Leyland Adventures Chapter Thirteen: Part One

The birds sung their morning song as the sun was finally set in the pure blue sky. The light breeze carried the aroma of fresh flowers; the sunshine beamed onto the land.

At last, Tysashi arose from a long, deep slumber. He rubbed his eyes, viewing Aradressa's unconscious body. "She's still asleep, like a baby. She waited until I returned, so that would explain it."

Cautiously stepping out of bed, he stretched his limbs. "Guess I better present this shard to Aquiline for my next task." Before leaving for a shower, he gazed at Aradressa's figure once more, smiling.

After his steamy shower, Tysashi headed downstairs to the kitchen. The team of chefs were making breakfast as Alfred watched over them. His pupils soon became fixed on Tysashi, walking towards him.

"Tysashi, will you be joining us for breakfast?" He inquired.

"Heh, unfortunately not. I need to get this shard to Aquiline as soon as possible, so I can prepare for the next guardian. Since breakfast will take a while to make, I thought I could just hit up a diner. Sorry for seeming impatient."

"I see. Well, I forgive you, but I don't believe the princess will. In fact, she'd be saddened to not see you during her awakening."

"Yeah...do you think I should stay and eat with her? I wouldn't want her to be sad due to my absence."

Alfred froze to consider the question, placing his vision into empty darkness. "In contrast to what I said, you should go. Go to Aquiline and obtain your next task. Once you do, you can go to Orchtune to locate the library. You can find information about your opponent there, among other useful data. Speaking of data, lend me your pocket watch for a moment."

Tysashi did as he was told. Alfred's eyes carried a thorough search on the item. The gray hairs on his mustache shot up in curiosity, searching through his current entries.

"Not bad, I trust you'll discover more entries. In case you weren't told, you can create a Hydro Stream with the shard. Just place the shard down and request for the stream."

"Thanks, Alfred. Could you let Marissa and Aradressa know where I'm heading?" He asked.

"Of course, now hurry along." He responded positively.

Tysashi thanked him before leaving the castle. He proceeded to follow Alfred's clear directions and successfully created a temporary Hydro Stream. He stepped into the rushing burst of water; the comforting ride treated him to a myriad of stunning views. The entirety of the Kula Outlet seemed like a miniature city inside a snow globe. Shortly after, he arrived at Aquiline's domain. Upon arrival, the  treasured aroma of the sparkling water pleased his nose. Holding the shard before the gushing, glorious waterfall, he gained access to her area.

The depressing silence was disturbed by his echoing shouts. The serene atmosphere already possessed a nostalgic vibe.

"Aquiline, I got the shard!" He exclaimed.

He continued walking across the bridge until he touched the center platform. With a final shout, Aquiline finally appeared before him. Her eyes were lost in the beautiful glimmer of the shard.

"Congratulations, Tysashi. I assume you're prepared for your next challenge?"

"Definitely."

"Your next task is to defeat Malodan. Malodan is a gigantic, turtle-like creature who roams the land periodically. His sturdy shell carries a flourishing habitat for the smaller creatures living on him. He moves from Swealie Sea to Kiyoshi Woods where he sinks slightly below the soil to gain nutrients before moving back to the sea. Don't worry about where Swealie Sea is for now; Malodan only moves at night. If you see five thick, towering trees organized in a circle, you're on top of his shell. Keep in mind he rarely performs this important migration. Though his main pit stop is Kiyoshi Woods, it's not always guaranteed he'll be there."

Tysashi stood with a still face for a moment. "How powerful is it? Is it violent?"

"That's for you to find out. I've given you all you need to know. Remember, five trees in a circular position. By the way, you can make Hydro Streams with the shard to get here faster. I apologize for not mentioning it before."

"It's fine, I figured it out already. I'll come back with the shard before you know it!" He exclaimed, dedication decorating his shouts.

"Actions speak louder than words. Now, please go."

Tysashi, without hesitancy, left the area in search for breakfast plans. Stepping through Hydro Stream, he soared across the puffy, white clouds.
