Shivaay kept staring at an asleep her who was lying facing him . His mind was filled with thoughts to keep him awake but still he was trying to divert himself by watching her alone and nothing else .

A- can't sleep ?

He blinked hard when she spoke suddenly, her eyes were still closed though .

S- I thought you were sleeping .

A- how can I when you keep staring at me like this ?

She chuckled bringing this reply and he shook his head .

S- ohh I'm really sorry , I didn't

Before he could complete she already put he palm on his mouth to stop him. Her eyelids separated to  have him in her sight this time.

A- shh , don't be so naive man .

He smiled using the chance to kiss her palm ,she slowly tried to take her hand back but shivaay pulled it near to settle his cheek on it .

Shivaay could very well make it out that her mind was occupied, she was looking at him but her thoughts stayed somewhere else .

S- don't tell me you're thinking about your sister .

There was an automatic smile on her face as soon as he warned her strictly . A huge sigh escaped her lips and she turned to face the tank affixed to the ceiling.

A- shivaay you were right today , I am stupid.

S- annika , I

A- I see people everyday shivaay

He stopped when she interrupted as he knew there was more .

A- depressed , disturbed, hurt , mentally unstable, abandoned , and some of them hardly have anyone to care for them . To atleast look out for them . But here I'm surrounded with people who truly love me , I can't take it for granted. I've seen how small drifts can bring down a relationship. So it's always nice to forgive . I try atmost not to hurt anyone and I'll keep doing that because people around me are really precious . I know I'm being very stupid here shivaay ,but I feel it has become an habit now , since childhood I fight I patch up that's it , can't change .

She turned to see him after finishing her words. He watched her without making a blink and she maintained her part of the sight to share an eye lock. After a certain time she felt that irritation in her eyes and kept shrinking them to soon have them closed .

On not hearing any response from him she tossed to turn the other side just to be grabbed by him soon . His arm ran around her waist for he pulled her to himself in no time and quickly put his head on her chest to keep her tightly hugged . Annika couldn't stop that  emerging smile on her face when she felt his desperate grip on her , he behaved like a child and she was all ready to welcome this kid . Wounding her arm around him she pressed her lips on his hair lightly .

Shivaay knew very well  he can never make her understand that she is still more precious than anyone she actually refers to is . So he would never stop armouring her , that part is solely his to play and he can't let go of that right . He moved slowly and comforted his face on her chest to seek calmness in her embrace .

The next day

There was a bright smile on Adi's face when he saw shivaay entering in with an asleep aryan in his arms .

Ad- hey hi shivaay !

S- sorry man I left without meeting you yesterday.

Ad- nah that's fine , I know you were stuck between the two sisters , dangeours place. Good that you escaped soon .

Shivaay nodded approving his point , just then aryan moved slightly and shivaay  ran his palm over the baby's small back to comfort him.

S- aru don't start crying now haan , so jao ohh ohh ...ok ok

Ad- yes aryan don't, poor shivaay can't feed you even.

Shivaay rose his brows and glared when Adi commented .

S - you should have been annika's twin brother .

Ad- no way ! That'll make me Charu's brother  too , whoa I feel like puking already.

Again aryan started crying , shivaay kept juggling him in his arms.

S- it's ok buddy come here , look at this wow we have so many flowers here ! Aru aaru look here baby ...see what Adi uncle has got here

Ad - uncle...!

Screamed an offended Adi . Shivaay didn't mind him though , he was busy showing aaru around the hall .

Ad - maybe I can try , come here aryan you remember me right ? We met at the hospital , haina , haina baby ?

Aryan just wouldn't let go of shivaay when Adi extended his arms for him . Shivaay noticed the scene silently and smiled to himself .

S- you're sure he was fine with you that day ?

Ad - ofcourse, I even bought a ball and he played with me .

S- then I guess he prioritizes , I'm here today so he chose me .

Ad - that's rude Mr.Aryan .

The child cried more on watching Adi's angry face , shivaay glared at him hard .

Ad - sorry sorry , hey aaru watch me haan

Charu who just came downstairs stopped at a distance when she saw Adi playing with the child. He was trying to show all his funny faces but it did no help though, aryan was still crying. Charu grinned watching this scene from afar .

S- you're not at all helping

Ad - wait I can still try ,

Shivaay rolled his eyes and shook his head leaving a huge sigh while Adi put up some cute yet weird faces .

Soon her lips deviated back from contributing to that smile when charu remembered something. Even the other day she very well noticed how happy and cheerful he was around aryan . What if she can never bring this kind of joy for him in their together life ? That would be a whole big of an injustice she does to the man she loves . Charu felt much guilty , her sight remained fixed on him alone .

M- annika , where's charu ? Her mobile has been ringing since long , 8th time it is . Find her and get this to her .

A- ji maa .

Annika got the phone from her and searched for charu in the room but found it empty . She then randomly wandered her eyes throughout the hall to soon spot her at the corner.

A- behna statue hogayi

Muttering this to herself she walked downstairs and straight towards charu , but as soon she saw her wiping her tears she halted right behind . Charu  pressed the tissue under her eyes to vanish any sign of tears on her face.

Annika somehow read her emotions when she followed her sight which led to Aryan and Adi . She knew what charu has been thinking .

A- what !! You're stuck in traffic , oh God how can you be so irresponsible you should've started earlier right ?

Charu was immediately distracted when annika shouted behind her back .

C- what is it ?

A- I don't need your excuses , make it on time or I don't know what I'll do .

She enacted to warn someone over the phone and immediately hung up. Charu looked confused.

C- kya huwa ?

A- our makeup artist is stuck in traffic it seems .

C- matlab ?

A- atleast 1 hr tak

Charu interrupted her soon .

C - what! Annika it's already time and still 1 hour matlab ...god .

A- what about celebrating mehndi at midnight ? Concept new hoga na !

Charu smacked her head immediately and spoke in worry .

C- waiting is what we could do now .

A- I've got an idea !

C- hmm ?

A- this function is mainly for you and Adi right ?

C- haa tho ?

A- I'll help you in getting ready haan ? I'll bring out the best look in you , Adi would go speechless and faint just by looking at you .

C - really , you can do that ?

She asked dubiously for annika passed a quick energetic nod .

A- don't you remember? I was the one who created your look on our school annual meet . And Adi couldn't get enough of you that day , he kept praising me for doing such a wonderful job.

Annika boasted raising her imaginary collar, charu narrowed her eyes straightly .

C- that granny look , kunti ?

A- haa haan !

C- he would go bewitched even if appear with nil makeup, so it's ok haan . I'll take care of myself , tum jao pehle .

A- hmm god knows what only he saw in you that day , bandha total flat hogaya. I could tell that from the way he looked at you .

Annika pretended to her words and let a deep sigh , there was a light smile on Charu's face soon .

C - vo tho hona hi tha na , pyaar jo kartha hai mujse , like tons and tons .

Annika acted to not care as soon as charu expressed these words showing her wide grin . This is what she wanted her to remember , because at last this is what which matters.

Their love.

Mission - distract charu : accomplished .

R - no annika I'll go get her .

A- papa ,I'll go to the station . Driver haina, I'll be fine .

R- don't be stubborn beta .

A- I think you should be here , this place is surrounded by our guests. I'll go and get Dadi , ok ?

Raghav shook his head in defeat and watched shivaay with the same face.

S- I'll come with you then .

A- nahi, gauri hasn't  arrived here yet , you be with aaru . I'll be back soon haan .

This was the chance she made use for today to escape being around here . Seeking excuses seemed very difficult but finally she did have something to use .

That night

A- here it is !!

She exclaimed pointing Adi's name on charu' hand while charu hit the stop watch off at once.

C- exactly 56 seconds .

A- and that monkey took 18 minutes to find this , really?

C - hmm.

A- I , with an eye infection- point to be noted , completed the task in less than 1 minute while that idiot took nearly 20 minutes . He's got some serious problem in his sight.

C - don't even go there , I was so fed up that I myself wanted to just reveal it badly . He was passing all weird signals to the mehndi artist to help him , even she got scared by the looks he gave .

Charu narrated the scene and started laughing , annika had a faint smile captured on her lips .

A- wish I had been there .

She instantly bit her tongue when these words escaped her lips without her own knowledge.

C - very well yes , what took you so long that you missed the major thing of the day itself haan ?

A- vahi yaar she told me the wrong platform number and had me roaming everywhere around the station . At one point the police patrol there checked my belongings and started questioning me you know , they must have thought this wandering wonder girl is definitely a terrorist.

C - still , I was expecting you throughout .

Annika didn't know what to say , just then there was a knock on the door, it was shivaay.

The scene infornt for him was , surprising shocking and what not . Annika was lying on Charu's lap , and they both were having their own chit chat without even noticing the arrival of this man here . He looked at their faces keenly to make sure it was them only. But ofcourse he knew , this is the flow of their relationship . They always let go and move .

She saw him standing by the door and got up to sit .

A- shivaay.

He was brought back from his web of thoughts when she called his name .

S- haa annika , it's time . Gauri and mom has already left ,chalein ham?

Annika saw him maintaining his eyesight just with her alone , she even noticed how charu had already invested her focus on the mobile as soon as she found shivaay in there .

A- ek....minute , why are you both acting like those mean characters of a daily soap ? Charu , shivaay teri sasu maa hai , why are you avoiding him.!

S- come on annika , example dena hai tho do it properly. Why is everyone so obsessed in changing my gender ?

Came Shivaay's immediate annoyed reply , he has a past with this gender thing actually. Then it was Adi and now , his own wife . God has really put all the mad people on this earth around him , he let out a defeated sigh .

A- whatever , answer my question first . Is it about yesterday , still?

C - not me but your husband. Throughout the function he was with Adi as if he's not mine rather Adi's best friend .

A- did you do that ?

S - she could've talked to me

He shrugged his shoulders casually while charu scowled hard at him.

C - deka ? He's still not over  it yet .

S- nahi tumne jo

A- ok ok stop stop . Let's forget everything ok , forget .

Charu let a slow nod as she kept staring at him . Shivaay on the other side muttered a silent ok in response. But they still behaved so indifferent with each other , annika exhaled through her mouth and rolled her eyes watching them one by one.

She immediately stood up and dragged him to the bed .

S- kya hai ?

A- let's see what my prince can do.

She pulled Charu's hand and placed it on Shivaay's.

A- find Adi's name

C - cheating , he was there so he would have seen right !

Shivaay looked offended .

S - koi cheating beating nahi hai , aaru started crying at that time so I took him outside . I was not there .

C - really ?

S- promise !

He clapped his palm over her's to prove his point .

Annika pressed her lips together to hide her smile , these two were acting like real kids this time. This was cringy but she managed not to show any reaction on her face .

A - go for it then , 1 , 2 , 3!

She pressed the stop clock on and shivaay wandered his eyes onto every nook and corner of Charu's hands eagerly .

S- why is this so difficult...!

A- don't you loose to that monkey , come on !!

S- this one ?

C - does it anywhere resemble A D I for you ?

She enquired strictly, he didn't let her rage affect him and concentrated more .

S- what do I do , everything looks like A and D for me .

A- that's a part of the design my poor price , focus now !

S- ok ok ...

The timer had crossed 17 minutes already , annika got all tired after cheering him for this long time. She laid on his back and closed her eyes .

A- seems like you would have never found  your own name if we'd had our mehndi . Thank god we didn't get the chance , I'd have slept throughout while you would have  scanned my hand day and night .

She stretched her words and spoke lazily .

S- Adi !!!

He screamed suddenly pointing a particular area on Charu's palm. Annika immediately took the clock , she smiled cheerfully after witnessing the numbers.

C - how much ?

A- 17 . 32 seconds !! Atleast he's ahead of our monkey .

Charu's reactions changed when she announced this . And immediately the next member opened the door to make this club even.

Ad - did someone call me ?

A - welcome jiju ...! Yeah  my sister , she was asking for you actually.

As soon as she said this , Adi turned towards charu to show his bright smile but she kept glaring at him though.

Ad - really ? But what happened to your voice charu , I was actually scared ki koi ghost aagaya. The scream was so creepy .

Suddenly a pillow came flying to hit his head from behind  . He was startled for a second and turned behind to see Shivaay's weird reactions .

S- oops sorry , I was aiming the corner actually.

He pretended .

A- teek hai Adi , charu wanted to speak with you  . Ham chalthey hain , come shivaay .

Catching hold of his elbow , annika marched out along with shivaay . Here Adi, with some really high expectations sat down and slowly held Charu's hand , she immediately jolted off though .

Ad - what now !

He whined like a child and she glared .

C - even shivaay found the name in 17 minutes , par tum ...

Ad - phir se vahi baath , ahhh annika...!

Adi cried out aloud. He already had to get a earful from charu during the function and it took him almost an hour to convince her . After putting so much effort to hold the lava,  he couldn't believe that annika had once again cracked open the top of this volcanic mountain for him.

Shivaay stared at her quizzically as she still didn't get into the car when he held the door  open for her.

S  - annika

A- hmm , yes....uhh tum jao , I...I'll go with papa .

He was perplexed first,  closing the door hard , he shot his question .

S- means ?

A - kal ,kal haldi haina

S - tho... you can still go there tomorrow morning right?

A - haa par  ...

She dragged the word and kept looking everywhere else. Haldi is solely to happen in their home ,with closely related crowd alone , none from Adi's side will be there . Annika wanted to be greedy this time and enjoy the function with her family atleast now .  Shivaay quietly stood there and scanned her reactions for sometime , he then opened the door and collected her bag from inside.

S-  don't forget to take your drops , already subah lena bool gayi thi tum.

He handed over the bag to her saying this and she grinned showing all her teeth .

A- you're not upset or angry right ?

As soon as he shook his head ,annika hugged him sideways and expressed her joy .

S - bye ani

A- hmm bye !

He sat in and started the engine ,  suddenly annika remembered something and peeped inside through the window.

A- shivaay , oreo's injection...sss I totally forgot it . Arjun had asked to bring him today ...do this haan , before coming there tomorrow oreo ko hospital leke jana.

There was hardly any response from shivaay , he was just staring at nothing in particular. Annika had to insert her arms in and shake him.

A- shivaay.

S- yep ok .

A- don't forget .

S- I won't  , call me once you reach home .

A- haa , bye .

Next morning

Shivaay rubbed his palm over oreo's body slowly  when he trembled after being injected .

Ar - I wasn't expecting you to be honest  , thought annika would come .

Shivaay gritted his teeth and showed his enraged eyes to him straightly.

S - look arjun , I don't like beating around the bush.  So hear me out , I know who you are , and maybe you had something for annika in the past . But now she's my wife , so just stop .

Arjun was engrossed in some deep thoughts when shivaay made his statement clear .

Ar - sss...yeah you saw the picture , yeah now I get it . By the way  , my wife and all that ...look shivaay you just got lucky with time. If I were here then

S- shut up ok just shut up ! I don't want to hear your nonsense .

Shivaay screamed to warn him .

Ar - ok atleast hear this then , a small clarification it is . Not had rather I still have something for annika . I lo

He couldn't complete it as shivaay had just landed his tightly clenched fist directly on arjun's mouth  and punched him hard . His red eyes screamed  rage . Arjun coughed and spat out some  blood which came oozing out from his lips . But he didn't seem to accept defeat , he was found smiling which irked shivaay even more .

Ar - you can never take her away from me shivaay.

Again he had to face Shivaay's wrath , this time,  it was unstoppable . He beat him hard mercilessly. Pushing him to the wall , shivaay punched his nose again . At one point arjun started resisting him too. Oreo barked continuously when he witnessed everything.

The noise was so loud that people outside the cabin heard it and rushed in to see both the men hurting each other like anything.  The guards caught hold of shivaay while the others sided with arjun .

Ar - annika's mine shivaay,  you can do nothing about it.

Shivaay roared and jumped to hold him again but the men behind didn't let that happen . He then kicked the stool which was upto his reach,   that thing directly went and hit Adi's abdomen . He bent down holding his stomach while shivaay wriggled off from their hold and showed them his deeply raged eyes . Even they themselves were certainly startled on seeing those burning eyes .

He then picked oreo in his arms , and walked close to arjun who was struggling in pain. Shivaay bent to his level and grabbed his collar in one hand to bring him eye to eye .

S - I'm warning you again , stop ,or next  time the pain will only  get  worse . But the good thing is you won't be alive to feel it .
