Maki Nishikino's POV

I accompanied Nico-chan downstairs because she wanted to say something to my father. I said that it was a bad idea to talk to my father after what happened earlier.

We went to my father's room or rather office. I'm kinda hesitant to knock but Nico-chan held my hand. I knocked twice and waited for an answer.

"Who is it?"

"Papa, it's Maki. But I'm with a friend. Is it alright to come in?"

There was no response. "Come on, Nico-chan. Let's just go." I tried tugging Nico-chan's shirt but she won't let me. Her feet stayed rooted on the ground.

I tugged harder and this time, Nico-chan budged. "He's not gonna let us in." I whispered. We were about to leave when the door flung open.

"What do you need?" My father eyed the both of us. I was about to say something but my father let us in.

Nico-chan and I sat down on the dark blue couch opposite my father's desk.

Silence. Complete silence. I hate this kind of scene. When no one is talking.

"So what do you want?"

I heard my father say that. I glanced at Nico-chan and in response, she nodded at me.

"Nishikino-san, my name is Ya-"

Papa didn't let Nico-chan finish because he said, "Yazawa Nico, am I right?"

"Yes."

"I see. I was right. Maki here told me a lot about you."

I suddenly stood up and exclaimed, "Papa!"

Papa turned to me and raised his eyebrow like I do.

"What? It's true, isn't it?" My father then focused his gaze on Nico-chan.

"Maki also told me that she admires you a lot. Whenever you perform with her on stage."

I can't take it anymore! Why do Papa need to tell all of this to Nico-chan?

"Papa!! Why do you have to say all this to Nico-chan?!" I shouted. I think people outside heard it. But I don't care.

"Maki, keep your voice down. Neighbors might hear you." Papa said in a very calm voice. I gritted my teeth in annoyance.

"So what?! Let them hear me if they want to! It's all your fault that I'm shouting at you!" I shouted, this time tears streaming down my face.

"Maki-chan.." I felt Nico-chan's warm hug behind me. I calmed down a bit when she hugged me. Nico-chan tugged at my shirt to get me to sit again.

I kept my head down and waited for someone to speak.

"Nishikino-san, please let me date your daughter!"

I felt blush creeping onto my face because of what I heard. Stupid Nico-chan!

"What are you talking about? A girl dating another girl? That's nonsense." Was my father's only reply.

"But, Nishikino-san, I love her! I really do! At least let me date her until I graduate!"

So, this is the something that Nico-chan wanted to say to my father? You should have told me before you said it to my father, Nico-chan.

"Until you graduate? Fine then. I give you permission to date Maki but only until you graduate. Do you understand, Nico Yazawa?"

What the?

"Yes, I understand, Nishikino-san."

Nico-chan grinned at me. It was weird that I smiled too. I guess Nico-chan's smile is infectious. Woah, what? Haha.

We were about to go out of my father's office when Papa called my name.

"Maki."

"Yes, Papa?"

"I'm sorry for what I've done earlier. What can I do to somehow repay you?"

Repay me? Hmm.. Ah! I know.

"Probably replace the one you destroyed with a new one. I'll be satisfied with that."

"If that's what you want, I'll do it."

"Yeah sure. Nico-chan and I will be going now."

The moment we step outside, both of us recieved a text message from Eli.

"Nico-chan, let's go, shall we?"

"Yeah!"
