*Natsu's P.O.V*

I pulled out of the hug and then a crazy idea popped into my head.

"Hey Luce." I looked down into her eyes.

"Yes?" She looked up.

"First of all I know this may be fast, but do you want to run away with me? We can move into a house together." I looked nervously at her. Her face had a bright smile on it.

"Yes, I would love too." She said pulling me into another hug. I chuckled at her, and then I remembered what was tomorrow.

"Hey Luce." She pulled out of the hug to look at me.

"Yes Natsu?" She tilted her head to the side in utter confusion

"what are we going to do? How are we both going to sneak off to Lisanna's party?" After I brought that us Lucy's face drained of color

"I don't know, I guess I can take the beating until tomorrow and pack all of my things up and hide them in the woods until we think of something else. How about you?" I started to think of what I should do but I could only think of one.

"I guess I could handle one more day at my house, then we could meet in the woods after Lisanna's party. But will we still go to fairy tail, or do we completely disappear?" She looked down like she was thinking before slowly rising her head again.

"I think we should keep going to school, because then if we don't they might become suspicious." I let that ponder in my mind for a bit until I answered

"Yea that's a great idea." She smiles back at me with a warm smile, I couldn't help but get little butterflies in my stomach.

"OK we better get the plan into action. What floor is your room on?"I asked,  Lucy answered right away

"second, but I have a way to get up and down-," she paused before she continued again

"can you come with me? I'm scared, then I will come with you to your house." She looks up at me with pleading eyes.

"Yes of course, I will never leave your side." I answered with my brightest smile. I grabbed her hand and pulled her to her feet. We started walking to Lucy's house first, on the way was awkward silence ever since I didn't let go of her hand.

"So, do you want to hang with me at the party?" I asked trying to start a conversation.

"Yea, you are the only one I'm comfortable around. And plus I don't really know the others."

"Yea I guess that, but will you hang out with me just because?" She stopped walking, turned towards me. She took her hand out of mine and cupped both my cheeks,

"of course, just like you will not leave my side I wouldn't leave yours, ever." And with that she leaned in and kissed my cheek. My eyes shot open wide at Lucy's brave action. Her face becomes more cheerful and she starts walking down the path again like nothing happened. I felt something flare inside of my chest I didn't know what it was, because I have never had this feeling before. But it felt warm and comfy, maybe I should keep this a secret. I ran to catch up with her, when I finally caught up I held her hand so we could stay at the same pace. After a few more minutes of laughing and talking about random things, we finally arrived at her house. Instead of risking going through the front door and coming face to face with her father we climbed a tree that had a thick branch, it ended a few inches from her bedroom window. When Lucy unlatched the window from the outside she quickly and quietly crawled inside, then when it came time for me to climb through, I slipped off of the branch. I was dangling almost about to fall, when I felt a soft hand grab my wrist and pull. To my surprise the person behind the hand was strong, very strong. I started to half climb until I was back sitting on the branch.

"Hey thanks for that." I answered panting.

"No problem Natsu, just like before, I will always be by your side." I looked over to see Lucy I perched up on the windowsill.

"How did you get so strong?" She shifted uncomfortably

"I guess you can say I collected a lot of up-er body strength from climbing up and down this tree." And with that she grabbed my are and pulled me into the room. I got through the window quickly and I looked around in astonishment.

"So this is your room? Its beautiful." I looked around and from my features she quickly found out what I was thinking

"I know, my room doesn't fit an abused child. But my dad didn't always use to be like this. It was before my mother died, my father thought it was my fault . he let me keep this room , because my mom is the one who painted the detailed flowers all over it. My dad thinks this will torture me by looking and thinking about the accident." She finished with a single tear running down her left cheek. I walked up to her slowly, I ran my thumb softly a crossed her cheek whipping away the tear. I then pull her into a hug. And unlike before, she hugs me back right away.

"Are you almost done packing?" I asked looking down into her eyes while still in the hug. "

Yes I think so, I have everything I need in those two bags." She finished then pointing over to the large two bags.

"Ok , then let's get a move on." I said taking both bags before she could. I was expecting it to be heavy , but they were fairly light. I managed to climb down the tree with both hands full. Lucy soon followed with a great jump down from the tree's last branch. We continued the walk to my house, and I was lucky enough to have a 'room' on the first floor. I creaked open the window climbing in. I had told Lucy to stay out side for many reasons. 1) I didn't want her to see my pathetic excuse for a bedroom 2) if my dad is awake and finds us, Lucy can run away. Because my dad seems to have more anger with me than Lucy's dad with her. And 3) I didn't have much stuff to pack so it wouldn't be worth it . when I was done I carried a big backpack with a blanket rolled up on the top.

"that was fast." Lucy said now carrying both of her bags.

"Yea, we can't make it look like we will never come back other wise they would fine out and have police come and bring us back." She looked stunned as to how I know this.

"Have you don't it before?" She asked trying to pry a little bit.

"Yes, let's say I got the beating of a life time , literally." I chuckled trying to lighten up the mood. With out anymore talking we continued to the woods where Lucy told me her family cabin is.

"are you sure we will be safe here?" I asked her

"yes , we stopped using this cabin since my mom died. But my father refuses to get rid of it, because my mother loved this place." She smiled sadly at the memory of her mother.
