(The scene opens at Raiden's temple. Sub-Zero is taking the ninja's way in; climbing all the way up the mountain. He reaches the top and cautiously steps across the courtyard. Cetrion soon appears in front of him in a flash of light.)

Cetrion: Seeking Raiden's assistance, Sub-Zero?

Sub-Zero: Who are you?

Cetrion: My name is Cetrion. Don't get the wrong idea, Bi-Han. But you're making a mistake trying to help Izuku.

Sub-Zero: Why say that?

Cetrion: The merging of two worlds are one of the consequences of his acts. He put the balance of the nine kingdoms in risk.

Sub-Zero: And you think setting an example would make people see him as a threat?

Cetrion: No. But if either his death or yours is necessary for Kronika's will, so be it!

(They fight. Although taken aback, Sub-Zero holds his own with his freezing powers and knocks the Goddess of Light down. Raiden comes in.)

Raiden: That's enough, Bi-Han.

(Sub-Zero bows before Raiden)

Sub-Zero: My apologies, Lord Raiden. But I need your help to locate the League of Villains.

Raiden: What's your interest in locating them?

Sub-Zero: The same interest we have in common, to save the Earthrealm.

(Raiden considers this and looks out to the view past his tower, toward a rock formation out of place with the dark mountains surrounding it.)

Raiden: That rock formation in the distance...it was not here before the invaders came. But through it I have gained insight.

(Raiden takes a hold of Sub-Zero and teleports them both to the rock formation. It is in fact the Rock of Eternity. Raiden places his hand on the Rock, which glows the same blue hue of his lightning bolts.)

Raiden: Earthrealm is merging with another world. Powers are shifting, rebalancing. I have felt the effects in Shinnok's defeat and they have grown ever stronger.

Sub-Zero: Ozai foresaw the intrusion from the other world, and that their champion would pose a dire threat.

Raiden: And you're here to eliminate this champion.

Sub-Zero: Yes. Much like this rock formation, the warrior's fortress appeared near the Lin-Kuei temple. I wore him down and sealed him in ice.

Raiden: You did not wear him down. His power was siphoned away, redistributed to others.

Sub-Zero: I must find the League of Villains to demand he reveal all that he knows.

Raiden: Find Overhaul or Tomura, and you'll find them.

(Sub-Zero nods in response and leaves.)

(Gotham City. Sub-Zero kneels down in a road - the same place where Supergirl fought Roman and Liu Kang earlier - and feels the concrete before him.)

Sub-Zero: They were here...

(Then a silver haired boy approaches Sub-Zero from behind)

Mercury: Well, isn't this interesting - a masked man in Gotham.

Sub-Zero: I can sense evil within you.

Mercury: My name is Mercury Black.

Sub-Zero: Sub-Zero.

Mercury: Fair enough, but I've been around this world and I've never heard of a "Sub-Zero".

Sub-Zero: I'm not from your world.

Mercury: Then you're in enemy territory.

Sub-Zero: And I assume you are the enemy?

Mercury: Smart boy.

(They fight. Although the battle is intense, Sub-Zero's freezing powers give him the edge over Mercury Black, and soon the villian is KO'ed for the count. With the distraction out of the way, Sub-Zero returns to examining the roads around him.)

Sub-Zero: Their trail is still weak, but I can still track it. This way.

(Sub-Zero walks off and eventually finds himself in Beacon Academy)

Sub-Zero: This is where they first entered the mortal realm. What were they doing here? what is this place?

(Then the headmistress comes in and answers his question)

Glynda: This is Beacon Academy!

(Without furthur ado, Glynda lifts some objects and throws them at Sub-Zero, who evades and freezes her. Sub-Zero decides that's enough to subdue her and begins to walk off, but Glynda breaks free and lifts him up with her telekinesis before throwing him against the wall. He falls down and rolls back into a fighting stance. The rage soon becomes clear in Glynda's eyes.)

Glynda: Your world is invading mine, affecting everything and everyone in it. This action will not be taken lightly!

Sub-Zero: Then I will do it the hard way!

(They fight. After another intense battle, Sub-Zero just about manages to beat the Headmistress of Beacon at her own game, and leaves her on the ground unconscious. A portal then opens up behind Sub-Zero. He turns to face it and receives June's whip in his neck.)

June: Gotcha!

(Sub-Zero is dragged into the portal. He emerges in the League of Villains' hideout on his knees.)

All for One: Welcome, Sub-Zero...to the League of Villains' hideout.

(Sub-Zero looks up and jumps to his feet. Quan Chi is standing before him)

Sub-Zero: Quan Chi! There were rumours that the Elder Gods had punished Overhaul and Dabi. I see the rumours were true.

All for One: I don't need them anymore. Meet my new enforcer...

(June walks into view and in front of All for One.)

Sub-Zero: So you stopped being a mercenary and became a real villain.

June: Things became personal lately.

Sub-Zero: So you captured me for personal reasons, didn't you?

June: Smart boy!

(They fight. The battle became truly epic. Neither the Ice Ninja nor the Mercenary had advantage. Meanwhile Dabi and Overhaul confront All for One.)

Dabi: You can't dispose of us like trash!

All for One: You became useless when you got caught and arrested.

(As Sub-Zero defeats June, Ozai breaks All for One's back.)

Ozai: You're no longer in position to command the League!

Sub-Zero: Ozai?

Ozai: Tell Raiden and the Avatar that if they want to save the Earthrealm, they will have to make a deal with devils.

(June approaches Ozai as the League of Villains, now under his command, walk away. Then Scorpion comes in)

Scorpion: I told your brother and Sokka about the crisis.

Sub-Zero: I wonder what should we do now...

Scorpion: I'll find Kitana.

Sub-Zero: Good luck.

(It looks like Sub-Zero's plan has failed. Fortunately, Scorpion has a backup plan. What will happen next?)
