Daisy's POV

It has already been a month or two since our wedding. The weather was getting chillier in New York City. Snow sometimes falls, other times, there is just rain turning into ice.

"I h-h-hate this, c-c-coldness!" Peach said as she went around the apartment freezing in her nightgown on the couch.

"Why don't you just get real clothes on, Peach?" She just shook her head like a whiney child.

"Peachy, come on... listen to reason." I said and she didn't budge. Then as if a switch flipped on, she ran into the bathroom. I didn't really want to know what she was doing in there. What if she just got sick? No, let's hope not.

She comes back out white as a sheet and sits back down on the couch.

"Are you okay, Peachy?" I said as I inspected her from a safe distance. She didn't really look sick. I felt her forehead and she was feverishly hot.

"Peachy, do you feel cold?"

"Yeah, I'm cold, really cold." I saw her shiver a bit. She covered herself in a few blankets on the couch. Looks like she is going to be camping out on the couch today.

"You must be sick, probably a cold or something to that effect." I said as I took a thermometer and placed in her mouth.

"Place it under your tounge and wait until I tell you to take it out." I said timing it out on the clock in the kitchen. I had to still make breakfast for the sicky girl on my hands.

After it was time, I checked her temperature, she had a fever of 100.4°F.  She needed to take a fever reducer, though its going to be tough since she hated swallowing pills.

"Peachy, you need to take a pill for me-."

"A PILL! NO WAY, IM BETTER SEE?!" She stood up, shaking a bit.

"Princess Peach Toadstool! You better listen to me. You have a fever and you are taking a pill so you won't die, okay?" She nodded, sat back down and took the pill. Though it took her a bit, but she did. That was what was important.

I then went and made breakfast for her, giving her a small portion on purpose just in case she couldn't eat a regular serving. I made some pancakes, bacon, a little bit of fruit salad, and a cup of tea. There was a healthy breakfast for the sick little princess.

After awhile Peach fell asleep watching a movie, Kate and Leopold. That was one of favorites that I put in, instead of something she has seen a million times.

I then decided to clean house a bit while Peach was asleep. As the movie came to the end, I turned off the DVD player and left the movie in there. I then went and got my bluetooth speaker and started listening to some music, but not as loud as I usually do.

But the wonderful music of the 1980's was drowned out by Peach's snoring. I kinda was getting annoyed, but I took a deep breath and relaxed. I started turning up a little louder, but Peach would become even louder. So I finally just decided to just take my bluetooth speaker right in the kitchen with me, blaring. I finally was able to hear the song, until I heard Peach cough hysterically.

I went to check on her. She looked terrible. Still as white as a ghost. Poor Peach had a terrible cold that seemed to get worse as time went on.

I took care of Peach, trying to not to touch her so I wouldn't get sick. Then the boys came home, looking at a sickly pale Princess Peach.

"What's wrong with-a Peach?" Mario asked as he looked at his sick wife.

"She has a cold, hopefully it will run its course in a few days." Then Mario ran over and his behind his taller and younger brother, Luigi.

"GET DISEASED RIDDEN PEACH OFF THE COUCH!" Mario yelled behind his brother.

"Mario Mario! Stop being so mean. Peach is staying right there, alright?" I said trying to defend Peach since she was asleep.

"But we can move her to her room and have her in quarantine! I don't want to get sick!" Mario yelled and Luigi rolled his eyes.

"You'd think I would be more of the germaphobe." Luigi remarked.

"I'm not a germaphobe. I just don't want to get sick!" Mario yells and Luigi keeps rolling his eyes.

"Well if you are so scared of becoming sick, why don't you just stay away from Peach." Luigi said as he walked over toward me, leaving Mario alone.

Mario then just went to the kitchen and threw his lunch pail down on the counter and then went to the bathroom. I then heard the sound of spraying products and the smell of Lysol.

"Sounds like Mario is on extreme cleaning mode." Luigi joked.

"Kinda like a mother-to-be when they get that nesting phase like on Night Court, which I wonder if that really does happen." I said and Luigi chuckled. We both then looked at each other, blushed, and didn't really know what to say next.

"I think I've asked you this question before, but... do you ever want children?" Luigi asked as I blushed harder.

"O-of course. I always dreamed of having a little baby. Why?" I asked, my face probably as red as a beet.

"I just wanted to know, because one day I want a little bambino too." Luigi said as he looked at me and held me close. We both wanted children, but were we ready.

"Luigi, are we even ready?" I said as I looked at him. He gave me a warm smile.

"Of course, you are smart, beautiful, and very loving. When we have a kid, you will the most perfect mother is all the world." Luigi said, then he kissed my forehead. When we decided to have children, we would be ready for it.

"Daisy... can I get some tea...?" Peach whined on the couch.

"If you can take care of that baby princess over there, you can totally take care of a baby." Luigi said before I went to go to make Peach her tea.

Luigi was somewhat right, I'm taking care of Peach at the moment. Getting her this and that. I could totally take care of a baby.
