"Percy, I have a gift for you," Druella smiled as she pinched her brother's chubby pale freckled cheeks.

Rhys, Camilla, Percy, Druella, Cygnus, Bellatrix, and Narcissa were all having dinner of roasted chicken with rosemary and broccoli together in the Rosier Mansion. Druella took out a chocolate frog box and gave it to her brother, who took it happily. "Thank you!"

"Percy," Camilla called, and Percy turned to look at her. "Finish your meal first, you can have that after dinner."

"But-"

"Percy," Camilla said in a warning tone. Percy pouted but did as he was told, and puts away the chocolate frog box. Druella chuckled as she kissed the little boy's cheeks.

"You're so cute," Druella complimented and sighed. "I miss having a toddler."

"As if I'll grow back down-" Bellatrix snorted. Narcissa rolled her eyes.

"Can he stay with us tonight?" Narcissa asks. "Please? He's so cute!"

"I hope-" Druella laughed at her two daughters before looking at her parents. "So? May Percy stay with us? He'll still be in one piece by tomorrow."

"Well-" Rhys chuckled, looking at his empty plate. "That should be Percy's decision, shouldn't it? Do you want to?"

Percy looked up, putting down his fork and swallowed to see the entire family looking at him with mixed looks. Bellatrix's and Narcissa's were of pure admiration, Druella's was of love and welcoming, Cygnus was- well, Percy can't quite tell what Cygnus' stare means. Rhys' was of nervousness, and Camilla's were encouraging.

"I don't want to go," Percy decided, and he can't help but realise Camilla's encouraging look turns to dislike, though she doesn't say anything.

"It'll be fun, I promise!" Narcissa tried to convince him. "We have toys and books to tell!"

"I don't want to be far from Daddy," Percy denied.

"Hey, don't worry about me," Rhys said. "If you want to go, go. Don't worry about me, ok?"

"No-" Percy shook his head. "I don't want to be far from Daddy."

"Very well," Camilla said, pulling a smile that feels fake for Percy. Percy smiled awkwardly before opening his chocolate frog box, having finished his meal. Percy immediately grabbed his chocolate frog from the box, not wanting to let it go loose.

"Oh, who did you got?" Druella asked, smiling fondly at her little brother.

"I got Circe!" Percy said, enjoying his chocolate frog whilst reading the card that follows.

"That is so cool!" Bellatrix adored.

"I think it's already time we go home, isn't it?" Cygnus said, looking at the watch that he carries. "It's getting a bit late."

"Of course, let me escort you out," Camilla said, standing up. Rhys also stood up, directing the Black family to the fireplace before they use the floo. Percy held Rhys' hand as they ascended the stairs, Camilla following behind.

"Bye, Daddy," Percy tugged Rhys' shirt and kissed him on the cheeks before going to his room. Rhys headed to his room, laying down his bed.

"Rhys!" Camilla entered their room. "It's our anniversary tomorrow, don't you remember?"

"I do-" Rhys nodded, taking his copy of the Daily Prophet from the black wooden table next to his side of the king-sized bed.

"Why didn't you let Percy stay with Druella?" Camilla continued. "We could've gone to Germany."

"It's up to him-" Rhys shook his head. "If Percy-"

"Oh, Percy, Percy!" Camilla raised her voice. "He's all you think of!"

"When Evan or Druella were Percy's age, they're all we think of! We only go to dates after they have gone to Hogwarts!" Rhys exclaimed. "Why is Percy any different?"

"He just is!"

"Why don't you go to Germany alone, huh?" Rhys asked. "You're an adult, Camilla. You can go by yourself."

"But you're my husband!"

"And Percy's our son!"

"Adopted!" Camilla reminded. "You know what- we should've never adopted him!"

"Don't you dare-" Rhys smashed a bed lamp placed above the table to the wall, causing Camilla to flinch. "Talk shit about our adopted son!" Rhys pointed at the door. "You sleep alone, I don't want to do anything with you. Livvy!"

"Yes?" Livvy asked, snapping into their room.

"Clean that shit."

"Of course." Rhys stood up, leaving Camilla without a second thought. Turning left, Rhys entered Percy's room to see his son playing with once Evan's stuffed rat, who immediately turned his head to the door as soon as he heard it opened.

"Daddy?" Percy called.

"Yes, my knight?"

"Is it true?" Percy asked and Rhys can feel his breathing get stuck in his throat. Rhys internally cursed at how smart Percy is for his age. "Was I adopted?"

"What makes you-"

"I keep hearing Mummy and you say it," Percy cuts him. "Is it true?"

"Why don't you scoot over, Percy?" Rhys requested, and Percy did. Rhys occupied the space next to Percy, his fingers briefly brushing over the curtains of Percy's queen-size bed. "Yes," Rhys answered truthfully. "But I don't love you less."

"What about my birth parents?" Percy asked. "Why would they give me away?"

"Your biological mother became unhealthy and needed medical help, but the price was too expensive and they need help," Rhys explained. "Your mummy and I want a child so badly, so we made a deal. The deal was that we pay the bill in exchange for us taking care of you."

"Oh." Rhys kissed Percy's forehead. "How would you describe them?"

"Well-" Rhys sighed, looking up to imagine the memory. "Both of them had red hair. Your birth mother was petite. Your birth father was more like you." Rhys looked down to lock eyes with Percy. "He had a tall stature, he also needs glasses."

"Can I see the adoption scroll?"

"It's in my vault," Rhys answered. "Now, what story do you want me to tell you?"

"A story about-" Percy had a questioning look on his face, furrowing his brows. "A kingdom made of sweets?"

"Alright, my little knight-" Rhys kissed Percy's head and Percy giggled. "Once upon a time in a land far, far away, there was a beautiful country made entirely of sweets."

"Entirely?"

"Entirely," Rhys confirmed. "The pavement was made of hard chocolate, the walls of the houses hard toffee, the trees were candy floss with sweets, everything."

"That sounds like a beautiful country," Percy hugged his father.

"It is-" Rhys nodded. "There was this beautiful castle and inside resides a very kind king. The king was named Percival-" Percy laughed, "and he had his trusted knight he always comes to for advice and protection, named Scabbers."

"That sounds like a beautiful kingdom." Rhys chuckled humorously.

"Do you know how much I love you?" Rhys asked, and Percy shook his head.

"No."

"Thiiiis much!" Rhys stretched his right arm as high as he could with Percy resting over his left shoulders for him to see clearly.

"I love you too, Daddy-" Percy hugged Rhys and Rhys kissed his forehead.

"And you know that I will always protect both you and Scabbers?" Rhys asked, patting Scabbers' head before Percy's.

"You don't care that I'm adopted?"

"Not in the slightest," Rhys confirmed. The two of them laid down just like that, Percy finding warmth and comfort in his father's hug.
