On Tuesday, Midtown High School of Science and Technology announced a science fair. And, believe me when I say, it is a huge deal in Midtown, it's the biggest event of the year. So, when Peter, Ned and MJ heard about it in assembly on Tuesday morning, they looked at each other eagerly (maybe except MJ, she probably just smiled).

This weeks lessons were cancelled, and students were supposed to work on their projects. The three entered an empty science classroom, ready to begin planning.

"So? Any ideas?" Peter asked, sitting on a desk and fiddling with a pen.

"We'll stick with robots, and plus, Tony could help, right?" Ned said, his eyes full of hope as he looked towards Peter.

"Yep. But the thing is, everyone's gonna do a robot or something like that, but they'll probably do it for everyday stuff, like cleaning, like the winning robot from last year with all the special smoothie-making features. What about we do one for-"

"Battle." MJ finished Peter off, jumping off her desk and coming up to the whiteboard. Peter looked startled.

"How'd you know I was going to say that?" Peter asked, looking after her.

"Looked at your notes you were doing this past week on possible robot ideas, each named for battle." MJ exclaimed, grabbing a marker and writing the title "Battle robot."

"Yeah, totally normal, MJ." Peter said, the three bursting into laughter.

"OK, let's get to work then. What if we..." Ned said and for the next four hours they kept sharing ideas, thinking about every little detail, and having no idea that the school bell rang an hour ago. It was MJ that realized the time.

"Hey, guys, it's 4:00 P.M. We are here four hours, we better go home." she said.

"What? Shit. Happy's waiting." Peter exclaimed. Indeed, Happy called eight times, left four voicemails and wrote three messages.

"We should meet up on the weekend to actually build this bot. It's due in three weeks." Ned reminded them.

He sprinted through the front door and arrived by Happy's car, seeing him with a not-to-pleased face.

"So sorry, Happy. We got caught up working on our new robot for the science fair." Peter apologized.

"Yeah, get in." Happy just said, visibly annoyed. The car ride was spent with Peter talking about school and the science fair coming up. They arrived twenty minutes later, Peter dashing inside. He rushed to Tony's lab first, practically sprinting in, seeing that Tony was currently in the process of programming something with his back turned from the door.

"Hello, spider-kid, what took you so long?" Tony said, turning to face Peter, who looked all too happy.

"There's a science fair coming up in three weeks and we are building a robot, and we decided to build one for battle, cause everyone's gonna stick with the cleaning ones like last year and so, yeah, we kind of didn't realize the time, and, sorry. So-um- MJ and Ned are coming over this weekend." Peter exclaimed, words coming out of him like lightning-speed.

"Yeah, slow down, Spider-boy. So, there's a science fair coming up in three weeks. Cool. When's that gonna be, FRIDAY?" Tony asked.

"December, 15th, sir." FRIDAY replied.

"Clean my entire schedule for that day, Fri." Tony said.

"Already done, sir." Tony turned to face Peter, a large grin on the boy's face.

"You're helping us too, right?" Peter asked. Tony scoffed.

"You've got to be kidding me, kiddo. My son's science fair?! Robots?! Oh, God, it's Christmas!" Tony exclaimed. He stood up and clapped his hands together, "so, what do we have?" he asked, and Peter at once grabbed his bag and took out the loose papers, all filled with doodles of robots, scribbles and possible elements.

"Looks good. FRIDAY, place these notes on screen." he said, and a moment later five holographic screens went up, surrounding Tony and Peter. They got to work immediately, completely not realizing that the team where upstairs waiting for them and that the day was slowly turning into night. It was only when Pepper came down and demanded Tony to open the door that the boys looked up from their work, suddenly realizing that FRIDAY had to put on the lights as the workshop had been too dark.

"Anthony Edward Stark, there are people awaiting you upstairs, so either you come upstairs on your own two legs or I will drag the both of you myself!" Pepper exclaimed.

"Just a second, Pepper!" Peter called, checking through the last equation with Tony. When they finished they went upstairs after Pepper. They were famished, tired and wanting nothing else but to go to sleep. Just the mere thought of spending time with the team made their eyes close.

"Had to come down there, those two sciencing away." Pepper commented, when Tony and Peter sat down on the couch to some unamused stares from the team.

"Movie night?" Clint asked, and the team agreed, except Tony and Peter who were eating some Thai leftovers, probably not registering what they were currently swallowing, their minds still buzzing with ideas and eyelids closing. Halfway through the film, Peter suddenly jumped up, startling the team. His eyes ablaze, he looked towards Tony's sleepy form.

"Holy shit, Stark-boy!" Clint said, "calm it down!"

"What if we added a laser jet at the front of it, coming out from something shaped like an arc-reactor. It's gonna be mini- Iron Man!" Peter exclaimed. That awoke Tony.

"WAAAIT! And we can add some laser beams coming out from the back!" Tony added, and before anyone could say "No", father and son were off, sprinting down to the labs.

"Not again." Pepper muttered, her head shaking, sighing in defeat.

The two were in the labs until two in the morning. This time, Tony, the reasonable parent, looked at the clock.

"Pete, it's 2:05, sleep time." Tony said, noticing Peter's red eyes with dark circles under them. Before the boy could complain, Tony already asked FRIDAY to switch off the screens and projectors.

"Tony, come on, I'm just finishing." Peter moaned.

"Nu-huh, come on, Spiderling, you've got school tomorrow, and leave Ned and your girlfriend something to work on." Tony said. Peter lazily stood up, suddenly feeling the tiredness in his bones. The two sleepily entered the lift, Peter practically falling asleep on Tony, only woken up by a sharp poke from the man. Hissing in pain from the loudness of FRIDAY's voice when the AI alerted them off the room floor, the two walked out.

With the lasts of his energy  Peter looked at Tony before going his way.

"Thanks, dad." he said and before he realized what he had said he was walking towards his room, leaving Tony standing in the middle of the corridor, Peter's words still being processed by his tired brain. Peter had called him dad. Dad. Tony's heart melted, he never felt better in his life.

And as he stumbled back to his bedroom, nearly tripping over the threshold and smashing his knee on his bed, Peter's words were being repeated over in his head like a broken machine. And like the words of his favorite song, he couldn't keep them out of his head, and if he could, why would he? Because Peter had called him dad.

(A/N): Hello! So, um, DID YOU SEE THAT NEW INFINITY WAR TRAILER, I MEAN, HOLY SHIT, IT'S AMAZING! Peter Quill, Tony Stark, Drax and Peter Parker, I mean, this is going to be fucking awesome! And that end scene with Peter and Stephen, I mean, the dialogue!

I hope you understand my sudden need for an outburst, but anyways, I hope you like this shorter chapter, but I hope it was worth it with the "Dad" at the end, so yeah, please comment any of your ideas, I love hearing from you! Thanks for reading!
