One flamboyant son of a bitch

Another_chapter gave me this chaotic idea so I had to write it

Dick had turned away from justice a little over three months ago and was fully embracing his new identity. He kept with the same name, Nightwing, only changed his suit to be increasingly skin tight. The arms were cut off and they were sure his boots were more like platformers than combat style. He'd done away with the domino mask that hid his identity since he "just couldn't stand hiding the beauties any longer."All in all, he just dressed a lot sexier. Admittedly, he hadn't been all that evil when they compared him to other villains. He made sure to pay all his henchmen well and helped their families. He'd robbed a fair amount of banks and the like but no one was ever killed in the scuffle. In fact, he had a pretty good report with the poorer parts of Gotham. He'd take the money that he needed to keep his workers working and give the rest to a slum every week. He somehow found a way for them to be exempt from the consequences of receiving stolen money. Sometimes they'd get reports of him beating up other criminals a little more than he would if he was his old self but generally he wasn't too bad. When heroes got the call that he was out and about they mainly showed up to catch up with him. Plus, his flamboyant nature in villainy was too perfect to miss.

He was stood in front of a team of heroes, Flash, Batman and Wonder Woman. In between, was a death trap that only Nightwing and Plastic Man could get through. He grinned at them with a crazed look in his eyes and cackled. "Oh hello! I would give you a hug but I just went through this little course of mine and gosh it took my breath away," he greeted, waving from the other side. He couldn't just wave normally though. Far too boring. He had one leg kicked in the air and stood on the other on his tiptoes. He posed like one of those anime poses you get when you google anime bases. "This isn't you Richard, we still have time to bring back your reputation," Batman called. The younger rolled his eyes and looked at his nails, bored with his former mentor.

"This old rodeo again? How dull. You should learn some conversational skills Batsy," he responded. His grin was fading into a pout as he crossed his arms over his chest. Batman growled at the nickname that had once brought a smile to his face yet now it made his stomach churn. Had he really raised a villain? All those lessons on justice, was he just teaching him that the fight against evil wasn't worth it? Perhaps he made villainy more desirable and after all these years, Dick finally snapped. "What would your parents say if they could see you now?" Batman asked.

"They would politely ask you to keep their names out of your mother fucking mouth!" Dick hollered.

"You did go a bit far," Flash concurred. He'd whispered it so Dick didn't hear.

"Who's side are you on?" Batman snapped.

"You've used what would my parents think too many times it's lost all value. I know what they would think and I've since accepted it. They would shout and yell to no end yet I'd still choose this path. I've done so much good like this, haven't I?" Dick replied.

"He does have a point. Poverty has actually decreased in Gothams and the quality of orphanages has increased," Wonder Woman pointed out. She obviously wasn't supporting the villain. No that was a strictly bad thing. Definitely wasn't defending him. Not at all.

"He also blew up a building!" Batman argued.

"That was empty, far away from civilization, which was the main meeting point for meta-human trafficking and led to us catching one of the main groups behind it," Flash clarified. He wasn't defending him either. If you thought he was defending the not so bad villain on the other side of the room, then you're totally wrong.

"Thank you! Honestly, what would I do without the pair of you?" Dick exclaimed, blowing them kisses. Yes, he was a villain, but he was still the kid they'd seen growing up. He was mostly chaotic good anyways. The only reason he was considered a villain is that he was breaking the law. Though, he was breaking the law in order to provide for other people. It was a very difficult situation and, although the League had publicly denounced him from being a hero, they couldn't help but care for him. "You two are no help at all. We were supposed to guilt-trip him back into being a hero," Batman whined.

"Some of us don't like manipulating people to get what we want," Wonder Woman snapped. Her tone was sharp to compliment her harsh glare.

"Although I would just love to stick around for this little family reunion, Benny wants to rob a store and I need to make sure it's not a little business. Don't you hate when your minions rob a family-owned store? It's honestly a big ol' mess when it happens. Broken a few fingers over that," Dick announced after glancing at his phone. He pocketed the device and waved goodbye, pulling out a grappling hook so he could escape. "Oh before you go!" Flash called. He successfully made the villain pause. Dick could always make time for speedsters. "Iris was wondering if you could spare a Sunday to come to ours. We know you're busy but she'd really appreciate it," he continued. Dick pulled out his phone again, tapped on it a few times, then clicked his tongue.

"I can do Sunday night, 7 pm is the earliest I can do," he replied.

"7 is good for us too. Make sure you wrap up warm," Flash reminded him. Batman grumbled and walked off, deciding he'd rather be at home and brood about the situation than hear his teammate make dinner plans with his ward. "Flash, you know it would be a crime to cover up this body. I'll bring Iris a little something. Hand on heart, it will not be bought with stolen money or stolen," Dick responded.

"You don't have to!" the older assured him.

"Please, it's my pleasure. I'll see you then. Toodles!" He shot his grappling hook whilst he threw a smoke bomb at the floor and was instantly out of sight.

The two heroes sighed, waving goodbye to the empty space. Neither had attempted the death trap. Sure it was a waste of a perfectly good death trap but they didn't fancy risking their lives to get some use out of it. "I have to admit, he's looking so much better as a villain than as a hero," Wonder Woman stated.

"Totally. He gets to help people without all the baggage. Sometimes I wish I could join him," Flash answered.

"Honestly, same here." A beep came from their communicators. "Ah well, time to deal with the real threats around here."
