SUMMARY:

After the accident in the vibranium mines caused by Klaue, Zara was never the same again. It left her scarred, emotionally and physically. The loss of her parents and her little brother left deeper wounds than the debris of the explosion had... She couldn't breathe anymore in their secure corner of the world, her heart set on bringing the person responsible to justice. And so she decided to join the War Dogs, Wakanda's Central Intelligence Service, to collect information and protect their interests all over the world and continue her search for Ulysses Klaue in secret...

She travelled as far and wide as she could to try and leave her past behind her. But news of her childhood best friend T'Challa Udaku was bound to follow her, considering he was the crown prince. And so when she heard of his father, their king, being murdered, Zara knew she has to face her past in order to help her country.

Working undercover as a CIA agent, Zara managed to come close to T'Challa once again. She knew it was her job to try and talk him out of taking revenge on those responsible for his father's death. But trying to stop him wasn't fair, not when her own mind was still set on revenge as well. She would have granted him peace had she known how to save a life. But all she'd ever known was death and so she saw no other choice but to help him get justice. No matter the cost...

NOTES:

- Zara is a character who has been in my drafts forever. I really hope someone would like to write this plot because I love her! Zara's parents worked in the vibranium mines in Wakanda. When Klaue came to Wakanda to steal the vibranium, Zara happened to be there as well, together with her little brother. They were bringing their parents lunch during work hours. Klaue set off an explosion to cause a distraction. Both Zara's parents were killed, as well as her little brother. Zara survived, but not without three scars running across her neck and face. They had the technology available to remove them but Zara wanted to keep them as reminder.

- This is also why I chose Meagan Tandy as faceclaim. Her character in Teen Wolf, Braeden, has three scars. Which is perfect for any possible graphics! I cannot see anyone else as Zara, so unless you have a really good replacement, I'd prefer it if you don't change the faceclaim!

- After the accident, Zara was traumatised and decided to leave Wakanda. She joined the War Dogs, which is basically Wakanda's version of the CIA, and moved to America. Zara was very good at her job but secretly used the resources to keep looking for Klaue, still wanting to get revenge on him. You can read more on the War Dogs on the marvel wiki page if you like!

- T'Challa and Zara were childhood friends but they grew apart after she decided to leave. However, they get into contact again during the events of Civil War. Zara hears the king is murdered and basically gives herself the job of helping T'Challa. She works undercover as a CIA agent with Ross and Sharon Carter, which is how she meets T'Challa.

- At first, she wants to talk him out of killing Bucky, because that's her job. But she feels like she's being a hypocrite because she's still chasing revenge as well. So that's when she decides to help him instead. However, when T'Challa choses not to get revenge in the end, Zara can't understand why. She's so caught up in her own pain that she cannot see that he made the right choice. This causes some tension in their relationship.

- Still, T'Challa wants her at his side when he's crowned king and asks her to come back with him to Wakanda. Zara says yes and that's how she gets involved in the plot of Black Panther. This could make for an interesting arc for her where she has to chose between revenge and justice as well when they run into Klaue. She is with T'Challa in the car when they chase him. She doesn't kill Klaue in the end, because when faced with the opportunity to do so, she finally understands why T'Challa didn't kill Zemo either. This could lead to a very emotional talk between her and T'Challa about the choices they made.

- Zara is a very bitter and angry character, which balances perfectly with T'Challa's more hopeful and optimistic character. Basically, they're perfect okay!
