Pieces and pieces it felt like as you got pieced back together back. Link formed right next you, but still in his wolf form. You looked around and didn't see Minda anywhere but you did realize you were back in Lanayru Province again.

"Did that annoying Imp finally go away?"

"Annoying?!" A shadow figure of Minda appeared, making you heart jump from shock. "You better watch what you said or I won't help you with your problem! I could have just left you in the twilight in the first place!"

"Whatever. Tell us what we are doing here."

"I need a sword and shield to protect me in the twilight when we enter back into it. If you want to save the people you know then you have to defeat the twilight covering the area. Once you in there I'll only help so much. So chop to it, Eee hee hee!" She said and disappeared as Link's shadow.

You tug at the chain around his foot to see if it was lose on any ends. It was sealed too tightly around his ankle too undo. You sighed and stood up as Link nuzzled his head into your hand. You smiled and knew he was giving you reassurance.

"Come on! Let's get going already!"

You gritted your teeth at Minda, already annoyed by her and it wasn't day one. "Alright, alright were going."

Link took off as you jogged behind him. He took out some monsters on the way to the village which wasn't good in another way; if monsters were here near the village then that meant trouble already. It was dark in the village as Mayor Bo and Jaggle hunched together saying something in the nearby light.

You crouched down and with Link listen on about what they were saying.

"I got the shield but Rusl has the sword... he needs it in case of those monster... he's also hurt pretty badly from taking them on."

"No Rusl..." You whispered to yourself as you hid behind Link to hope they wouldn't see you. You accidentally stepped onto a crunchy part of the dry grass as they heard and turned around, screamed at Link and ran away.

Minda came out from Link's shadow and growled at you. "Just great. At least we got the information before you messed it up."

"I didn't mean to! Why don't you try to help as well?"

"I will help when the time calls for it!"

"M-MONSTER!" Up above Hanch cried out as Link was in the light and used the hawk grass to call a hawk.

Minda sighed and turned around to face you. "At least he didn't see you. Go back to the springs and wait there. Your no help as it is."

"Why you!" You when to grab her throat but she already dived down into Link's shadow. The hawk cried out as it when for Link, but he was already dogging the hawk as it was.

Maybe it was for the best what Minda said. You weren't really doing anything, so why should you help? Doing as she told you when back up to the province, luckily there weren't monster up in the way. The feeling of the cold water helped wash away your thoughts as today had changed your life.

'Goddess.... hear.... my....'

"Huh?" You said and looked around, finding on one from where the voice called.

'Plead... (y/n)... take... up... what you... have left... behind...'

The voice was getting clearer and clearer each step toward the gentle falling stream of the province. Something about the province always soothed you, more in spirit than in body, always making you wonder why. In the middle of the spring a faint light blue light started shining mystically.

'Take up... what was... yours once... long time ago... Goddess (y/n)... I have... watched over you... just like the... gods said too...'

The ring of goddess just felt right with you name, even sounding powerful and ancient. The light glowed brighter and brighter, then just at the right moment, you were standing on the spot and a symbol appeared.

It was designed like three triangles connecting together as one, and you were standing in the upside down one. The water started to make big rippled in the triangle as you could see time moving. Time and space working as one and the same.

'Now... take up... the Bow of Time... take up... the power you... once lost...'

You reached down into the triangle and grabbed onto something in an arched figure. Pulling it up was effortless as it was a bow. It shined too brightly as it hurt your eyes, but died down soon afterwards. The bow had swirling in tree like pattern, but had no string. As if you done it before, you pulled were the string would be as it formed and along with it came an arrow. It glowed white with the same tree marking as before.

A bark was heard as you saw Link come in. On his back was a sword and shield. His eyes were happy to see you, but once they landed on the bow his eyes became confused.

'You have... been transformed... by the power... of shadows... come closer...'

Link did what the voice said and stepped closer. Pain when through your head as the mysterious portal up above released five surrounding pillars around you both and put up a marking red barrier. Lastly from the portal came out the monster from before.

Link growled at it and leaped at it and started attacking it. The pain disappeared from your head as you drew the bow back, taking a deep breath of air, and let go as it strike the monster behind the back. It cried out and disappeared, leaving black pieces still behind.

The province rocks started lighting up in the same pattern your bow had and out came from the light a figure of a goat formed. It shinned brightly as the water around the spring turned refreshing.

"The black beast you slayed was a shadow being. They lurk in the twilight and now come to Hyrule. Oh hero taken the form of the beast, helped his cursed land take back the holiness it once had. If you don't the land of Hyrule will belong to the king who rules the twilight. You must save the lost light of Hyrule to avoid the land submerging into twilight. The three light spirits must be brought back. You must return to Faron Woods, the place you were transformed, in order to save the first light spirit. I pray the goddess watch over you."

The light spirit vanished as Minda appeared again. "Look like you're not worthless after all. Come on, if you want to save these village people and your friends we have to go into the twilight."

"We know that, and stop calling me worthless. I haven't seen you doing anything at all."

"I helped Link get the sword and shield. I was going to let you use it but it looks like you already have a weapon of your own."

'Yeah right you liar,' "I know, let's just get going."

"I wish Minda would stop telling (y/n) she isn't worthless... I would say something but this wolf form is useless for speaking unless it's with animals."

You jumped at the voice, realizing who it was. "Link? I hear you in my head!"

"What?! Really?!" Link said as his tail wagged cutely behind him.

"You can read each other's mind, that's great and all, but let's go already!" Minda said and hastily returned back as a shadow.

Normally you wouldn't agree but it was already dark and the twilight was spreading faster and faster every second of the way.

"Let's go Link."

Link bark as an agreement and took off with you to the forest of where everything started.
