"When are you going to confess?"

Chan flopped down on Jiro's bed with his phone in hand while Jiro just stood there with his eyes furrowed. The boy furrowed his eyebrows as well with a pout. It seemed like he said something wrong or it's really Jiro's pokeface.

"What?" Chan asked.

"Why are you asking me that?" Jiro asked back as he went over to get a shirt to change on before he went to sit down on the edge of the bed.

The boy hummed, "Well...Yanna's waiting."

"Waiting? For what?" the man asked as he threw his duffel bag somewhere where he wouldn't get tripped on. He isn't even bothered that his room is messy even though Chan's here.

"For her first kiss."

Jiro looked back Chan like the boy said something bad. He doesn't know but he didn't like hearing that. He should be thinking about working harder to be court Yanna as soon as possible, but it felt different upon feeling nothing. The man scratched his nape and looked away. He doesn't really want to be obvious.

Jiro thought it'd be a waste if he'll give up on Yanna just because it was just a puppy love that would go away in just a month, and Chan helped him. Chan's efforts would be nothing then if he'll stop. Well, it is Chan's fault why he's starting to feeling nothing for Yanna.

"Hey, are you still there, Ji?"

Chan stared at him with an eyebrow raised. He sat up and placed himself beside his best friend on the edge of the bed. Jiro looked back at him but got flustered when Chan got nearer.

"So? When are you confessing?" Chan asked, "So that I can help you--"

"N-No."

"What? What do you mean by no?" The boy asked with a frown on his face.

Jiro looked away, "I-I mean, I don't know."

"Hm, maybe it's because you don't know how to."

The man rolled his eyes at him, "Of course, I know," he said as he started untying his rubber shoes.

Chan hummed, "But you never confessed to anyone yet."

"I-I've watched romance movies. Also, remember when we watched at the theaters that one movie where the boy's a nerd and likes a girl?"

"Except that you aren't a nerd."

Jiro nodded, "Yeah. Then maybe I could confess like him."

Chan crossed his arms at him, "First of all, you slept. Second, you don't know how he confessed."

Well, it was true. Jiro slept because he found the movie boring for his taste while Chan enjoyed it because he thought it was cute, and plus he's with Jiro. As much as the man wanted to act like he's still interested, Jiro can't hide anything that easily. The man just rolled his eyes at him again.

"Then how did he?" Jiro asked after he placed his shoes under his bed.

Chan chuckled at him and sighed, "What would you be without me?"

Empty. Jiro will feel empty without Chan.

"Alright. First, you have to act normal," Chan uttered, "You don't want to scare her, do you?"

"And how am I going to do that?"

"Just y'know, ask her if you guys can meet," the boy said, "Somewhere, maybe, private or somewhere you guys can speak privately."

Chan was trying to stop himself from telling Jiro not to do it, just because he wanted Jiro all by himself. If Jiro will have a girlfriend, then he'll start losing time for Chan. That will be the worse thing and it's hurting him just thinking about it. All the things he's saying is what he wanted it to be if, and only if, Jiro likes him and will be confessing to him.

"Then, try to say some things that you want to say to her," Chan said and looked straight at Jiro, which he was surprise when the man was looking back at him, "Like...how pretty she is, or how fun whenever you guys are together, or how much you love to talk with her..."

"You can even tell her how your heart beats so fast whenever she's around, to the point that you could see your future with her..."

Jiro stared at Chan and thought how the words Chan was saying were all connected to him. It's weird just thinking Jiro feels something for Chan that went out of nowhere...Maybe not from nowhere. He's been kinda in denial from all the years. He genuinely liked Yanna, but not as much as he feels for Chan.

"For sure, she'll know what's going on by now. So, you just got to tell her. Tell her, straight to the point that you like her."

The man was lost in the boy's eyes. Chan was into the atmosphere they were in. It looked like he's the one confessing, and it felt so right. He's been keeping these feelings in and finally, he could say them. But Jiro doesn't know he's confessing.

"I like you."

Chan said. It was plain sincerity and that just made Jiro's heart to skip a beat which was a surprise. They just stayed like that, staring at each other with a comfortable ambiance. But Jiro didn't expect to get too cocky.

Jiro slowly leaned forward to place his lips against Chan's soft ones.

The boy didn't even realized it, just because it felt good. It was a chaste and quick kiss.

Just after they pulled away, they just realized what they did. Their eyes went like saucers and, they immediately became timid and flustered. Chan blushed madly that he had to cover his face with his hands. Jiro blushed a bit as well and covered half of his face.

"I'm sorry about that..."

Chan cleared his throat and held his chest. His heart was beating too fast. It felt like it's going to explode. He just looked away and pouted.

"I-It's fine. Maybe y-you were too into the mood...But don't do that to her," Chan uttered softly, "You might get slapped."

Jiro hummed and nodded, but he was feeling lightheaded. He scratched his nape, "Are...you fine with it?"

The boy was spacing out but he just slapped himself and hummed as a response.

"Fine with what?"

"With what we did."

Chan wasn't thinking about the kiss. His mind went over to something that was beyond that point. He mentally slapped himself before he nodded his head.

"I-I'm fine with it. As long as it doesn't bother you."

Jiro nodded, "Just...think of it as a friendly kiss."

Atleast, he could say Jiro's his first friendly kiss.
