Leyland Adventures Chapter Four: Part One

A glorious morning came to the land of Leyland once more. The rose-pink skies shined throughout the land and the invigorating grass was still saturated after yesterday's adverse weather. The smiling sun caused the water to glisten with alluring properties as it consistently does. The princess arose to a song of delicate snores, she smiled.

Interruptedly, Marissa came through the door to inform Tysashi to get prepared, only to find him asleep. In response, Aradressa rocked him back and forth. Not with excessive force, just enough to break him out of his dreams.

"Hmm, five more minutes honey."

She paused with a flushed face before shaking him again. His eyes opened with lag before springing up. He was reminded of his task; jumping out of the bed to prepare as Aradressa did the same.

Minutes later, Tysashi finished his shower. Clouds of hot steam escaped from the bathroom once he opened the door, coming out fully dressed. To his surprise, a still guard stood against the wall. Silence loomed over before the guard spoke.

"You're assigned to come with to the coliseum, everyone is already there."

With a nod, Tysashi followed the guard outside the castle. Birds zoomed across the colossal red and cream painted arena. Flags of royalty plastered the walls as crowds of fairies entered. Inside, the massive audience screamed for his entrance. As he walked towards the center, his head orbited the crowd. Multiple unknown fairies invaded his sight though he saw Aradressa waving her arms frantically.

"All right ladies and gentlemen, we have a new visitor from another galaxy. Give it up for our newcomer, Tysashi Aerosmith!" The announcer shouted.

Faint cheers were heard in the background, not many people have grown to like him just yet.

"In this first match, Aerosmith will be facing...Nate Poseki!"

The awkward lack of cheers certainly defined how petite others cared about him. Only the cheers from his allies were heard through the silence.

An annoying memory was triggered once his eyes picked up Nate's presence. "Nate?"

"Hello flower picker, I'm here for that rematch."

"I don't know why you're here, but this isn't exactly the right place to embarrass yourself. I mean, I'm sure you remember last time," he stated casually.

"Enough, I came here for a fight, not a conversation!"

Within seconds of hearing that statement, Nate speedily flew towards Tysashi with a flaming punch. Tysashi grabbed his fist, hoisting his body to throw him to the ground with immense power. The ground violently shook to which the audience could feel the vibration run up their spine.

The crowd roared for Tysashi. As he scanned the cheering crowds, Nate drew his fist back to punish Tysashi with a fierce punch to the face. A tooth jumped out with a trail of blood following it. His stance remained still. Wiping the blood, Nate shot pint-sized knives at him. While arching his back, Tysashi held his breath. Launching himself back up, he released a deep sea of flames like a dragon. The audience could only view his flames submerge Nate within the heat. Spirals of smoke rose of his fallen body as he laid with clenched teeth.

"Listen, I'm all for a good fight but you look really injured, you should stay down." Tysashi crossed his arms, staring down at Nate with a disappointing yet concerned glare in his eyes.

As time passed, Nate continued to groan. He hoped to find the spark of energy that would grant him the strength to continue fighting. However, this spark was extinguished. He claimed defeat.

"Aerosmith wins!"

His eyes followed Nate as he was dragged out. His friends stayed behind to see if the stranger from another planet could win.

"Mother, I thought there was a concrete strength limit required to enter. Nate seemed too impotent to even compete with the others."

She giggled. "You said he was the boy messing with Tysashi, correct? Not too long ago, he wanted to enter because Tysashi was entering. I quantified his strength and kenned he wasn't nearly as powerful as Tysashi, but I sanctioned it anyway. I knew Nate would lose, so I let him join... only to get hurt. How's that for revenge?"

"You're the best mother ever!" Aradressa cheered, extending her arms around the queen. Her body screamed with jubilance as warmth scattered her body.

"For Tysashi's next opponent...Lundy Lacross!"

A towering fairy with navy-blue hair wearing a violet knotted shirt and lapis-blue shorts entered the arena. Sunlight fell off her lightly brown skin. Her dazzling amethyst eyes could control weak and foolish males.

Aradressa couldn't take her eyes off the light silver staff with a snowflake resting on the tip Lundy carried. The Staff of Glacious, as her mother described, is a formidable weapon that harnesses the ice element. It is capable of freezing the entire planet at devastating temperatures only few can withstand.

"Open your ears and listen well, wingless! This planet has thrived peacefully without fail. Your presence will only ensure chaos and war among us. I want to be the one to rid you of our home. I still wonder why our queen has left you here." Lundy shot her staff towards, her eyes focusing on him.

"I don't intend on causing any tro-." He was silenced by the slam of her shining, amethyst heels.

"Silence, I don't want to hear a single word from the alien who is nothing but an invasive human to Leyland. I just want to hear you scream!"

She homed in on him while twirling her staff. Tysashi matched her strikes with his fists, he locked on to her movements perfectly. With his attention snared, a quick sweep of her leg brought the hero down. Lundy attempted impaling him through the stomach with the bottom of the staff; though he rolled away from his own death. With her weapon placed deep into the ground, she infected the area with ice. Constantly slipping, he failed to gain control of his body. Noting the crooked smirk on her face, he gave her a smirk of his own. Thrusting his palm down, flames ran wild throughout the ground, returning the terrain back to normal. He stood on his two feet, forming fists.

With a decimated mind, she growled like an aggressive dog.

"Just what are you?! The temperature of my ice is registered at absolute zero! Only few gods of the fire element could dream of accomplishing such a feat!" She barked.

"I guess you could say when it comes to fighting; I always turn up the heat," he laughed heartily.

Everyone went dead silent, only the soothing breeze carried an audible sound.

"You know, that was a lot funnier in my head."

"Ugh!" Lundy unleashed a relentless barrage of icicles at Tysashi at breakneck speeds though he simply engulfed his body in flames to thaw them.

"Nice try."

Her eyebrows were weighted down as burning rage overtook her. Lundy dashed towards him, viciously swinging her staff fast enough for a regular person to see it as a blur. As if time froze, Tysashi caught her staff. Like wild animals, the two fought over the weapon before he snatched it away. He unleashed an onslaught of heavy, blinding punches which sent the slender woman flying. Her crimson-painted body fell off the walls and formed a depressing puddle. Tysashi approached her at a snail's pace as he lit his fist on fire. The destructive flames departed as he scanned her bloody body. Maybe he went too far with the attack.

"Look, I didn't want to hurt you like this. I actually think we could be friends, but I can't let my kindness distract me from winning."

"Ugh, why the hell would I want to be friends with you?" Her eyes refused to stay wide open. The sickly groans of her voice was more than enough to reach his mercy.

"Because I'm assuming you're not a villain, you're just scared."

Infuriating thoughts plagued her mind, she refused to believe anyone would offer her friendship in a location of violence. To her, there's no such thing as making enemies your friends. Especially if that enemy is a non-native creature. She arose from the small puddle of blood, forming blades of ice. Charging at Tysashi like a bull, she cut through the air with ferocious swings. He swiftly swayed his body to avoid her swings, soon grabbing both her hands.

"Sorry about this," he bashed his forehead into her face, knocking her unconscious body to the ground. Streams of crimson liquids oozed from her head and nose.

"If it means anything, it's nothing personal. I just can't afford to lose. Even though I offered friendship, sorry about the roughness."

"Aerosmith wins again!"

The audience cheered with immense volume. He swayed his hand at the speed of light as his next opponent arrived, Hammer Hawk.

A muscular male fairy came into the field. A rich brown, feathered long-sleeve shirt covered his chest. The iconic symbol of his wings painted his snow white shorts and shoes. A hawk mask complete with a metal gray beak concealed his face; only revealing his lime-green eyes.

"Oh brother..."
