Third Person POV

At Beacon Academy, Ruby was sitting on the roof by herself as she curled into a ball. As she continued to curl into a ball, crying and muttering to herself.

Ruby: I-I'm sorry.
She sobbed.

Ruby: I-I-I-I didn't m-mean a-a-any o-o-of it.
She continued to sob.

Ruby: P-P-Please F-F-Forgive m-m-me.
She continued to sob.

???: Hey Sis!
Ruby slowly looked up and saw Yang walking to her.

Yang: How come you've been coming up here lately?
She asked her little sister.

Ruby: I-It's nothing.
She answered.

Yang: Come on. You've been coming up here often lately.
She said as she sat near her sister.

Ruby: J-J-Just needed to be alone.
She told her.

Yang: Come on. You can tell me.
She said as she wrapped her arm around Ruby's shoulder.

Ruby: J-J-Just been thinking.
She told Yang.

Yang: How about what?
She asked as she winked at Ruby.

Ruby: Y-Y-Y/N.
She struggled to say.

Yang; Why do you think about that loser.
She spat at Ruby.

Ruby: I-I-I C-Care about him.
She struggled to tell Yang.

Yang; Why do you care about him! He's always thinking he's top notch and everything!
She yelled at Ruby.

Ruby curled deeper into a ball as Yang was yelling at her.

Yang: You're not going to with a lover like him!
She yelled at Ruby.

Ruby: WHY NOT!
She yelled with tears streaming down her cheeks.

Ruby: I ALREADY HURT HIM WHEN I DIDN'T WANT TO! I DIDN'T WANT TO! BUT NO! EVERYONE SAY HURT HIM THIS AND THAT! AND NOW HE'S GONE BECAUSE I WAS SCARED! SCARED TO DO ANYTHING!
She yelled at Yang.

Yang stepped back as she watched Ruby cry her eyes out.

Ruby: Y-Y/N.
She sobbed.

Before Yang could say anything, the intercom went off.

Intercom: Team RWBY. JNPR. Come to Ozpin's office.

Ruby slowly got up as tears were still dripping down her cheeks. Yang watched as her little sister made her way down the steps, heading to Ozpin's office. Ruby continued walking down the halls as she only thought about the guardian she tormented.

Ruby: Y/N.
She muttered.

Ruby's POV

I couldn't stop thinking about him. I couldn't get him out of my head.

"I'm sorry."
I muttered.

I continued to walk down the hallway until I came across Blake again.

Blake: Hmm.
She said as she glared at me.

"H-H-Hey."
I said to her.

Blake turned away as she walked to Ozpin's office.

"B-Blake."
I said as I tried to reach out to her.

Blake: Don't talk to me.
She spat at me.

Blake: Everyone here are nothing but monsters.
She spat me.

I felt my will crumble as I heard those words. I felt tears slowly coming down my cheeks as she walked away.

"I-I-I'm s-sorry."
I struggled to say.

Third Person POV

Team RWBY and JNPR walked into Ozpin's office as he sat at his desk.

Jaune: What is it Headmaster Ozpin?

Ozpin: This a village being under attack by grimm and by some creatures that I never seen before.

Weiss: We'll do it.

Ozpin: Good luck out there. The bullhead is waiting outside.

The others nodded and walked out of the room, with Ruby being the last.

To Blake

Blake was walking out of the building and walked to the bullhead but was grabbed by the arm. Blake slowly turned to see Sun holding her arm.

Blake: What do you want Sun.
She said with venom.

Sun: Come on. Don't be like that.

Suddenly Sun planted his lips against Blake's. Blake immediately shoves Sun off of her.

Blake: I'm not dating you and I never will.
She said as she pointed Gambol Shroud at Sun's throat.

Sun: Why not?

Blake: Because I'm dating Y/n!
She yelled as she pressed the blade onto Sun's throat.

Sun: Why are you dating that loser? I'm much better.
He told her.

Blake:Stupid monkey.
She spat as she walked onto the bullhead.

Everyone slowly walked into the bullhead and sat away from Blake, away of being snapped at. Everyone sat away from her while Ruby slowly sat by her.

Blake's POV

I saw Ruby slowly sitting by me as I was thinking about him. The love of my life. Y/N. A guardian from the last city.

"What the hell do you want."
I spat at Ruby.

Ruby didn't say anything as she looked at me. There I saw her red puffy eyes.

"So she's been crying."
I said to myself.

"What do you want."

Ruby didn't answer as she turned away from me.

Time-Skip Third Person POV

RWBY and JNPR were running down a path as they heard screams coming from the village. Hearing this, Ruby used her semblance as the others continued running to the village.

Ruby's POV

As I got to the village, I saw a creature I haven't seen before.

"W-What the hell are you?"

The creature screeched at me and started charging at me. I grabbed my scythe and slashed at it. The creature fell onto the ground as I looked at it.

"What the hell is this thing?"

???: RUBY! GET AWAY FROM THAT THING!

"What?"
I asked as I turned around to look at Yang.

Suddenly I felt something enter my lungs as I started coughing out painfully. I felt my body weak as I fell to the ground, coughing out whatever hit me.

Yang: RUBY!
I heard her muffled screams.

Yang's POV

"Weiss! Let go of me!"
I yelled as I struggled to get to her.

Weiss: Don't you see that!
She told me as I saw something I never saw before.

"W-W-What the hell is that?"

The thing raised its hand and it pointed towards Ruby.

"RUBY!"
I yelled as I charged at her, getting out of Weiss's grip.

As I ran, I saw a black ball slowly forming in its hand as I got closer.

"RUBY GET UP!"
I yelled.

I saw her struggle to get up as she was coughing out blood. As I got closer, I saw the creature aim at her. 

"RUBY!" 

Third Person POV 

Yang got closer and closer as the witch shot its weapon at Ruby. 

BOOM 

The area around Ruby exploded as Yang saw the inevitable happen. 

Yang: R-Ruby? 
She said with sadness in her voice as she fell to the ground. 

The other teammates stood there in sadness as they saw Ruby explode. The twitch came through the smoke as it hovered in front of Yang. 

Yang: R-R-Ruby. 
She muttered as she looked down in sadness. 

BANG 

Before the witch could do anything, its head was blown off. Yang slowly looked up and saw the dust clear up. There she saw someone with armor holding Ruby in his arms. 

Yang: Y-Y-Y/N? 

Y/N: Ana. Get them to the ship. We're going back to the city.
