her. "Inkkit!" Starlingbreeze yowled, as black kit darted knocking all herbs and scattering them. "Shadowglow!" Starlingbreeze called as she cat came in "What?" "Take your kit! " Black Tom ran over to his mother. "Inkkit! I told you not to go here.." She scolded, grabbing him.

Dandelionpaw arched her back "I am gonna get going." She meowed as she headed for exit. Rainkit and Inkkit were rolling and wrestling. " Hey Rainkit and Inkkit!' The two kits stopped ans scurried over to apprentice. "Teach us a hunting move!" Rainkit pleaded, Dandelionpaw shrugged and crouched, "Like this" She shifted her tail upwards.

Rainkit crouched as Inkkit copied. They pounced and hit each other, "Ow!ow!" Inkkit and Rainkit mewed, "Haha.. Good try." Dandelionpaw licked their heads. " Dandelionpaw!Your on patrol!" Dandelionpaw quickly turned and leaving the kits, Ravenkit sat shyly, eyes gleaming from nursery.

Ravenkit knew that Rainkit and Inkkit were only few moons older than her. Ravenkit spotted the two kits disappear among exit of camp, Ravenkit hesitated and looked around, should she tell?Or will her siblings hate her for telling?

Ravenkit sighed and spun and ran over to Shadowglow, She prodded the queen. Climbing over her and gripped he rainy claws and yelled "Mama! Wake up!" Shadowglow jolted up as Ravenkit stumbled and flopped to the ground.

"Where are Rainkit and Inkkit?" She asked, "They went out of the camp.." Fear clung on Ravenkit's heart as Queen yowled. "My kits! Their gone!" She scrambled to her paws and ran out, As she did two crys rang out. "Kits!" Shadowglow and Troutfoot slipped out.

Catching Inkkit's scent, Shadowglow followed the trail until horrible scent of Thunderpath came up, Inkkit was shaking as little limp body laid on black hard surface, Rainkit breathing was shallow and she groaned, "No! Rainkit!" She yelled as she leaned over the kit, thin trail of blood slither out Rainkit's mouth.

When they arrived back at camp, Amberpaw ran over to injured kit and brought her to the den. "...." Starliingbreeze was speechless. "No..no.. It can't be! Rainkit you can't be dead.."Amberpaw shook as little kit stopped breathing,Rainkit was nothing but stillness. "She's gone." Starlingbreeze mewed, flatten her ears.

Amberpaw ducked out the den and slid into the nursery. "Shadowglow.... I am sorry, Rainkit is dead." Amberpaw gaze avoiding Queen's eyes "No! Nooo! What we're you two thinking?" She turned to Inkkit, "We... j-just curious." He mumbled, as Shadowglow just fell and sobbing, Troutfoot slid in to comfort her.

"No leaving the nursery for two moons!" Troutfoot growled at his son, Inkkit just nodded and buried himself under some moss. Ravenkit looked at them and trotted to Inkkit. "Rainkit's burial will start soon" Troutfoot murmured.

AN:Done!:3 SAD day. Anyway Rainkit was ran over by a car and died due to late treatment. Yep..YEP!Okay... R.I.P RAINKIT
