After Annabeth, Percy and Chiron discussed about the prophecy, Annabeth walked Link back to the Hermes cabin. Once they arrived the cabin was empty and Link stepped inside.

"Link," Annabeth called, the boy to turned to see Annabeth with a worried face. For a moment he imagined her with piercing sky blue eyes and paler skin, but when he blinked the features disappeared. "I'll talk to Chiron about your situation later this afternoon, until then have some rest." She said, Link nodded in response. Annabeth closed the door and left, leaving Link alone in the cabin. Link went to the spot on the floor, with his leather backpack and mask. He stared at his creepy mask, he never wore it for some reason. It's just, wherever the mask is the temperature seem to drop all of a sudden. He continued to stare, debating if it's worth a try to put it on and see what he looks like with the mask on him. After moments of debating with himself mentally, he finally decided to put the mask on. He lifted the mask towards his face. It didn't have any straps that would keep the mask on, so he just held it on his face and got out his mother's small heart mirror that he had kept to remind him of her and looked at his reflection. What he saw terrified him, the mask somehow was the exact size and shape as his face, the eye holes shaped perfectly, the nose fitted exactly his. It was like it was made for him, for this very day. He put the mask down, he was creeped out at what had happened. He put the mask in his backpack so he wouldn't have to see it. He pushed out the thoughts about the creepy mask and laid down, soon after he fell asleep.
