Thana Mays was born with a gift. A wondrous gift that was given to her and must be protected at all costs. At least, that's what most people in the kingdom of Jamiah think. She must be tucked away in the castle, kept safe and happy at all times because she has the power to win the war for them against the Galvin. There's only one tiny secret that the Mays family must keep from their kingdom; Thana doesn't need to be protected, they need to protect people from her. Her 'wonderous' gift that the people of her Kingdom keep going on and on about is deaths touch, which lets her instantly kill any living creature instantly. Her skin is deadly, and anyone who comes in contact with it will immediately die.

Thana has always held a sheltered life, after killing her mother and most of the doctors in the room, she was never allowed to go outside. But she's read about the outside world, the awful war that goes on against the Galvin. Until one night, where a bomb hits the outskirts of the castle, and Thana is forced to run. Run, until she comes face to face with the exact creature she was running from.

Rose Thorn was a nobody, infamous for nothing other than her lack of magic, and important to nobody and nothing. Until, when the draft picks call her name, and all of a sudden the cripple is forced into a soldier's uniform and sent out on the front lines. She fails miserably, almost instantly becoming separated from her troop, and being left out when both the Galvin and the awful Kymers return to their bases.

She's always had nothing, knew nothing, a peasant that was a mere pebble on the side of the road. But when a fateful encounter with a girl from the other side shakes her world, she begins to question whether she can handle the consequences of the actions she takes?

An angel of death. A rose with a dark past. Worlds of inequality and love separating them. And red ties of fate bringing them together.
