Ladan: *excitedly* E!!!

Eric: What?

Ladan: You're really going to like this chapter!!

Eric: *suspiciously* Why?

Ladan: I can't tell the readers, obvi. *flips hair*

Eric: Then tell me out of the story.

Ladan: But you're still a reader! Can't spoil it, I'm sorry.

Eric: Fine, I'll find out eventually

Ladan: Oh! and sorry about not updating when I was supposed to. I couldn't finish it in time. Plus, it was a holiday and I had 2 different birthdays I had to celebrate and I only had half of it done. Didn't want to give you guys a half finished chapter.

Eric: Whatever, you're still trying to finish it on time.

Ladan: Yep, and since it's summer break starting tomorrow for me, I don't know if I'll have time to write. But I'll try to update on my normal time.

Ladan: I've also been busy writing one-shots for all my fandoms. That story will be out probably next weekend so follow me so you know when it is out.

Eric: Self promotion?

Ladan: Yeah, you got a problem with that?

Eric: No, but lets get the oh soo likable chapter underway!

Ladan: AYE, SIR!

Kaden's POV

We stayed at an Inn for the night. I had used the mist to our advantage so the workers wouldn't question why we were alone out of the city. Besides, we only had a few drachmas on hand and I don't think mortals would accept that as a proper form of payment. Demigods really should have a machine to change Drachmas for different types of money. Anyways, each room had 2 single beds and a bathroom. Ladan had split us up based on our compatibility in battle, in case some monster came by and we couldn't get to each other fast enough. Nino and Adrien, Mari and Alya, and Eric and I were paired up. Ladan decided that she would be in a room with the kwamis, but i had a feeling she didn't feel comfortable sleeping with people, now that i know Aquaa wasn't exactly human. It's still hard to imagine Ladan being Delphine and Eric...well I still can't believe that Eric of all people is Leon! Even though I've seen them both transform multiple times, it's hard to process.

How could they keep this secret from me for soo long? I've known Ladan since I was born, her being just a few minutes older. And I've known Eric since the 4th grade.

I still remember that day all too well...

Flashback-Kaden's POV till i say otherwise

I woke up to my mom opening the door to my room and telling me to get dressed. Today was the first day of 4th grade, first day in my new school. Ladan and I were accepted into this special school that went from grades 4-12.

I got out of my bed and put on some jeans and a gray shirt. I made sure my terrible bed-head was flattened and at least presentable before I left my room. My little brother was still sleeping on the top bunk of our bunk bed. He wasn't old enough for school yet so I let him sleep. I walked over to Ladan's room and knocked.

"Lads, you up yet?" I asked, slightly louder than intended while banging on the door. A few footsteps were heard before the door opened and there stood my overly-exited twin.

"Could you be any louder?" She asked in her normal, sassy voice. She looked to be ready for the day, except for her hair, messy as always.

"Your hai-"

"Yes, I know." she said, pulling me into her room and sitting me on her bed and handing me a hairbrush. "Now fix it" She commanded.

"Ugh, fine. But learn to do it yourself" I sighed and started to fix her hair into what I would say was a good side braid. She always made me do her hair so I had gotten pretty good at different styles.

"Thanks" she smiled. Her stomach rumbled and she frowned slightly. "I'm hungry...what's there to eat?"

"Not sure" I said as we headed to the kitchen. There was only cereal so we each poured ourselves a bowl. We eat in silence until it was time to leave for school. I opened the door and we walked out. "Hey, someone finally bought the house" I said, pointing to a house 2 doors down which had a 'Sold' attached to its 'For Sale' sign.

"I hope they're nice. Maybe they have a kid our age. Wouldn't that be great?" Ladan said hopefully.

It was a short walk to school and we were discussing our classes along the way. Once we made it to school, we went to our lockers, which happened to be right next to each other.

Ladan's POV

We locked our lockers before heading off in different directions. Since the school was mostly a middle and high school, there were different periods. Kaden and i didn't have our first two classes together, which felt weird to me. We were usually in the same class.

Anyways, my homeroom teacher was amazing since she let us pick our seats (score!) and get to know our classmates. Everyone seemed to already know someone. I didn't have anyone since they all went to different schools before this. I scanned the room looking for someone to befriend. My eyes landed on this boy in all dark clothes. He was all alone. I went over to him and plopped my stuff down in the seat beside him.

"Hi, I'm Ladan" I greeted and stuck my hand out. The boy smiled lightly and shook my hand.

"Eric"

We started to talk and got to know each other. That started us on the path to becoming best friends. Apparently Eric had just moved here yesterday from a few valleys over. The bell unfortunately rang for 1st period.

"Eric, would you like to sit with my brother and i during recess?" I asked.

"Umm...sure. Why not? Beats being alone" He said in all seriousness.

We had different classes first period but were in the same class for second. Recess was just after that so we went to our lockers together.

Kaden's POV

My first two classes were boring as hell and i was happy to just be out of there. I was at my locker when Ladan came up.

"Hey Kaden!" She greeted in a chipper voice. I looked over to see some guy on her other side, leaning against the lockers.

"Who's he?" I asked as i closed my locker and slung my bag over my shoulder.

"This is my new friend Eric. Eric, this is my twin brother Kaden" She introduced.

"Hey" Eric said.

"Hi" I replied.

I looked the boy up and down. He was interesting, to say the least. All black clothes and a dark, stand off-ish demeanor. He was completely different from Ladan's other friends, it had surprised me. Ladan was always around more...optomistic looking people...more, colorful. It kinda struck me as odd for them to make friends so easily, and on the first day of school no less.

"So what classes do you guys have next?" Eric asked as we sat down at a bench to eat our food. None of us really wanted to go sit at the cafeteria because it was crowded with a lot of high-school students.

"I have math" I said.

"So do I" Ladan said.

"I guess we all have math together" Eric chuckled.

When the bell rang, it was time for my favorite class, or at what could be the best one so far. We were assigned seats by last name so I was directly in front of Ladan. Eric was a row away but in the back of class. I sat in the second seat from the front.

"Hello class, my name is Mr. Rivera and welcome to my class." The teacher said. "I'm passing out your syllabus for the year which you need to get signed and returned to me by Friday with the supplies on the list."

"Umm, sir? what will we be learning this year?" One student asked.

"Well, first I'd like to test your knowledge so far to know what I need to cover. So I'm going to ask a few simple math questions and if you can answer them, raise your hand." He said and put a problem on the board. "What is 44 times 12?"

He called on someone behind me quickly. "The answer is 528" That was quick for such a large number. I had a feeling it was Ladan...actually I knew it was Ladan. Not meaning to brag, but math came naturally to us.

The next question was a bit harder and I answered it effortlessly. Ladan then tapped me on the shoulder. I turned and she had a hand out towards me. We high-fived. A few questions later, the bell had rang. Ladan and I answered 90% of the questions together.

At the end of the school day, we were walking home.

"So where's your place Eric?" Ladan asked. He told us the address.

"Lads, isn't that the address of the house next to Delilah's?" I asked.

"The one that was just sold? I believe so" She answered.

So, it turns out Eric lived in the newly bought house. As the days of 4th grade went on, we all grew comfortable with each other. I guess some time during the first semester, they got their miraculous when I wasn't with them. Because all of a sudden, Delphine and Leon just appeared out of nowhere and saved the day from our akumatized science teacher.

End of Flashback

So yeah...I didn't even know that my own sister could keep a secret from me. At first, I felt hurt that they told Marinette, Adrien, Alya, and Nino first. But now I kind of understand why they had to do it.

Anyways, I've been thinking about the prophecy and trying to decipher it for myself. We've already deciphered the first line to be that the 7 of us must go to Tibet, or at least that far. In the second line, Th'e one who was lost with the Chinese'...I have my suspicions. But what if 'the one' is not a person. What if it is the Peacock miraculous? Maybe if we retrieve it, the quest will be over and we can go on with our lives.

I still haven't had an idea as to what the last 2 lines mean exactly. What could 'And defeat the one who someone calls their family' mean? Hmm...someone calls their family...family...the only family relation between all 7 of us is that Ladan and I are twins. But why would anyone want to defeat either of us. I mean, I'm usually not talkative enough to make enemies. Ladan on the other hand...lets just say that sometimes, she can't control the words that flow out of her. As someone who's been on the receiving end of the sass stick many times, I should know better than most. She has made quite a few enemies in her lifetime. Delilah, for instance...but she isn't ready to talk about it yet.

But what I don't get is why we would have to defeat her. How much trouble would she need to cause or what would happen that we need to defeat her? And that last line 'Or else the gods will have a new enemy' Is Ladan secretly planning to overthrow the gods? But she's been loyal to them even before we came to camp. Mom told us about her being a child of Athena but we had never been told what that makes us until we got to camp. She had still worshipped the gods and looked up to them. She would never have any reason to go against them. Unless, she had been lying and keeping her plans to overthrow the Olympians to herself. That would definitely cause the gods to have a new enemy, after those instances with Luke, Chronos, and Gaea, who were also enemies with the gods. Is Ladan also working with some big baddie like Luke was?

It's getting late, maybe I should fall asleep so I'm ready for monsters that are bound to come tomorrow.

Time Skip-Ladan's POV

Finally, morning! I decided to change my outfit because I hadn't changed throughout the whole quest. After I was ready, I grabbed the kwamis and went to the other's rooms. First, I knocked on Kaden and Eric's room.

"Guys, get dressed and meet us down at their breakfast place" I shouted and I think I heard the thud of one of them falling out of the beds.

Then, I knocked on Nino and Adrien's door.

"Y-yeah dudette?" Nino yawned as he opened the door.

"Grab your clothes from the bag and get dressed. And here's your kwamis." I said as he grabbed his and Adrien's clothes from the bag and the kwamis flew inside. Then, I did the same process to Alya and Marinette's room but I barged in since they weren't awake yet and splashed water in their faces before yelling "GET READY" and tossed Marinette the bag.

3rd Person POV

When everyone finally arrived for breakfast, they ate as much as they could as fast as they could. They didn't have time to talk as they left. When they passed the front desk to leave, Kaden tried to bend the mist while everyone stayed out of the workers' lines of vision.

Now, they were on the road. Well...more like walking on the side of the road. They planned on walking for as long as they could before they steal a ride on a bus or something.

Adrien was currently pulling off his Chat Noir charm on Marinette.

"Hey, Purrincess. Since we came to this camp, have I become any sexier to you?" He smirked, flexing in front of her.

"Not really" Marinette giggled at his dorkiness.

"So I'm not the cat's meow?" Adrien asked. No response from his blushing girlfriend. "At least tell me that I still got my charm"

"Oh kitty," Marinette sighed, pushing him away slightly. "It's a good thing that I love you"

Ladan and Eric were a few feet behind, watching the two. All of a sudden, Ladan gave Eric a look and whispered in his ear. "We sure he's not an Apollo kid?"

"I wouldn't be surprised" Eric snorted. "Maybe somewhere down the line. It would be pretty diluted though, I assume."

Ladan nodded. "What was that?" Alya asked, walking in step with them now. "You say something?"

"No" Ladan said with a small smile. "Just a meaningless conversation. Nothing to take interest in" Alya nodded and went to try to talk to Kaden, since she thought he was lonely off to the side.

"We should move quicker" Eric said. "Its a long way to Tibet and I want as little monsters as possible"

"That sounds like a good idea dude" Nino said." The faster we walk on the road, the faster we can get off it."

The 7 of them walked all the way from way from morning into the night, taking snack and bathroom breaks here and there. They came across monsters every so often, maybe like, 5 in total. 2 giants, 2 cyclopes, and a drakon. The drakon spit fire, an easy fight for the twins of the water. The other monsters were pretty hard though. There were no akumas because, well there wasn't really anyone around. There was only a highway that would tell them if they were on the right path still.

Later on. they ran into a forest. They concluded it would be best to go through it instead of around because that would take to long. The day was slipping into night unknowingly until the dark was completely settled in.

"Guys, it's too dark to continue" kaden said. "What If we fall right into a monster's trap?"

" Then I'll just turn into Chat Noir and use my night visio-" Adrien said before being cut off.

"But then you weapon won't work against a monster" Eric said. "And believe me, I've tried"

"Doesn't matter" Ladan argued. "We have a lot of ground to cover in as little time as possible. So we have to keep trudging along until it's absolutely necessary for us to take a break" Everyone but Ladan was sitting on large rocks. "Get up and lets keep going"

"Hey, we get it" Alya said, a bit of anger in her voice. "You've been training for the worst-case scenarios at camp for, what was it...5 years? you have been trained for the survival of the fittest. But we on the other hand, have not had as much training. We only found out who we were about 2 weeks ago and got dumped onto a quest that we litteraly have no clue about or where we'll end up. Alya took a second to get her breath back. "So, next time you want to skip sleep when we can't see 5 feet in front of us, remember when you had as much experience as the rest of us." She got up angrily and stormed off, not slowing down or looking back.

Ladan watched her go before turning back the others, the tips of her ears pink with embarrassment while her mind went in a million different places. She sighed, dismissing most of the thoughts from her head. "I...uh...I hit a nerve, didn't I?" She winced before putting her thumb and forefinger to her temples in annoyance with herself. "I'm sorry. I really didn't mean to" She sat down for the first time today on one of the rocks.

"Hey, It's okay. Not your fault" Nino said, coming over to pat her shoulder in sympathy. "You didn't know"

Ladan perked up. "Know what?"

"Ahh...its a bit awkward for me to sa these things about my girl." Nino turned to Marinette and Adrien before turning to the direction Alya went. "And, I should go check up on her, make sure she's not attacked. Adrien will explain" And with that, he ran off to Alya.

"Know what?"Ladan asked again, this time to Adrien.

"Well, one day a year or so ago, the kidz+ TV station had a poll to end summer on a high note. It was to determine who was the most powerful superhero" Marinette started.

"...and when the votes were tallied, they all pointed to Alya being the weakest. "Adrien said. "And this was just before Chloe became Queen Bee."

"Oh. so she thinks she's weak and can't do much" Kaden said bluntly. "I felt that feeling for a time when I found out about Ladan's upgraded water powers." He looked back at the memories of finding out how, because of her friend Hannah's magic power coursing through her veins, she could control and bend water to her will easier. For a time, he was jealous that she had more power. But that all changed when he heard the full story of how she had acquired those powers.

"Yeah, if anything, Nino and Alya are evenly matched in strength" Marinette sighed. "But it's definitely a weak spot for her"

"I see" Ladan sighed, her eyes drawn to her feet sadly. "I should go apologize to her"

She got up and ran off into the depths of the forest to find the 2.

Meanwhile, Alya was sitting on a log, crying her eyes out. After the outburst, she ran until she tripped and fell on the log. She couldn't run anymore, so instead she broke down on the log. That's when Nino came for her.

"Babe? Babe?" Nino called, running towards her.

"Nino! Watch out for the-" Nino tripped and fell on the log. "-log..."

"Oww" Nino muttered. Alya got up and helped him stand, setting him on the log.

"Are you okay?" She asked, sitting next to him.

"I could ask you the same" Nino chuckled, the pain of the fall already residing. "With you running off like that."

"I'm Fine" Said Alya

"No you're not"

"Yes I am"

"I followed the sound of your crying to find you"

"Okay! I'm not fine" Alya snapped. "I'm just weak."

"How so?" Nino asked.

"I can't fight, I can barely use my weapon, and I don't know how to do this quest shit" Alya started crying again, this time into Nino's chest.

"It's okay babe, just let it out" Nino comforted her for a while.

Alya just kept repeating "I'm weak, I can't do anything" over and over while the tears ran down her face.

"You're not weak" a voice said, coming out from behind a tree.

Alya looked up to see Ladan in front of them. "What're you doing here?" Alya asked.

"I-uh...I just came to apologize for what I said." Ladan said solemnly, not breaking eye contact with Alya." I know I've had a lot of training. So have Eric and Kaden. I know that I can-umm-also be insensitive at times. Its just, after the 2 weeks I've known you guys, it feels like I've known you my whole life. I forgot just how untrue that was"

"O-oh. Well, I'm sorry too." Alya said. Ladan gave her a confused look. "For running of like I did"

"How about, we all put this behind us and keep moving forward." Ladan said. "And by that, I mean taking a break until morning"

Alya agreed to putting it behind them. They got up and reunited with the others, finding a good place to rest and falling asleep. Everyone was too tired to keep watch for monsters so the kwamis volunteered to do so.

Except for Plagg. Plagg was the first to fall asleep, despite Llea's yelling and Tikki caringly trying to shake him awake.
