Leyland Adventures Chapter Four: Part Two

A delighted smile appeared on the queen's face as her eyes stuck to his masculine figure. "Ah, Hammer Hawk. A man who has spent years studying the sundry offensive and defensive strategies, wings, and flying techniques of a Kula Region Hawk. He hasn't changed at all."

"Hammer Hawk has flown back into the arena after five years of heavy training! Ready to reclaim a lost status!" He posed for the audience like an egocentric wrestler, feeding off the cheers he received. "Hammer Hawk sees a puny rat perfect for dinner! No time for a discussion, it's hammerin' time!"

He zoomed towards Tysashi, catching the punch as the mighty wind scattered. He forced the airborne opponent back before witnessing him soar through the air. Hammer Hawk fought through the swarm of fireballs Tysashi sent flying after him; soon realizing the lack of effectiveness.

"You'll have to do better than that to land a hit on the Hawk!" He taunted, posing for the audience before proceeding to lift his wingless rival by the legs. Taking Tysashi hundreds of feet off the ground, he sustained him.

"Listen here, buddy. Hammer Hawk likes to finish things quickly. Hammer Hawk was once a fearsome champion who everyone adored. Hammer Hawk had a polished legacy until some jerk stole my rank! This place has been closed for years and now that it's open again; Hammer Hawk can finally beat that Golden Goofball and claim the Star Gemstone! Now then, you can either forfeit the competition or Hammer Hawk can promise you a painful death. What'll be?"

"Oh, I don't think I'll be choosing either option. You've only made this easier!" He exclaimed, engulfing his body in an orb of flames. He managed to burn his wings which sent the two plunging towards the ground.

As his hair screamed, Tysashi locked eyes with his feathered opponent.

"Hey, do fairy wings grow back? If not, I'm really sorry about burning them." He positioned his body in a relaxing pose.

"Don't worry about Hammer Hawk's wings! In fact, that was only the first pair!" A pair of brown feathered wings emerged from his back. With his real wings consumed, this was his final opportunity to win. "Ha! Hammer Hawk knows the perfect way to deal with you now!"

"Do you always speak in the third person, is it a habit?" He questioned while returning safely to the ground.

With Hawk zooming around the skies, Tysashi was given ample amounts of time to consider a strategy. Just then, piercing bullets of wind struck the field. He danced through the raining bullets while shooting his own. The exploding collision thrilled the rowdy audience, booming cheers covered the battlefield. With Tysashi occupied, Hawk emitted a deafening screech that forced the others and his rival to protect their ears. A storm of bullets assaulted him; though none dug through his body. After being blown into the wall, the screeching ceased.

"Hammer Hawk has wasted enough time on you! Time to use Hammer Hawk's finishing move, Final Twister!"

Gray snakes of wind coiled around him, forming an oversized tornado that selectively attempted to absorb Tysashi. With a smirk, he dashed towards the rotating winds before launching himself directly into the heart. Hammer Hawk hid in the winds; his attacks were constantly blocked as he frequently popped in and out of the storm. Eventually, the two found themselves in a restrained position as the storm grew more intense.

"Sorry, Hammer Hawk, but I'm resistant to winds like this. Nice try."

"Fool! Hammer Hawk played you like a cunning genius; this is Hammer Hawk's real attack!"

He escaped from the lock to retreat into the skies as Tysashi dropped back down. The monstrous winds formed a shield in the shape of a hawk around him as he dived fiercely.

"This is the end, teenager!" He shouted.

Drawing his flaming fist back, he paused. His eyes steadily focused on Hammer Hawk before the final blow was dealt. Once the mere tip of his beak speedily approached, Tysashi's powerful fist was thrown. The winds cowardly ran off as Hawk met the attack, launching him through the clouds. With that, yet another victory was claimed. He transitioned into the God Tier Round, opponents who are at or above god levels of power. Stretching his body, he awaited the next fighter.

"Your next opponent is... Corcyra Aries!"

A woman colored in caramel skin with a mean look in those shining lapis eyes shrugged her curved hips. The audience went ballistic over her lovely dress crafted by vines and leaves of various shades. A bubble-like chest held by vines paired with perfect, loose shamrock hair overrun with innocent flowers. Her lips smooth and glamorous with plum lipstick; just as glossy as always.

Marissa sighed in annoyance at the mere sight of Corcyra. Her inhumane behavior, constantly feeding the desire to view the tears of her opponents before finishing them off.

"So this is the boy who managed to come this far? Is this... it?"

"Heh, yeah. No armor, no weapons, just a regular teen," he chuckled.

"Not the appearance I hoped for, but I can still absorb your life energy! Now stay still, I'll make this quick!"

She shot a vine at him unexpectedly though he caught it. Upon capture, his hand jumped. Spikes coated the vine, injecting tiny amounts of poison in his body. He turned it into ashes. Corcyra used specific hand movements to summon a storm of sharp shuriken-shaped leaves to attack Tysashi. His pyrokinesis proved to be an advantage as the leaves were erased.

"Seems like your attacks don't have much of an impact on me. It almost makes this matchup unfair."

Corcyra snarled at his comment. Extensive, scissor-like bark formed on the tips of her manicured fingernails. He avoided her feral swings while being bombarded by multiple vines. Fed up with his impressive reactions, she forced the tip of her heel into his stomach. His body skipped across the dirt before coming to a stop; he remained in a laying position.

Starving for an opportunity, Corcyra approached him.

"How can you consider yourself my opponent if you fall so early?" Just as her nails were set to shoot through his back, fate had other plans. He extended his arm to secure hers before driving the nails through her abdomen.

Blood oozed from the emerging nails as Corcyra released a bloodcurdling scream that could be heard from miles away. She fell weakly to the ground, coughing up fluids.

"I have to admit, you're more capable than you appear. Are you ok?" He questioned.

As he inched closer, her eyes glimmered. Suddenly, a thick vine grew from the ground and drilled through his chest. Waterfalls of blood fell as he coughed violently. He hid his wound with blood seeping through his fingers. With a crooked grin, her wounds were cured due to the flowers resting in her hair.

"How idiotic can you be to fall for that? Anyhow, I'm tired of showing mercy. It's time for you to rest in misery!" She sent seed-like bombs around the field.

He pushed his body through the cloudy smoke, performing a dance of caution while launching his own projectiles.

"Why won't you die?!" She screamed, crafting a dagger built from bark harder than diamond from her hand.

She drove the dagger across the ground before swinging upwards. He merely escaped her attacks as if it were a game. Her lapis eyes stood stationary while locking onto his dancing sky-blue hair. Just then, his body turned into a statue. His movement was prohibited as she stared extensively at his darting eyes. Her grin grew.

"Finally! The poison delivered at the perfect moment! Now die!" She bellowed intensely; steering the tip to his head.

In the few seconds he possessed, Tysashi blew a rolling tsunami of calamitous flames towards her. Both the dragger and her dainty wings were reduced to small, black matter. Her light brown body suffered from third-degree burns. Spirals of smoke rose from the burnt clothing and charred skin.

"Seems like your impatience led to your defeat; you put up quite an amazing fight though. Also, I apologize about the burns and your wings."

"When I rejuvenate, I'm going to make sure you suffer for eternity." Corcyra was carried out of the arena with an icy stare.

"I hope you get better!" He shouted.

Mixed screams echoed as the next opponent revealed themselves.

"Introducing the second-ranked champion, I give you... Grave Digger!"
