'I just need to reach a little further.'

Anax thought as he leaned in a little further more carefully as to not touch the sides of the safe and get caught by princess Alice again, the thought of it made him shiver.

'Don't want another guilt trip again.' The child grimaced.

He pushed in further feeling the key touch the tip of his hands.

'Yes!' he thoughtfully exclaimed with glee. "Soon it'll be mine!" he said excitedly only for him to freeze in horror as he spoke out loud. He then tried to take the key only for it to not get in his hands and for his horror to finalize when he felt someone lift him off the chair and out of the safe from the back of his shirt.

Anax just stayed there dangling in the air before his whole body slowly turned to his captor.

"AW phooey." he huffed as he came face to face with Alice's husband. Shard Draconem, the next king of Remnant.

The king was smiling amusingly at the sweating child who is awaiting for him to make his move.

"Alright Anax, wanna tell me why you were about to steal the keys to the cookie jar." The prince amusingly spoke as Anax made a small "eep!" sound.

"Or I can just bring you to Alice~." Shard said in a sing song tone.

Anax spilled the beans immediately.

"Makenna and Tyson were hungry for snacks so I volunteered to get. PLEASE don't tell Alice!" Anax exclaimed quickly as his body was slowly producing electricity from his fear making Shard panic when he saw and felt the electricity quickly trying to calm Anax down but accidently said.

"It's like she'll put you in the corner." time seem to froze for the two but for different reasons.

For Anax it was the corner.

For Shard it was what he said.

'I need a doctor after this.' Shard thought as Lightning struck the two because of Anax's fear of the corner.

"Alright I won't tell my wife if you just calm down." Shard cried as he felt his body receiving electroshock therapy.

Then just as the lightning came it disappeared. Anax's emotion changing from fear to joy as he won't be in trouble.

'Yay auntie Alice won't be mad at me.'

'He will put me into an early grave and I'm still in my early 30's.'

"Anax."

"Yeah?"

"Never speak of this accident, K."

"OK dokey!"

The two then walked from the now fried safe but unaware to Shard Anax was smiling because he was able to get the key without him knowing.

'I shall rule the cookie's mwahaha and other evil laughter sounds.'
