They were interrupted by a cacophony of yells and pines from the courtyard, she  pushed the chair back with a squeal and raced out Jon not far behind her. When she reached the wooden steps she stopped, breath heaving deep from her chest. One of Jons men had challenged Samson, she  walked to Elric who was already bleeding. "What happened?" she asked.

"The human kept hurling insults at us, he doesn't believe we should be here..." he was suddenly interrupted by another man.

"They're just rabid dogs!" Luna sighed and rested a clawed paw on her head, Ghost looked between her and the man attacking Samson he had buried his dagger deep into the war wolfs side, his strength lost and his knees barely supported him.

"That's enough!" she growled and pinned her ears walking toward him and twisted the attackers head around breaking his neck. "Now," she said and clicked her neck side to side. "Does anyone else wish to insult and attack my pack?" Ghost growled and pinned his ears too. She stood in front of Samson, her eyes shot around the group of men. Jon loomed behind her.

"We will not tolerate this kind of behaviour!" he exclaimed and stood next to Luna, "the next man to attack anymore of the Lupine will be executed by me!" After the courtyard cleared she and Jon helped them Elric and Samson to the sick wing.  Both war wolves pined and whined as the healers tended their wounds. Luna leant on the threshold of the door, she ran a clawed paw through her mane, knots snaring themselves in between her fingers.

"We had kept peace with your men for so long, and now they do this!" she growled, keeping an eye on Samsons shallow breathing. "If he dies, it's on you."  Jon nodded.

"I know. But lets hope with the threat of execution they won't touch your war wolves again,"  he said.

"I hope not," she said, she sat in between the two war wolves. Her ears twitched, she leant over and rested her head in her paws.

"Are you still not sleeping?" he asked. She shook  her head.

"I can't," she said.

"Do you need me to get those leaves for you?" he asked. She shook her head. "You need to rest before we travel to retrieve my sisters from Kings Landing." He stood behind her and rested his gloved hands on her shoulders. She huffed a half smile.

"That's harder said than done," she replied.

"That's what you always say," Elric said as he turned his head to look at her.

"I have offered to knock you out," Samson chuckled and coughed blood up.

"Serves you right," she said and leant her head back on the chair to gaze up at Jon.

"I wouldn't want to wish that on him," he said staring down at her too. She lifted her head and stood.

"You two look stable now," she walked toward the door and rested her paw on it, she turned her head like an owl. "When you're both ready I'll be in my chambers."

"Would you like an escort?" Jon asked, she shook her head her.

"No, I'm sure no one will dare attack me," she said and walked away in silence all that could be heard was the tapping of her claws on the stone floor.
