Gunshots rang through the air. King Kong hissed in pain as several small projectiles broke through his flesh. His black fur was stained with blood. His own blood. The Ruler of Skull Island was under attack.

It all started about a week or two ago. King Kong had gone to investigate the weird object washed up on the coast. Turns out it was a strange structure carrying several humans vastly different from the natives of Skull Island. Among them had been a beautiful blonde female. Captivated by her beauty, the king decided to save her from her companions and took her away where he could protect.

How was he supposed to know that the humans wouldn't like that?

Apparently, the female's friends must've hated that because they dared to step foot in the jungle to save her. King Kong had to admit, he had been impressed by their bravery. Or was it their foolishness? Brave fools or not, the king was surprised. But he refused to have his new human friend taken away from him.

Then the worst happened. One of the humans had managed to sneak past the keen eyes of King Kong and snatch the beautiful blonde female right out from under his nose. The Ruler of Skull Island had not been happy with that. He charged at the humans, ready to launch his attack and take back his friend. That's when there was an explosion of gas. A moment later, everything had gone black.

King Kong had woken up last night. He had found himself in a place vastly different from Skull Island. Wherever he was, he immediately knew he was a long way from home. He didn't know where home was or even where in the world he was. He just knew he wasn't home and there were a lot of people gawking at his sight. Thankfully, he recognized one familiar face. Without thinking, he snatched the female and fled to the tallest rock tower in his new environment. All the while the female screamed. Oh, and some strange looking birds flew in.

And that's where we are at right now.

Gripping the bizarre rock underneath his paws, King Kong glared at the birds. They kept circling overhead. Every time they came close, that's when the small projectiles would arrive. King Kong had lost count how many times he had been hit. He was bleeding everywhere by now, he was sure of it. But he wasn't about to go down without a fight. He took one down already. Now he needed to get the others. Rising up on his hind legs, the Ruler of Skull Island pounded his chest and let out a thundering roar.

More projectiles hit him.

Grunting in pain, King Kong's legs trembled. He could feel his strength weakening. Maybe he wasn't going to be able to hold on for much longer. Standing on all fours precariously on top of the bizarre rock tower, he roared at the strange birds defiantly. Movement caught the corner of his eye. He turned and looked.

It was the beautiful blonde female.

Shaking, King Kong stared at her. She was so beautiful. His heart pounding in his chest, the Ruler of Skull Island took a step back. A bad choice really since there wasn't much room up there for a giant Kaiju cat. He slipped and he fell. He tried to hang on but he lost his grip. The king was filled with horror. Plummeting towards the ground, he thought of Skull Island, and his son Little Kong. He would never be able to see them again, not in this life. Tears brimming in his white eyes, King Kong squeezed them shut as he whimpered, "I'm so sorry my son, I love you-"

There was a sickening crunch when King Kong at last hit the ground below the rock tower. And just like that, all because of the foolish actions of people, the Ruler of Skull Island was dead.
