Recap- Annika escapes into the forest on the way, Varun and Shivaay are trying to find her from either sides.

She kept fidgeting with her nails and had even been buried to press them against the soft palm of hers. Last night's been unimaginable, the voices in her head started pushing her to extremes and at a certain point she found herself standing in the twins room, what came after is the scary story, she stood holding a knife for them. If not for the sudden thunder which holed up into her ears that second, god knows what she'd have done to them.

Annika was always proud of herself for being able to handle things, tough things, she's been through many so she thought some sudden mere voices won't stop her and she'd overcome this too. Being the amateur medicine student , she was hell confident that everything is just science in which she's been getting centum all her life. Meditations, good sleep, distractions, she believed all this could help control her mind and followed the same until suddenly it got worse making her realize the seriousness.

The doctor asked her to attend a test which had a series of questions . On seeing the doctor's reaction to her answers, she could only think of one thing at that time, her sisters. She should be fine at least for their sake. At this point considering her father's recent abandoning situation, they have none but her. Her palm bled but she felt no pain, well that's how her brain's been working these days. The impulse is always off cause her head is after something else.

Covering the wound with a tissue she had, she cleared her throat and sat up straightening herself.

' what about your sleep cycle? '

She shook her head slowly.

A- barely.

' Ms. Annika I'm afraid your condition is quiet critical and you will need to get admitted immediately. '

She gulped in with all her might as if that would solve all her problems. What he's asking is impossible, she looked away, up and everywhere to hold her tears. Her father's debt on one side , the twins, her own studies and yet another thing ? No way she can handle this much, what's she gonna do!

If only she had gotten to live like any other girl of her age could, with parents to support and stand. She breathed out shooing away all the self pitying thoughts. Those thoughts are gonna be of no help now, she should be strong, strong enough to fight the demons residing in her head.

A- I'm sorry doctor but that's not possible. I have my children to look after and my studies, part time work, I can't do a lot of time for treatment but I can assure you some regular meet ups if that could help me good?

Her reactions showed how desperate she was for some kind and assuring words from the other side.

' uhh, I'm not very sure about that considering the intensity of your case . Still I should motivate and encourage you for coming up here, wanting to stand against the voices. Not many people realize and do that in your stage . I will make one time table for you, we'll have sessions accordingly and please don't miss your tablets. '

A- thank you .

6978 , her gaze was still stuck to the bill amount while her hands collected everything and put them in a bag. Once again her eyes prepared themselves to go wet, but she grit her teeth so hard and so hard before looking up to keep them arrested. The mobile flashed with a call, she was determined to push him away cause she thought that's the only good she could do for him or else the next time she might even find herself holding the dagger for him.

Before she could process anything he was here , a sudden fear engulfed her.

A- ho how did you know I'm here?

Without saying anything he grabbed her hand and started examining the dressed wound on her palm. The one she got during last night's knife situation. She was still scared though. Wriggling out of his hold , she raised her volume.

A- how did you know!

S- I put a location app on your phone after last time you ghosted me.

He twitched his lips in anger and shouted before again pulling her wrist.

A- what? That's really not

Annika paused the very second when his tear filled eyes caught her attention. The cut was not even deep and he was already crying, what will her actual truth do to him, her heart ached.

A- it's not that worse.

A slow whisper escaped her lips as she struggled inside seeing his sad face. He let out a deep sigh before looking up into her eyes while his palm made it's way in to hold her cheek along with some of her hair filling the gap of his fingers.

S- you can't get hurt ,or fall ill, I won't allow.

A- allow? What , what if something bad happens and you can't do anything about it?

S- I'll try to stop it from happening.

A- if you can't do that, then what?

S- I'll keep trying.

A- you don't understand, if you can never

He answered before she could complete.

S- I really don't know , die trying I guess.

That second  something hard  got etched on her mind, she won't disclose anything to him. Cause that would literally break and shake him in and out, those tears from his eyes showed the depth of his affection for her. If at all God wanted to be somewhat kind to her, shivaay was his choice. She kept staring at him and so did he.

What if she never could recover, the demons in her mind seem intelligent enough to know her more than herself. She could end up hurting him too. And moreover she didn't want him to spend his life running behind her for treatments, being her home and all. Not that he'd deny, he would do everything with all his heart she knew cause this man here chose to leave his family behind to be with her not since today, or yesterday, years it has been. But that's not how his life should be.

Annika was determined . Slowly she started ignoring him though he didn't pick the clue cause she's one cold woman. That's her usual thing and one day she'd come around clinging onto him with so much love like she always has , he thought. Then the break up day happened, she put forth what her priorities actually were and ended things with him.

Present

The first thing Daksh did was to drive off and escape from this place when they let her go . Nitya fought with him throughout, after knowing he had helped his father with all those terrible stuffs , she couldn't just digest any of it. She insisted him to stop and help them, but he denied.

Without realizing  she took the wrong direction towards varun and not the other way from where shivaay was approaching, she kept running. There was only one thing she's been thinking the whole time, shivaay, to somehow get the hell out of here and go to him. But the dark night showed no way, and her bleeding leg hurt more that she couldn't step further at some point. Leaning on a nearby tree she waited to catch some breath. The giant tree was a hollow one that had a big hole which could easily fit in   4 to 5 people. She hid inside and tried to stop the bleeding with whatever she had.

Va- you can't escape today annika, so stop trying .

Varun kept looking around on his way which actually was towards that tree from right. Shivaay came running from left . Since it was a giant one with a hard block of thick trunk, she hardly heard anything.

While they approached close, both of them felt it, like someone coming by in front. The dry leaves did make a good sound while being stomped, shivaay made slow steps to have a upper hand as it was impossible to even see anything. Varun on the other side made huge hard steps thinking he's got close to catching her back. In his victory walk he completely failed to keep caution and thus landed into a pit which was fabricated for animals. He lost his pistol on the ground when he slipped .

Va- God damn!!

By then shivaay was very much close and he could actually even see someone moving inside the pit. He ran quick worrying it was annika. Varun who was busy trying to get out of it just didn't notice someone's presence there. They actually stood facing each other, with a whole lot of difference in height though as shivaay was stand on the ground while Varun inside the pit. Still, they didn't actually know who was ahead.

A sudden lightening hit hard to pitch in between the trees and meet the ground, thus revealing their faces. At once shivaay unlocked the safety lever and stood in position aiming the gun at him. Varun trembled on hearing the gun click sound and could do nothing.

Va- wait!

S- where's annika!

Va- wait don't shoot me!

He shouted while in process of tracing the spot for his pistol.

S- where is she?

Va-  I don't know, she escaped from me ok. And, and you can't just shoot me, I am the government. You can't!

S- you know what? You're right, I know I can't escape the consequences. So I won't shoot you,

Varun let out a huge sigh of relief which immediately choked him after hearing his complete sentence.

S- because that would give you a fast death, you deserve  pain.

Va- no please wait! I... I didn't do anything to her.

He rejoiced on finally getting the grip of his gun and before he could bring it in front ,shivaay kicked his shoulder which led the gun to fly and drop away again.

S- you should die for even thinking about doing anything. You shan't know what took you first.

Before Varun could even comprehend his words, something was dropped into the pit. The noise it made was seriously scary, he turned around but couldn't see anything only. And suddenly there was a deadly stinging pain on his leg and he knew at once what it is, a snake bite .

Va- ahh!

S- it was actually going around, I pushed it in, in case you didn't know.

Va- you! Ahhh... you are never gonna find her. She's become mad, she urgh... she even tried to kill herself once. She'd die soon and

Shivaay shot his thigh and left shoulder immediately not letting him finish. Varun fell back and screamed.

S- they said she saved my life when the infected tried to attack me, that she had put herself at stake. You see that's what we are for each other , and you can never understand what it means. I will find her.

Daksh who was driving by the road along that side of the forest stopped abruptly. He could somewhere feel it, and his father's immediate shrill caught his attention.

D- you wait inside.

Nitya didn't approve though.

N- no! You're not going anywhere.

D- I'll be back , I promise.

N- your father is not a good man DK, let him go.

D- so am I.

N- DK no!!!

She cried when he locked the doors and ran inside the jungle without listening to her.

Annika gathered herself and stayed put without moving inside there when she heard that loud gun shot .

Va- my men...you can't, ahh, you... You can't escape from this forest tonight. None of... you can.

Shivaay smirked immediately.

S- I know.

He stopped Rudra from coming along as he had some other work for him. To gather the honest and loyal men from their team, from their department and block all roads leading to this forest. He very well knew Varun would rely more on his men once he comes to know that they are all alive. So he had planned to hold anyone from entering that way tonight. And he somewhere knew even after all that has happened there is still some hope and trust left in the department.

Varun coughed out hard on feeling mud over his face and quickly realized that shivaay was trying to shut the pit.

S- don't worry, I'm not trying to bury you. This is just to add to your sufferings, I couldn't hold myself back.

He gathered a big heap to empty it inside.

Va- no please!!!

S-I know some science, you must almost feel immobile now if I'm not wrong. Your respiratory tract would slowly give up, eye irritation , and stroke also.Poison does these I guess.

Varun was filled with nothing but rage. He didn't even care about his state now and started searching for that snake. It bit him once again when he grabbed it, he didn't bother, rather tried to just throw it up at shivaay who sensed this coming and shoved himself off away .

Va-  mark my words shivaay.... sss.... she will go sick, mad , and, kill... kill you one day. You did all ahhh... Ahhh!!! all this for her sake right, you will die in her hands.

S-  you know I really don't care. Once I promised her that I'll keep trying to keep bad things from happening to her, as long as that's done and she's safe I don't really care what happens to me.

Va- ahh!!!

He shouted when the pain was unbearable.

Va- kill me, shoot me do it!! Please! ahhh!

S- you deserve every bit of this for all your brutal deeds, especially for even thinking of hurting her.

Just then both heard a hustling noise, and soon realized someone's presence there.

D- dad?

Va- DK!!oh thank god.... DK, DK, don't worry about me. I ... I can hold on for some more time. K kill him first! Kill him first Daksh.

Shivaay found Daksh standing right in front but didn't react much, or didn't even flinch . He stared blankly before walking away from there, dropping the gun. Daksh immediately picked that gun and pointed it at him who didn't even turn back once and just kept walking.

It's been quiet a long time now, she decided to leave. Once she was out of that tree, she started running if that was possible to soon bump with and fall on someone.

The lightning struck once again helping them see each other, shivaay couldn't decipher his joy and relief that second. It was everything he'd ask for. His hands automatically made their way to check if she's allright. He's been thinking about her the whole time and now when she's here he didn't want her to fade away like she would in his dreams. He held her close and tight , and cried.

All his emotions, his pain, joy, fear, rage, all this on one side and only a slow whisper he could make that second .

S- thank you annika.

A- please leave me!

She struggled to get off his hold, he grew worried.

S- annika, it's alright. Baby, look at me. It's me, shivaay.

A- don't you dare take his name. Leave me!! I know who you work for.

Shivaay was terrified by her behaviour, when he resisted to leave her she grabbed a big stone and hit him with it on his head.

S- ahh!!

She caught hold of the second when his clutch loosened, and quickly tried running from there. But he caught her legs in that lying position and blabbered in a subconscious state.

S- anni... annika, it's me sss! Why are you...I'm your shivaay annika!

Annika once again hit his hand with the same stone and ran.

S- annika!!

He wanted to go behind her but the pain was terrible, his vision almost blacked out . He lied there, motionless.
