Luigi's POV

It seemed so normal that next morning. Though it wasn't really that normal. Yesterday I just learned that I was going to be a father in nine months. This seemed crazy at first.

"How are you Daisy?" I asked her as she flipped pancakes onto some plates.

"I'm fine, Luigi. No need to freak out. I have a doctor's appointment today. And no, I didn't just call the doctor. It was just suppose to just be a check up." She said as she set my lunch pail down with my coffee cup next to it.

"Do I need to go with you?"

"No, you don't need to. It's more important for you to go to work."

"Mario can handle it, it's not that hard." Then she gave me the look.

"What happened the last time you didn't go to work..." I then let out a sigh. Daisy was right. The last time Mario tried to fix a pipe with an propane torch. And started a fire.

"What if Peach goes down with him?"

"That is an accident waiting to happen, Luigi."

"Well we can at least try." I pleaded to Daisy and she smiled.

"Alright, I just hope Peach is not going to be a problem down at the shop."

"She won't hurt a thing, Daisy." And I flashed her a reassuring smile. She smiled back and Peach entered the kitchen.

"What do think of the idea of going to work with your husband?" Daisy asked Peach and she shot us a questionable look.

"Why? Is it the fact Luigi is going to the doctor's with you?"

"Yes, because he wants to go. Though he really doesn't need to go. But he is already getting overprotective." Daisy said, laughing lightly.

"I guess, just to make sure Mario doesn't burn the shop down. I'll be able to do that." Peach said as she walked away, probably to change. Mario came in short after.

"Morning you two! Daisy, you look as bright as ever!" Mario complemented Daisy and she awkwardly smiled at the comment.

"What's with that?" I wispered to Mario.

"We don't-a want to get her mad. She may go on a rampage." I shook my head and Daisy rolled her eyes.

"Mario, I'm going to be the same Daisy you know. There is going to be no weird transformation. I'm going to be the same old Daisy. You don't have anything to worry about." Daisy reassured Mario and he wasn't really wanting to believe that.

"Anyway, Peach is going to go to the shop with you. You two better behave..." I said and Mario nodded.

"We will. Don't worry brother-mio. There will be a shop to go back to." And he laughed lightly, Peach coming back into the kitchen in pink overalls, pink shirt, and brown shoes. Her hair was in pigtails with a pink marioesque hat with a "P" on it.

"Momma Mia! You look so cute Peachy!" Mario said as he looked at Peach.

"Alright you two, be very careful at the shop. Okay? Luigi and I will back in a little while." Daisy said as she grabbed my hand and basically dragged me out of the apartment, on our way to the doctor's.

Mario's POV

"Alright Peach, you do have to be careful down at the shop. There are things in there that you shouldn't touch." I said, Peach nodding as we walked to the elevator and pushed the button.

"But what if you get a call?"

"Then I'll take you with me, Peachy. It's not like we are performing a brain surgery." I said and Peach nodded. Then our down the hall neighbor came down, she must be wanting the using the elevator.

Her name was Loretta, she was the building's busybody. She learned almost everything about the building. She knows everyone and their business.

"Morning Mario, who might this be?" She said and before I can answer she went on talking.

"You must be that Peach girl. You look pretty. Where is your brother, Mario? Usually you two are gone by 6:30."

"Well, Loretta, Luigi went to the doctor's. He'll be back afterwards." And the elevator came and we all hopped on.

We were all going to the same floor.

"Hmm, never thought Luigi got sick often. Poor Luigi. Anyway, a little bird told me that you got married like 4 months ago. A double ceremony?" Loretta kept the questions coming.

"Yeah, Luigi married Daisy, and I married Peach all on the same day."

"Wow, that really ain't traditional. I guess this generation is getting quite untraditional. But I understand, you are just a 26 year old." She said and then the elevator got to the main floor. No more talking with her.

"Well, you two have a good day." Was all she said and walked out of the elevator.

"You are only 26?" Peach asked and I nodded.

"I'm only 25. And Daisy is only 26. Wow!" Peach said as we walked down the sidewalk to the shop.

"You didn't know how old I was? I was only a year older than you." I said and she kept trying to remember if I ever told her.

"You probably did, but it just slipped my mind. So, what do we do at the shop?" She said as we walked down the stairs to the shop.

"We basically wait until we get a call. Maybe have a little project or two, but right now, we have nothing really." I said as I set my lunch box in the refrigerator and my travel cup on the work table.

"So, it's going to be boring?"

"Not necessarily. Luigi and I play cards, chess, checkers, and such. It's usually a lot of waiting for us. It's just how our business here runs. Luigi has been being the busy cleaning bee for a little while." I started to ramble on how this place was and such.

"So, what little projects do you do, Mario?"

"Well, I have been doing more scientific experiments. Basically to do what is in this science project book. I got a few years ago and I wanted to finish doing all of these experiments and documenting them." And I brought out my big binder and my book.

Opening the binder, it had pictures of my lab experiments. My first one was after trade school and before I went to the mushroom kingdom. That was a potato battery.

The latest one was my DIY Super Glue, which super glued my brother to his seat. That was four months ago.

"Well, here I am at experiment 289. This is the vacuum experiment. We need to create a vacuum." I read the experiment that was in my book of experiments.

"We basically demonstrate Boyle's law. When pressure is lower volume is higher. Or I think that's what it is." And I started making the experiment happen. I took a real marshmallow and placed it under a container and created a vacuum.

The marshmallow expanded a bit and then decreased a bit. Then when it was taken out of the vacuum it shrunk.

"Whoa! I didn't know marshmallows shrunk like that!" Peach said as she held the now small, crushed marshmallow.

"I never knew that either. Alright, smile!" And I took a picture with my Polaroid camera of Peach with the marshmallow.

"Now let's do the next one!" Peach said as she now looked at the next experiment.

"290, Fun with baking soda volcanoes. That sounds fun!" And she looked at it further. She frowned as she looked at list of ingredients.

"It would make a small volcano..."

"We can double or triple it."

"Or we can just make a whole box worth!" Peach went and found and box of baking soda and a jug of vinegar. She started adding the whole box of baking soda in a bucket, filling the bucket half way.

"Alright, now we just need to add the vinegar. Peach, add the vinegar as I take a picture." She nodded and got down near the bucket with the jug of vinegar.

"IN 3, 2, 1, GO!" And she added a ton of vinegar and the liquid/foam ran all over the place.

All I heard after that was the sound of Luigi's voice after he came down stairs with Daisy.

"MARIO! WHY DID YOU FLOOD THE SHOP?"
