A- internal, select this month , 22nd , preetha .

As she kept adding while Rudra navigated into that particular folder . Shivaay and Om were standing beside Rudra focusing completely on the screen .

A- click the file AR .

R- AR

She kept her eyes glued to the system and read the points keenly . The others had no clue of what it told , those medical terms seemed like some foreign languages for them . Shivaay was getting impatient, peeping close to the mobile he insisted her to speak up.

S- what is it ?

Annika didn't bother to answer , she just kept reading. He was pissed off , passing the mobile to Om he asked him to try .

Om- annika , can you just explain this ? Anything about that DNA ?

A- Om...preetha's body had only one kidney .

The three boys looked at each other in shock while annika stated.

S- when I mean, you can process the time right ? Like since when ?

A- yeah ,vrushali did that too . The procedure was done approximately a month before her demise .

Om - what about the other sample?

A- I think it was an hair strand .

Rudra who didn't know anything about the head or tail of this , suddenly muttered in confusion.

R- woah ! Is it something about organ trafficking we're dealing with ?

There was a deep silence in the room after when he said this, Rudra himself was bewildered of why shivaay and Om stared at him like that .

S- annika , cause of death ?

A - asphyxiation I mean lack of oxygen to breathe because of blockage inside throat . To be simple , choked to death . Brain dead after 5 minutes 23 seconds .

S- what do you think Om ?

Om- our instincts were right from the beginning. Well  think of this, she was strangled to death and then, everything was staged to look as suicide .

S- exactly my point .

A- even if it is the truth , we have no clue to start with . Whatever we have is just information.

Riya- is it annika ?

They turned towards the door to find Riya and Rithi standing there , shivaay signalled them to come in.

Om gave the mobile to Riya when she forwarded her hand for it .

Riya - annika

A- tell me Riya

Rithi- have you returned?

A- not yet Rithi.

R- don't you like being here ?

Riya shook her head when Rudra asked innocently.

Riya- no I like it here but ,

A- what is it Riya ?

She asked on hearing a sudden silence from the other side .

Riya- I think I... miss you .

Riya answered taking a pause back between words as if she was thinking of it deeply . An automatic smile appeared on shivaay's face as he just remembered something after hearing Riya's words. Soon Rithi grabbed Riya's hand to pull the mobile near her and spoke .

Rithi - I miss you too annika , but please don't meet my science mam.

The boys cracked up when Rithi declared her terms . Riya cringed at her for this .

A- don't trouble anyone else there and behave yourselves. I'll call you afterwards Om .

Everyone noticed the change in Riya's reaction when annika hung up the phone . They themselves were bewildered by annika's cold behaviour .

Riya- stupidity must have a limit Rithi ! I've been trying to ask her when she would return, why did you interrupt?

Rithi - not just you Riya , even I miss her .

Riya- she's so busy that she herself will forget about your science mam at some point ,all you have to do is keep your mouth shut but you !

Rithi- you really think she'll forget?

Riya- I don't want to talk to you , you're just so dumb .

Passing back the mobile to Om ,Riya ran out only to be followed by Rithi soon .

Rithi - Riya wait !

R- their science story seems pretty dangerous than our case.

Rudra commented after watching all this silently while Shivaay and Om smiled .

It started pouring soon, he immediately shifted his location inside the car . A sudden pour started making the climate really cold , shivaay kept rubbing his palms over and over .

The dashboard got stuck when he wanted to grab a tin from inside , he kept forcing the pull for it suddenly opened up and all the things inside it fell down on his lap . He punched the dashboard on being frustrated.

While he was collecting all the things which had fell down , he heard someone knocking the window .

It was annika standing there with an umbrella . She asked him to lower the glass and he did .

A- I even withdrew the missing case, I'm going to lay down for sometime. So enough of all this, you can leave .

S- you came here to register that ?

He was pissed off .

A- only if you keep doing this , you're giving a chance for them to doubt . I think I'm ok for now , I don't want to go missing next.

S - if you're so confident , why didn't you call the twins back home already ?

Annika sighed looking away , he nodded .

S- this case doesn't seem normal at all. Until we find the people behind all this , there is nothing called ok , now stop wasting my time and leave  .

She didn't even wait for him to complete and just quickly turned to make her way back . Shivaay kept staring at her retreating figure quietly.

' I think , I like you '

He rolled his eyes and smiled sarcastically when these words rang in his ears out of a sudden .

Only when the droplets came hitting him through the window, he realized and slid it up soon .

S - oh shh!

Shivaay opened the prescription sheet which got all wet and put it on the other seat . He then stuffed all the things back into the dashboard and rested back sipping his beer . Suddnely his thoughts got held back onto something.

He kept thinking deeply for a while and immediately grabbed his bag from behind and searched for something in it .

Opening the sheet hurriedly he placed it near the prescription and scanned both closely . His eyes widened to expand big within the next few seconds.

V- he just wanted to help, you shouldn't have slapped him .

Annika didn't say anything and quietly passed the tablet to her .

V- annika ?

She looked away and sighed when vrushali insisted .

A- vrushali none has the rights to talk to me like that , like they know everything about me .

V- I still don't get what kind of rock you are made of annika . So much attitude and anger for your boyfriend.

Annika glared at her immediately.

V- I mean ex - boyfriend.

A- time to sleep vrushali , the Dean had called for me . I'll meet him and come back .

V- you mean your fa

Annika didn't let her speak , rather just pressed her to the bed and covered the duvet over her before leaving the ward .

A- excuse me Doctor .

' yeah come in'

A- you asked for me Doctor?

' yes , Dr. Annika your attendance  for the past week had been fluctuating . Hours seem small , what's the reason ?'

A- had some personal problems . Anyways I hadn't taken off till now , so it should be fine , you can compensate on it in the records if you want .

'Stop ordering me ! I know what you're upto these days . I saw you hanging out with him . Are you both together again ?'

A- if there is nothing else , thank you .

' Annika !'

He shouted to stop her from leaving the room . She didn't like what he did though .

A- Mr.Tej Trivedi , you have no rights to interfere into my personal life . I hope you get that properly .

Tej- you're forgetting something, I'm your father and I do have the rights .

Annika paused for a second and smirked showing some sarcasm.

A- you didn't give me a reason to remember it at the first place .

She left saying this and he gritted his teeth in anger throwing the files here and there . This wasn't the first time it's happening but still he couldn't take this easily .

Making a decision to leave his family didn't seem as a mistake for him even now .This hospital was everything Tej dreamt of in his life . He achieved this dream solely out his hardwork , he would still boast about himslef for that. He had lost all his earnings for the treatment of his late wife and when she unfortunately left the world , he became penniless.

Being a doctor himslef, maybe he could have earned and tried to hold his family, but at that time all he thought was for himslef . He wanted to grow more , achieve more . He couldn't just accept the life of a normal man , working had to feed the family , no . All he wanted was to achieve things beyond a normal man's expectations. But at that situation, he had no money rather more mouth to feed along with a big amount of debt to be repaid .

He decided to leave ,  decided to live for his dream and not for the people he had .

And ofcourse he made his glorious victory on the medical field which didn't happen within days or months rather took him 6 years to be here . He believes that his decision was the perfect one to make .

Annika didn't accept him when he came back , she always treated him as a stranger and he didn't even care about that though .

A- fortunately you've got no infection, but soaking it in water is not advisable at all .

She stated while removing the strap around his neck , shivaay remained quiet .

Om- he disappeared last night ,and returned in the morning like this , wet . Where did you go ?

Annika looked at him after hearing this from Om , but shivaay seemed totally caught up in his thoughts. She shrugged it off and continued her work .

A- you should have come to the hospital, why did you call me here ?

Stiffening his arm in the right position she peeped close to tie the attachment around his neck .

Her feet fingers shrinked tightly to be in contact with the ground when she felt herself so close with him . It happened before even she could realize it did . His hot breath kept fanning her cheek throughout , she travelled her eyes to leave it on him who was still lost in his deep thoughts. She blinked fast and moved back .

A- anyways , let this be first and last .

Wrapping up the things, she stated this which seemed more like a warning .

S- annika .

A- hmm ?

S- I'm not very sure but I have a hunch .

A- what do you mean ?

S- who all have the authority to handle prescription pads in your hospital ?

A- what kind of question is this ? Doctors ofcourse.

S- all use a common kind of one right ?

A- yes .

She was quiet confused by his irrelevant questions.

S- take a look at this .

Fetching something from his pocket,  he left them on the table .He then spread both the papers , one which had the threat  message and the other one was a prescription.

Annika knelt down near the table and kept watching the papers .

Om- what is it?

Shivaay quickly turned on the light lamp and focused it on the sheet .

S- Om look at the spiral bind , it is a square one , with the same green colour border around and the cuts , you'd see it if you notice clearly. And focus on the etched writings here , seems like a doctor's handwriting . It's not the complete prescription sheet but excluding the label of hospital name and everything from it , it seems to kind of match .

She saw the written impression on the parchment. Annika compared both the sheets and slowly looked at him.

A- you're saying ... that

S- annika remember the other report in the mortuary block ? That copy was given to the police when vrushali's system got crashed right?

A- hmm.

S-  so it would definitely not be the one which vrushali prepared rather the edited form , a forged report .

She kept thinking , Om spoke immediately.

Om-  people behind this have clear access to the system in your hospital.

Shivaay pointed at him immediately.

S- exactly my point  , whoever they are , they are inside your organization . We didn't need to look out   , they were always just here .

Annika couldn't just take what she heard , her mind wasn't able to process things at this moment.  She was really taken aback by this truth  . He noticed her tensed behaviour.

S- get up .

A- hmm?

S- up .

She realized that she was still on the floor and quickly stood up. He pushed the bag away making some space on the couch, she saw it but pretended blind and just remained standing.  Shivaay chose to ignore what he did .

Om- where to start ?

A- I have an idea . We got biometrics at every entrance, more like a register .  If we get to access it and find the people who have entered the mortuary on those particular days . We'll atleast have a list of names we can use .

Om- it sounds perfect !

S- but there is a problem .

A- what ?

S- we thought she has eyes on her, but now , we know the eyes are just so close than we could imagine. So we cannot just go in there and access things ,  annika has to stay idle .

Om nodded agreeing to what shivaay said .

A- then what ? You are going in ?  It's impossible.

He sighed deeply and stood up facing her .

S- well then I have to try and see whether it's really impossible.

Om and annika looked at each other with the same " he won't listen " kind of reaction on their faces , when shivaay stated this casually .
