Third person

The more time that passed, the more Scott longed to see Vincent. Something about that friendly snake was attractive to Scott. Not just his looks, because he was nice looking, but his personality.

Vincent was kind for no reason. He helped Scott and expected nothing in return. Maybe that's what Scott liked about him? The fact that he was selfless? Perhaps.

The brunette laid in bed, waiting for his alarm clock to go off. Each minute that passed he would have rather been in the forest. But he knew he couldn't do that.

The forest might as well been the forbidden part of town. No one ever went in there. If his parents knew that's where he wanted to be right now, they'd send him straight to the hospital for a x-ray of his head.

It may be a little extreme, but it was true. His parents were lawyers, and good ones at that. But they were often stressed because of their cases and they tended to be more paranoid when it came to Scott. That's why Scott desperately wanted out.

The brunette decided he would sneak out some other time. It was seven-thirty now, so he had no time. It was best to wait.

While Scott was at home, Vincent was staring at the cave entrance. He wanted Scott to come back just as soon as he left.

Something about the way Scott appeared to him. He seemed so innocent and scared. He was vulnerable and the Naga couldn't just leave him. He may be a predator, but he was by no means heartless.

There was no way he could've left Scott. If he had the brunette would've gotten lost, hurt, maybe even died. Vincent may be the most dangerous creature in the forest, but he wasn't the only predator.

It would have been easy for Scott to find a bear and get mauled. To fall in the river and drown in the current. To slip and fall off a rocky cliff because of the darkness. All of these would have been easy. But none of them happened. Vincent didn't let them happen.

How could he? Scott did him no harm, he didn't wrong him in any way. The only thing he did was become his friend, and for that Vincent was grateful.

All the Naga wanted from life was a friend. Love had never crossed his mind because who would want to love him? He was half human half snake, capable of killing in a matter of seconds. There was no way anyone could love him.

But just because no one would love him, doesn't mean he couldn't love someone else. Does it? Sure, he was thinking about this far too quick, but he genuinely liked Scott and the thought was crossing his mind.

The Naga's heart would beat faster at the thought of the brunette. He would feel butterflies in his stomach. He was anxious to get his friend back.

"I want him back..."
