The atmosphere at Freedom High School buzzed with excitement.

Break was there!

Most of the children's parents had already picked them up.

Richard sat on the front steps of Freedom High School as he waited for Bruce to come and get him.

"Hey there." a familiar voice called.

"Hey." Richard said quietly.

"How are you doing?" Black Canary asked.

"I'm still mad at him." Richard said.

"I was afraid you would be." Black Canary sat next to him.

"Why did he abandon me?" Richard asked eyes getting teary. 

"Richard he didn't abandon you. He dropped you off at a boarding school." Dinah tried to clear up.

"He left me. Abandonment." Richard said.

A black car pulled up and parked in one of the parking spots.

"And he's here." Richard said and got up throwing his book-bag around his shoulders and grabbing his luggage bag.

As Richard was halfway to the car, the Headmistress and Headmaster came to stand next to Black Canary.

"This isn't going to end well is it?" Clark asked.

"Probably not. He's still mad at Bruce." Dinah said.

Richard got to the trunk of the car where Bruce was already standing.

"Hey there champ." Bruce smiled.

"Don't call me that!" Richard snapped at him.

"Richard." Bruce stopped smiling.

"No. You left me here alone." Richard put his luggage into the trunk and slammed the trunk.

"I'm still mad at you." Richard said and got into the passenger side and slammed his door. 

Bruce pinched the bridge of his nose.

'This isn't going to be a fun drive.' Bruce thought.

"Oh gosh. He's made it clear that he's mad." Clark said.

"This isn't going to be a good break for either of them will it?" Amanda asked Black Canary.

"Hard to tell. I have been getting to him, so it might be okay." Black Canary said uncertainly. 

"Did I miss it?" Barry asked as he suddenly showed up next to everyone.

"Yep. Richard's mad and Bruce has already pinched his nose." Black Canary said.

"Oh. This isn't going to be good." Barry said.

"What do you think will happen when he gets back?" Barry asked.

Dinah groaned.

"Why'd you have to remind me about that BEFORE break? Why not the day before?" Dinah asked.

"Hey, I'm just being realistic. If he and Bruce do not make up or whatever, he's just going to come back worse than before." Barry said.

"In that case, I'll get the shock collar." Waller muttered.

Clark laughed.

"Wait you don't actually mean that right?" Clark asked.

"Might do him some good with anger management." Slade said coming up behind the group.

"Shush Slade. You're just still mad that he beat you." Black Canary said.

"I was closer to his neck." Slade whispered venomously. 

"And need I remind you that if you say anything else about that incident or keep bringing it up, I'll get a shock collar for the BOTH of you." Waller said.  

"You can't do that to an adult, much less a kid!" Slade said.

"I've got friends in higher positions. DON'T make me use them." Waller threatened. 

Slade raised his eyebrow.

"I understand. You are a woman that shouldn't be messed with." Slade said.

"And you BETTER keep that in mind." Waller said and walked off.

"Heh! She's almost as bad as a mad Huntress." Barry laughed.

"Yeah. I'd hate to see Amanda mad." Clark said.

"Well, I'm off to grab something to eat; anyone want to join me?" Barry asked.

And so the group went their separate ways.
