Tait's POV
Gustav, Iona, Embla and I were heading to our hideout before we were called to come here, so I thought it was only right for Misty to come with us too. She happily agreed and we soon left the teens to hang out. I realised that Fanghook, the Monstrous Nightmare, wasn't walking with Gustav like he usually does. Instead, he was playing with Misty's dragon a few metres behind us. Gustav ordered Fanghook to walk beside him; the dragon ignored his owner, as usual. It normally annoys Gustav when his Nightmare does this, but it didn't today. I didn't catch the other dragon's name, and I'm pretty sure I've never seen a dragon like it before.

Our hideout was in the cove. Last year, we discovered a cave there which was hidden behind some large bushes and shrubs. We trod through the forest which led to the cove, pushing tree branches and vines out of the way. Walking in a single file line, Iona was at the front with Misty, me, Embla and Gustav following behind - as well as the two dragons. Just then, Misty flicked a branch aside but it swung back and slammed against her forehead. An oomph escaped her mouth soon after the impact. She bent over slightly, pressing her palm on her forehead as she winced in pain. "Oh my Thor. Misty, are you okay?!" I exclaimed in shock.
"Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine." she replied, dropping her arm to her side.

Embla gasped and said, "You're bleeding!" Misty looked at her hand and saw a smear of bright red blood.
"It's only a bit of blood. I'll be alright." she said.
Iona glanced at Misty and then pointed to me with her chin. "You should let Tait have a look at that cut. He can help you."
Gustav added, "Don't worry, he's a professional. He's been trained." Without another word, the girls guided her to the lake and helped her wash off the blood. Meanwhile, I searched for a leaf that was approximately the same size as the cut. Once I found one, I asked Gustav for some dragon saliva. Fanghook licked the leaf and I asked Misty to sit down.

"You don't have to do this. I hurt myself all the time. Trust me, I get injured nearly every day. It's no big deal."
"That doesn't mean I shouldn't help you. Just stay still. This might sting a bit." I lifted the leaf closer to her head, but she turned away.
"We're friends now. I won't hurt you, trust me. " I tried to persuade. She wouldn't even look at me. "Okay fine, I'm going to count to three and then you're going to let me help you. And if you do not turn around by then, I will slap this leaf onto your head. Whether you like it. Or not." I knew I was being stern but her injury would only get worse if she didn't let me help her. She stayed mute. "One..." Her fingers twitched. "Two..." I could hear faint but quick breathing. "Three."

"Fine!" she blurted out, snapping her head around to face me.
"Thank you," I replied. "Do you want me to go slowly or just get on with it?"
"Make it quick please." she replied, squeezing her eyes shut. Immediately, I applied the sticky leaf across her temples and watched Misty clench her fists in pain, her shoulders tense. I could tell she was biting her tongue. After a few seconds, she relaxed. Her shoulders slumped back down and she released the grip in her hands as she let out a sigh of relief. "That feels much better, thanks." I smiled and nodded a 'You're welcome.'
"Just keep that on for about half an hour."

A/N Sorry that this chapter is shorter than the other ones - I didn't have a lot of ideas.
