Kris sat there, everyone was on edge and couldn't do anything. It'd been 10 minutes, but there was nothing. Nothing at all from the bathroom, not even a zombie groan. Noelle was so distraught she had to run to the ball pit to cry her eyes out.

"How much longer could she be out? Ralsei asked, constantly glancing at the door. "Or how long until she's..."

"Zombification doesn't take this long...it's been an hour. If she was going to be a zombie we would have seen it happen right away," Kris explained.

"If Susie doesn't make it...we've just lost our main protector. She's the binding of Lancer and Noelle and possibly Martha--"

"I KNOW, RALSEI!" Kris shouted, he then gripped onto his head. It was happening again.

"Kris? Are you ok?"

"Don't talk to me. Don't talk to me, Ralsei!" Kris instructed, he went through his pockets. "WHERE ARE THEY?"

Ralsei shakily took something out of his pocket, giving it to Kris. It was a pill bottle, with the words "Antipsychotic's" written with a sharpie on a white label. Kris stood there, silent, before snatching the pill bottle away from Kris.

"Kris? Y-You aren't a...a-a psycho are you?"

"Oh, so just because I take Antipsychotic's means I'm a fu***** psycho, then? IT'S NOT MY FAULT THAT I HAVE IT. ALRIGHT? IT'S NOT MY FAULT THAT I USE SUICIDE AS A PLOY. OKAY? I DIDN'T ASK FOR MY LIFE!"

"I-I didn't mean it! I-I just thought you were only snappy because you could...b-but does that you mean you have something?"

"YES I HAVE SOMETHING, SHERLOCK. I HAVE PROBLEMS. BUT I NEVER TELL THAT TO ANYONE CAUSE THEY'LL LEAVE ME ANYWAY! YOU'RE PROBABLY GOING TO LEAVE ME! AREN'T YOU?" Kris shouted. He grabbed onto Ralsei's shoulders and shook him back and forth. "ADMIT IT! ADMIT YOU HATE ME!"

"I don't hate you, Kris!"

"YOU DO! THEY ALL DO! I JUST CUT THE ARM OFF ONE OF MY FRIENDS, I AM A PSYCHO!"

"You aren't! Kris please, listen to me!"

"LEAVE ME ALONE!"

Kris walked away from them, over to the other side of the room. He uncapped the pill bottle and set a pill in his mouth, chugging it down with some more water. Ralsei sat there, silent, he had no idea that Kris had something more to him.

This entire time, he thought that this entire time, Kris was just snappy because he could be...but, could there be something more to him? Could he possibly more than what he gives at face value?

Maybe...Maybe so. Maybe it was true, maybe he was right, maybe Kris wasn't just a psycho who liked hurting him and others. What if he had no control over it? The chance of that was high, he just didn't know what he had. Or how he could help him.

It was that, the agony of not being able to help, that hurt him the most. Not the pain Kris had inflicted on him, not the hard conversations. It was the fact that his friend was being killed by an invisible killer. Worst of all, he couldn't help him...

Lancer checked his phone, there was no connection. No more connection to anyone on the internet, the phone lines were officially down. There was no talking to anyone, no internet, no nothing. Just themselves, but with what happened to Susie they really didn't want to talk. They needed family, needed friends, they needed someone other than them.

But no one else was there. As far as they were concerned, they could be the last people on earth. It was only intuition that told them the High school's inhabitants could possibly still be alive. Kris begged for his dad, his brother, to help him. Ralsei begged for someone to teach him how to help Kris. Noelle begged for Susie to be alright, and not a zombie. Lancer and Martha begged they'd still be alive

But no one was there to validate them. They called out for help...they needed something other than themselves.

But nobody came...

Ralsei walked to the front doors, looking out them to the outside.

Zombies were still in the parking lot as if they were regenerable.

He at least could see the army, still in the distance out in the city.

Ralsei sighed, looking at everyone, then toward the bathroom.

Noelle still crying in the ball pit, Martha and Lancer hugging it out.

Susie who might possibly be a zombie

And Kris, who was sitting under a table, hiding from reality

Lancer hugged Martha, setting his phone on the floor

"Starin' at a screen, in a neon haze."

Lancer's hands turned to fists.

"Whoa."

"Lost in this machine, and I can't engage."

Lancer consoled Martha, pushing his phone away with his foot

"We've become technology."

"Made of code and binary."

"What the hell is left of me?"

Noelle looked up to the ceiling.

"Tell me that it's not too late."

"How much longer must I wait?"

"I need to communicate."

Noelle and Lancer looked at each other

"I need a human voice!"

"Something that I can hold onto!"

They both stood up.

"In all this static noise."

They raised their arms to the sky

"I need someone to break on through!"

Martha looked at the bathroom, then at Noelle who kept crying.

And meanwhile, at the school, Asgore couldn't keep his mind off Kris.

Martha looked down at her skin.

"I can feel the hurt, dancin' on my skin."

"Whoa."

Martha covered her head with her arms.

"Everywhere I look, walls are closing in."

Martha got up and rested her back against the bathroom door.

"I can't stand this atmosphere, I don't wanna disappear."

"Help me make it out of here!"

Asgore clenched onto the sheets of the nurse's bed.

"How can we escape the blur, get back to the way we were?"

"Breathe a little easier?"

Martha got up, jumping onto a chair.

Asgore sat upright, looking out a window in the back.

"I need a human voice!"

"Something that I can hold on to!"

Martha raised her arms to the sky with Lancer and Noelle.

"In all this static noise!"

Asgore grasps and pulls on his clothing.

"I need someone to break on through!"

Noelle and Lancer grab hold of each other's hand.

"I lay my head on my pillow and pray!"

"That someday we'll talk in that old-fashioned way!"

Lancer and Noelle separate from each other.

Their arms outstretched to one another.

Martha shivers looking at them.

"I can hear a sound, comin' through in waves."

"And it feels so real."

They all stand up, Asgore, instead, laying back down.

"I NEED A HUMAN VOICE!"

Ralsei and Kris become an echo.

"I need a human voice!"

"SOMETHING THAT I CAN HOLD ON TO!"

Ralsei and Kris get up and ran behind the three

"Something that I can hold on to!"

"IN ALL THIS STATIC NOISE!"

"In all this static noise!"

"I NEED SOMEONE TO BREAK ON THROUGH!"

"I need someone to break on through!"

They all scatter, apart from Kris and Ralsei.

"I lay my head on my pillow and pray!"

"That someday, we'll talk in that old-fashioned way!"

Martha clings onto Lancer's shoulder.

"There's so much to fear, in all this noise!"

Lancer, Noelle, and Martha come together.

"But all I want to hear is a human voice!"

Kris and Ralsei looked into each other's eyes.

"Just a human voice."

The five go back to what they were doing.

Asgore sleeps, dreaming of a better place.

They take a sigh before it all just goes back to normal

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

They heard a knock, it didn't come from the front door but from the bathroom one. They all turned their attention to it, in shock.

"Guys?" went a familiar voice. Noelle ran to the door, unlocking it and opening it up. Standing there was Susie, with her arm chopped off, and she looked exhausted. Yet, still alive.

"Did ya miss me?"

Noelle gave a bear hug to Susie, Susie blushed and hugged her back. Every one there ran up to her and did the same, hugging her and asking if she was ok. She said she felt a bit woozy but other than that just fine.

"Thank god you're ok!" Martha cried. They all finally let go of her and let her breathe.

"Susie, if you don't mind, we've been thinking. The High School is the only bet we have to be safe. The zombies keep coming back here and a hoard is bound to come and eat us alive! We need to at least check there if anyone is still alive," Kris explained. Susie nodded in agreement.

"Yeah, I think that'd be for the best," Susie said, she scratched her neck. "So when are we leaving?"

"Today, it's 4 PM now I think," Kris noted. He checked his phone for confirmation, and it was true. "If it's 4 PM now, we don't have much time to move. Winter time is when the time is short, it'll be dark by 6. And as well all know, zombies love and usually hang around in the dark. So we need to go now!"

"But here's the thing," Ralsei started, looking over to the front door that was around the corner of a wall from them. "How do we make it that far with zombies around? We can't just go openly, it'll be too dangerous!"

They all thought until Lancer snapped his fingers.

"Guys I go it. I got the best idea ever!"

"Really? What is it?" Kris asked.

Lancer glimpsed at the ball pit, his smile growing bigger.

"Oh, just you wait!"
