Third person

Scott ran through the trees, looking for a place he could consider "safe". Unfortunately, no place seemed safe enough to stay. Everything seemed pitch black and the shadows had started to play tricks on the teen's mind.

Each time he looked at something he swore it had moved from its original place. But this was just an illusion, just a prank his eyes were playing on his brain. There were no shadows out to get him, his adrenaline was just far too high for him to function properly.

"This is bad...! This is really bad...!" He whispered to himself.

The wind howled, making the trees swish along in the same rhythm. The terrified teen hugged himself and kept walking to try and calm his nerves.

"There's nothing here... It's just your mind... Your anxiety... You'll be okay..." He said to himself, just trying to regain some of his calmness.

Meanwhile there was another teen in the woods. Oh but he was not an ordinary teen. No, he was far from ordinary. He was half snake after all.

The purple male, known as Vincent, slithered through the maze of plants. He wasnt looking for anything in particular, just for a nice spot to sleep.

The Naga moved through the darkness, which his eyes were specially evolved for. Nothing to him seemed abnormal about tonight, but that was about to change.

He ducked behind a tree as Scott ran by. Vincent had never encountered a human before, and wasn't sure how to handle it. He just knew he was curious about the creature in his territory.

The snake boy followed Scott silently, just being curious as to what he was up to in the forest at this hour. The brunette was running as fast as his legs could carry him, which was practically a snail's speed compared to that of a Naga.

Scott was in his worst state of mind. Fear was taking over his body and influencing his actions. He was running far too fast and tripped over a tree root.

He let out a groan of pain as he hit the cold hard ground. His heart was finally beginning to slow down, realizing the forest actually wasn't that bad. The view of the night sky was breathtakingly clear and the moon was giving off some light.

The brunette glanced around the trees, letting out a deep sigh. He had gotten so worked up, so frazzled, over nothing but a bunch of trees.

"I'm so stupid..." He mumbled to himself quietly.

"Why issss that?" Vincent asked, peeking out from behind a tree, but keeping his tail concealed.

The smaller male sat up quickly and scrambled back against a large tree. He hadn't expected anyone else to be in the woods because of all the stories.

"W-Who are you? W-Why are you here?" Scott asked, keeping his distance from Vincent.

"I live here. Why are you here?" The purple male asked.

Scott was now confused. Why would anyone want to live in these horrible woods? It didn't make sense in his mind.

"How can you live here? It's the forbidden area of town... No one even thinks about coming in here..." Scott said, becoming more skeptical every moment.

"I didn't know any of that... I've jussst alwaysss lived here... But if it'sss forbidden, then why did you come here?" The purple male explained, still keeping his distance.

"It was a dare... I don't want to be here..."

Vincent moved closer, his purple scales becoming visible in the moonlight. Scott let out a gasp of shock and crawled back out of fear. All the stories he'd been told as a child, had just been confirmed as true.

"S-Stay back! D-Don't hurt me please!" He pleaded in terror.

Vincent was confused and tilted his head to the side. Why would he hurt the brunette? He didn't see a reason to.

"I'm not gonna hurt you... I just want to know who you are..."
