It was that time of the year.

Snow was falling on the cold, wet ground creating a winter wonderland. A cool feeling filled the castle as icicles hung from outside of it.

Blu hated the cold weather but loved the month of December because her favorite holiday was during this time. Christmas. And today was Christmas Eve.

The king was throwing a Christmas Eve celebration like he did every year. Blu hadn't seen the king recently and started to worry. At one point she was almost convinced that the king really was using her. But she didn't know. The King's mode could change so quickly. Or Jonathan... Blu didn't know what to call him at this point.

"Can someone help me with this," the voice of Ryan groaned as he struggled to lift a wooden table. All the servants were currently setting up for the celebration. Blu looked around and waited for someone to go and help Ryan. But after no one spoke for a couple of seconds, she gave in.

"I'll help," she said. Ohm's eyes lit up at the sight of her and he gave her a smile.

"Thanks," he said. "Just take this side and I'll take the other."

As Blu reached for the end of the table, Ohm's hand brushed against hers. His hands felt dry and cracked. Although Blu thought nothing of it, Ohm paused for a brief moment and stared at her. His Hazel-Brown eyes stared down at her and he expected some sort of romantic moment. But he quickly looked down and rushed to the other side of the table.

Blu noticed his behavior. Did he still like her? Blu knew this because it was clearly obvious, at one point Blu liked him, but that all changed when she gained feelings for Jonathan. How long would it take until he got over her?

The two lifted the table and started to walk to the other side of the grand hall. The table was so heavy it felt as though something was pushing it down. When they finally reached the correct spot, they set the table down. Blu sighed and dusted her hands. She put her hands on her hips and looked at the work they did so far.

So far, it was looking absolutely amazing. Simple white streamers wrapped around the pillars, small decorations scattered throughout the hall, and the feeling of Christmas filled the air. Blu smiled to herself. Just outside the window, fell little snowflakes from the sky.

Even further, Blu spotted a black crow perched on the branch of a tree. The form of its body stood out in the white snow. The bird seemed almost like a statue to her for it did not move. Blu examined it for a few seconds and it still had not moved.

Suddenly, an eerie feeling rushed through Blu's body. It seemed as though the crow was staring right at her. Her smile faded as she stared back at the non-moving bird. She could swear it was looking right at her, not taking it's eyes off or her.

"Blu!" A voice said. Blu snapped out of her gaze and twisted her neck towards the voice. It was Rachel.

"What are you doing?" Rachel asked. "If the king doesn't see you working, you'll be in big trouble."

"I know, sorry," Blu replied. "I just zoned out for a second." Rachel nodded and immediately got back to work. And before Blu went back to her own work, she glanced through the window once more.

But the crow had left. An unsettling feeling formed in her stomach but she tried to ignore it as she started to throw the tablecloths on each table. She quickly turned her focus back to the Christmas party and got her work done as quickly as she could, for it was almost time for the celebration.

* * *

"How many people do you think are here?" Rachel asked Blu as the two stared into the mass or people crowded in the grand hall. Blu looked at all the guest; the woman had on fancy, expensive dresses while the men wore elegant tuxedos. The king had not come out yet and Blu was eager to see his face.

"I don't know," Blu replied to Rachel. "A lot." The whole scene reminded Blu of the night of the King's birthday. The grand hall was set up quite similary.

As she continued to look around before getting back to work, she noticed Ohm cleaning a table alone. He looked a little sad and Blu felt bad for him. Then not a moment later, his face lifted to look at Blu. But when he saw her looking, he quickly looked away. What was up with him lately?

She noticed the way his uniform wrapped tightly around his body. The male servants also wore tuxedos with a red tie. The girls on the other hand, wore simple green and red dresses. The king wanted everyone to look presentable for the guests.

Suddenly Rachel nudged Blu. She looked at Rachel questioningly. Rachel pointed towards Ohm.

"Looks like Omega is into you," Rachel teased with a smirk. Blu opened her mouth to speak but she knew she couldn't deny it.

"I know he does," she said instead. But before Rachel could respond, they heard the sound of a spoon clicking on a glass.

And slowly, the chatter in the room came to a quiet murmur. Every person in the room turned to their attention to the throne where a stubby-looking guard stood. He waited for everyone's attention before he proceeded to speak. Once the room fell silent, he cleared his throat and adjusted his tie.

"Greetings everyone," his voice spoke as it echoed through the hallways of the castle. "We welcome you today to the king's Christmas Eve celebration!" There were a few claps and cheers from the crowd but all the servants stared blankly at the guard.

"Today we shall celebrate the holiday of giving. So without further ado, please welcome the mighty, the spectacular, King Jonathan Dennis!"

The sounds of hands hitting each other filled the air. And that's when he came out. From the corner of the hall came the form of the king in his beautiful, gem-spotted robe. Blu stared at his face; his Blue eyes thoughtful (something Blu hadn't seen much of). His hair was brushed upward which made him look even better, with lips curved into a bright smile. The boots he wore were a jet-black and his long, silver sword dangled by his side. His crown rested steadily on his head and all the people admired his many luxuries.

Blu tried not to smile as best she could. When she turned towards Rachel, she realized her lips were pressed into a line and she wore a blank face. Blu nudged her and said, "C'mon, don't be grouchy. It's Christmas Eve!" Rachel looked at her for a moment and gave her a small smile.

Once the king stood in front of his throne, he motioned the crowd to quiet down. Once everyone obeyed his commands, he took a deep breath and scanned the room.

"Thank you," his first words were. "Thank you yo everyone for being here Today. Let us celebrate! We have prepared a grand celebration for this wonderful night and hope you all enjoy this evening."

Claps immediately filled the air and the whole room was filled with the sound of violins and cellos.

Blu watched as the king scanned the room once more. He looked around as if he was looking for someone. When his eyes landed on Blu he didn't move them. He stared at her for a few seconds without any facial expression. Blu stared back not knowing how to react. But the king finally looked away and went to join the crowd of people.

Blu's eyebrows furrowed unsure of what to think of him. But before anyone could catch her just standing there, she immediately got to work and started to serve small appetizers in a tray.

As she walked around she tried to look out for the king. She looked over heads and around bodies but could not spot him in the amassed area.

"Are you looking for someone?" A voice said from behind her. She quickly spun around and thought she would be looking at the handsome king. But instead she saw Mini.

"No just- just trying to find people to serve this to," Blu replied as she nodded her head towards the tray in her hands. But she mentally slapped herself when she realized how stupid that sounded.

Craig gave her a slightly confused face but deciding not to question her. Instead, he smiled and put his hands out in front of him.

"Here," he said, "I'll take it and you go back to the kitchen to prepare the meal," he's such a sweet-heart.

"You sure?" She asked hesitantly. Craig nodded as his hair shined In the light. Blu handed the tray over to him and she smiled.

"Thank you," she said.

"No problem," Craig replied as he walked off.

Blu then started to walk off towards the kitchen. The celebration had just started and she was already exhausted.

She sighed as she turned to an empty hallway. The music was slowly fading away as she approached the kitchen.

Then she heard someone whisper her name.

"Blu," the voice said from the hallway. Blu immediately stopped in her tracks. She looked around to see who had said her name. But there was no one.

She had an eerie feeling as she continued to walk; faster this time. She could still hear the music and the laughs of all the people start to fade more and more.

And then she heard it agian.

"Blu," the voice said. Blu twisted her head towards the sound and when she saw who had been saying her name, she immediately relaxed.

"Ohm you scared me," she said as she let out a long breath.

"Sorry," he muttered as he walked up to her. "Look, I want to show you something."

Blu looked at him for a moment. She had remembered what happened last time she heard those words. But she didn't know how to decline politely.

"Sorry, Ohm I-" she started but was quickly cut off.

"Blu, just trust me I promise no one will see us this time," Ohm said. His pleading eyes stared into Blue's with great desperation.

Blu studied him for couple of seconds and couldn't help but feel bad for him. She sighed.

"Okay," she gave in. "But this is the last time."

Ohm nodded I understanding and started walking in front of her.

"Follow me." Blu obeyed and trailed behind him. Now, she could just barely hear the music in the background.

She followed Ohm to a large window where all they could see were snowflakes falling on the beautiful white ground. Blu had to admit, it was a pretty nice view.

"This is beautiful," she said to him. Ohm gave her a bright smile.

"So, why'd you bring me here," Blu said in almost a whisper as she admired the land.

Ohm fell silent for a moment and just stared at her. Blu felt his silence and turned towards him. His fingers curled into his palms and then gently rested his hands by his sides.

"Because I wanted to do this."

Ohm advanced towards Blu. Before she could even move, he smashed his lips against hers.

Blu immediately pushed at his chest, surprised and in shock from the sudden action. She looked at Ohm in bewilderment.

But before she could even say anything she noticed a figure standing only a few feet away. Someone had seen them.

When the figure emerged from the dark shadows of the castle, her heart immediately dropped.
