Friends in this part I am writing the dialogues in Malayalam (language of Kerala) itself..The translation is in these type of { brackets }...I am writing like this only in this chapter.. Next part onwards I won't write like that..It will be in English only..Sorry for the inconvenience, my Non- Keralite friends, forgive me this time.. But this is just as a treat for my Keralite readers Please take it as fun.

Omkara woke up early in the morning and went downstairs. He walked straight to the Madhavi's tharavaadu.

She was out in the courtyard, and was watering her plants. She saw Omkara and smiled. He came near her and said.

Om: (smiling wide) Oru surprise news undamme..{Amma..There is a surprising news..}

Ma: (laughs gently) Aano, entha mone..{Is it? Tell me, my son..}

Om: Ammede mol ille, Chinnu..Aval vannitund.. {Your daughter, Chinnu has come back..} (smiles)

Madhavi couldn't believe her ears.She looked at Omkara open mouthed, unable to utter anything. Omkara smiled pleasantly and placed his both hands on her shoulders.

Om: Viswasam aavanille..? Entoppam vaa..{You don't believe me..? Then come with me.}

Omkara put his arm around the poor lady and led her towards his tharavaadu.

Ma: (emotionally)Omkara..Sathyaano nee parayane...Ithrem varshangalk shesham..Enikk viswasikkan pattanillya..Chinnu...!! {Omkara, are you telling the truth..? But..After all these years..I can't believe..Chinnu...!!}

They reached his home and Janaki was in the front room when they entered. Madhavi walked towards Janaki and took her hand.

Ma: (happy tears)Janakiii..Chinnu..?

Ja: (smiling with tears in her eyes) Athe Maadhu..Nammude Chinnu ivide und..Vaa njan kanich tharaam.. {Yes, Maadhu..Our Chinnu is here..Come, I will take you to her room}

Janaki took Madhavi to Gauri's room, which was in the ground floor itself. Madhavi was walking fast to reach her daughter. Finally they reached Gauri's room and Janaki pushed open the door soundlessly. There on the bed lay Gauri. Madhavi just blinked uncertainly. Her daughter had grown up into a very beautiful girl. An affectionate smile appeared on her face and she walked towards her bed eagerly.

Madhavi studied her features carefully and tried to compare it with her face in childhood. She extended her palm and lovingly touched her forehead. Janaki was mutely enjoying the scene with tears in her happy eyes. Madhavi felt like she was having a day dream which was too good to be true.

But just then Omkara cleared his throat from outside the room and the two women turned around. Omkara beckoned them towards him. They walked out of the room and approached him.

Om: Madhavi amme..Enikkoru diwasam venam..{Madhavi amma..You just give me one day..}

Ma: Enthina Mone..? {For what, son..?}

Om: Athoke njan pinne parayaamm..Pakshe avale ee veetil ee oru diwasam nirthanam..{ I will tell you afterwards..But just let us keep her in this house for one day..}

Ma: Pakshe athenthina..?Enikkethrayum vegam avale ividunn kondovanam ente veetilek..{But why..? I want to take her to my home as soon as possible..}

Om: Enikkariyaa amme..Pakshe please..Avalku oru surprise kodukkana.. { I know Amma..But please..I want to give her a surprise..}

Madhavi couldn't understand him. But since she trusted Omkara immensely, she nodded her head in assent.

Ma: Sheri Mone..Pakshe ore oru diwasam..{O.k my son..But just for one day..}

Om: Pakshe oru condition und..{But there is one condition..}

Ma: Athentha..? {What is that..?}

Om: Njan parayunnath vare amma avalude munnilek vararuth..{You should not come in front of her unless I tell you..}

Ma: Enthu...?{What..?} ( then looking at his face) Sheri sheri..{Ok ok..}

It was 9 a.m when Gauri finally woke up. She opened her eyes and looked around the bedroom and remembered the past night events. Suddenly she sat up on her bed and looked at the clock.

Ga: Ente daiwame..{Oh God} !!  Ithrem samayam aayo.. ? {Its this much time already..?}

She woke up and looked for a washroom inside the room. But she couldn't find none. She decided to go out of the room and ask Janaki.

Omkara was passing by her door just then. After having breakfast, he was about to go to his shop.

Ga: Excuse me..

Omkara turned and saw Gauri who was standing at the door.

Om: Entha..? (What..?)

Ga: Enikk onn fresh aavanam, brush cheyyanam..Bathroom evideya..?{I need to freshen up..and also brush my teeth..Where is the bathroom..?}

A funny thought struck him.This was the time to start his game.He began to talk to her in a friendly manner.

Om: (smiling) Athey..Ente peru Omkara..Iyalude Perentha? Nammal innale sherikum parichayapettillalo..{My name is Omkara..What is your name..? We didn't get time to ask our names yesterday..}

Ga: (smiles) Ente peru Gauri..{My name is Gauri..}..Pakshe ente amma enne Chinnu enna vilichirunne..{But amma used to call me Chinnu..}

Om: Sheri..Ivide ellarum kulathil aanu kulikkaaru..Bathroom onnum illa.. {Ok..Here, we all take our bath in a private pond..There is no bathroom..}

Gauri blinked her eyes uncertainly.She gulped anxiously.

Ga: Aano...? Ayyo..! {Is it..? Oh no..!!}

Om: Enthey..? {why...?}

Ga: Enik ariyilla kulathilu kulikkan onnum..{I don't even know how to bathe in a pond}

Om: Oh..Kulikkanengil vere vazhiyonnumillatto..{There is no other way to take bath..}

Hearing this Gauri made up her mind quickly..She raised her brows and smiled..

Ga: Ok..One minute..

She went inside her room and took her towel and garments to change into after bathing. Then she came back to Omkara.

Ga: Sheri...Enna enikk aa kulam onnu kanich tharuo..{Ok...Will you please show me that pond..?}

Omkara nodded and asked her to follow him. They walked out of the house into the back yard and reached near the wall surrounding the private pond. He showed her door way and she looked in from there. A downward flight of stone steps led towards the pond

Omkara looked at her face and was satisfied to see her tensed expression.

Om: Pedikkanda tto..Aa padavil irunn kulichaal mathi..Appo muthala onnum cheyyilla..{Don't worry..You sit on the steps and have your bath..Then the crocodile won't attack you..}

Ga: Muthalayo..?! {You mean crocodile?!}

Om: Athe..Njangal randennathine ithil valarthunnund..{Yes, we have two as pets in there..}

Gauri felt like she was going to faint. She quickly backed out from there and turned to walk back inside the house. Omkara suppressed his laughter with very much difficulty. He chuckled and followed her into the house.

Gauri collided with someone as she walked along the corridor. It was Janaki. She hugged Janaki tightly and placed her head on her chest with relief.

Ga: Aunty..Enikk enganelum onnu kulikkanam..Pakshe kulathilu kulikkan pediyaa...{Aunty..I need to bathe in some way..But I am afraid to take bath in that pond}

Ja: Kulathil kulikkanda ennalu..Bathroom undallo purath..{Then you don't bathe in the pond..There is a bathroom outside}

Gauri was shocked hearing this..She raised her head and looked at Janaki openmouthed.

Ga: What..?!!

And then she turned to look at Omkara fuming with anger. Omkara was sniggering merrily.

Ga: Enne pattichatha lle..?{You fooled me..?}

Omkara laughed out loud and walked past her and he didn't forget to make a casual remark.

Om: Adhikam kashtapedendi vannilla...{well..It was so effortless ..}
