Dam it, I think I'm gonna be late, I thought, walking to school. Thalia had set my alarm to 30 minutes after it was supposed to ring, so five minutes before I had to leave for school, I was frantically brushing my teeth and getting my bag ready at the same time.
And it didn't help that I couldn't stop thinking about her. That girl.

---flashback to the day before---

I was sitting on the bench of the small train station, waiting for the last train of the day to arrive, when I saw her. She was beautiful. She had wavy dark auburn hair, and a feather was attached to a lock of her hair. When she turned to me, I saw her eyes, a kaleidoscope of colors. I think she was about to walk towards me, but right then the train arrived. I saw her get in, and couldn't keep my eyes off her. She turned around and locked eyes with me. I swear I saw the tiniest of smiles form on her lips. But maybe it was just me, because I got this feeling that I already knew her.

The train left and I realized that it was the last one of the day. Aw man, I thought, I'm gonna be stuck here all night. I'd better call Thalia.
I called my sister, but when she picked up the phone all I could hear was rock music blasting in the background.
'Um, Thalia? You there?' I asked through the phone. I heard her yell an answer but naturally, because of the music, I didn't hear it.
'Are you at a concert again?' I asked but then she hung up.
"I swear I'm gonna kill her," I said. But then I got a message from her. "Oh." I realized I was the dumb one for not thinking of messaging her.

Thalia: What do you want, Sparky?

Jason: Hello to you, too, Thals.

T

halia: Get to the point.

Jason: Well, um, you see... I kinda got mesmerized by this girl at the train station and I'm stuck here because I missed the last train.

Thalia: Can you be any more of a doofus?

Jason: Sorry not sorry. Anyways, can you come pick me up? Pretty pleaseeeee???

Thalia: Ugh. Fine. But you'll have to repay me. I was at a concert with Reyna!

Jason: Oooooh, you're with Reynaaaaa.

Thalia: Shut up. I'll be there in 20min.

Well, that was done. Now I just had to wait 20 minutes for Thalia to arrive.

---end of flashback---

I arrived in front on the school, just in time.

My first class was math. With Mrs Dodds. Ugh. I walked into the classroom. The only place left to sit was next to a pretty girl with tanned skin and a happy smile. None other then Piper McLean, or, as Percy likes to say, my crush. I sighed. Great. I searched for Percy's face and when I found it, I saw him smirk mischievously. I made a mental note to get back at him, and I knew the perfect way. I went to sit next to Piper, just as Mrs Dodds entered the classroom.

"Hi," I said to Piper.
She looked over and smiled. "Hey. Jason, right?"
I nodded. How did she know my name? Then I remembered. She always sat at the table next to ours at lunch time. Usually, Travis, Connor, Katie and Lou Ellen were with her. But when they weren't, she'd take her phone out and start reading. It was cute, because when she did, she always made facial expressions that matched what she read.

Just to clear things up, here's a little presentation of everyone.

Connor Stoll - He's Travis's younger brother by a year, but they look like twins. He and Travis are always up to no good

Travis Stoll - He's Connor's older brother by a year. His favorite thing to do is tease Katie around. He so obviously likes her.

Katie Gardener - her favorite hobbies are singing and gardening. She says Travis is "utterly annoying" but I'm positive she has a little crush on him as well. Her best friend is Lou Ellen.

Lou Ellen Blackstone - her favorite book series is Harry Potter, she talks about it all the time. She and Katie spend their time together. She's also the one who talks to Piper the most, probably because Piper likes reading.

Piper McLean - she is easily the prettiest girl in our grade, although Drew Tanaka would never admit it. She is Tristan McLean's only daughter. She had beautiful wavy dark auburn hair and multicolored eyes. Gods, I just noticed that she really looks like that girl at the train station last night.... Waiiiiit..... Wait, I think that's her! Oh my gods it's her! Wow... I don't know what to think....

Heyyy sorry for the short chap, and I know I'm only 2 chapters in but I don't really know what to do next... I have three books that I'm writing including this one cuz I was bord during my 2 week holidays but I just started school again so I'm gonna have less time. Well, let's not count they I have 3 days of national holiday starting tomorrow and then the weekend, so I'll have lots more time to write starting tomorrow.

It's a good thing I don't have homework too, even tho my school is one of the rare ones that give, like almost nothing to do throughout the week.
Welp, imma go work on other books. Please give me ideas if u have some. Tyyy
