Misty's POV
After our little flight competition, the gang offered to show us the Dragon Training Academy. Runa and I happily obliged. We haven't had this much fun in a long time. We all had a little break before we set off to the academy. We arrived there in a matter of minutes, zooming through the sky like shooting stars. The training school was an arena in the shape of a large dome, with iron bars overlapping each other in a checkered pattern as the roof. From above, I could see large doors on one wall. It was probably where the dragons were kept sometimes. Standing in a row along another wall were racks of swords, helmets and shields. Not to mention the fire bolt targets used for shooting. Surrounding the academy was the vast ocean and the dock. It was much better than the dragon academy in Donar. Everything there was dark and gloomy - it was a nightmare.

Once we landed, Hiccup asked Ruff and Tuff to get Gustav, Tait, Iona and Embla. I remembered Hiccup mentioning Gustav and my heart suddenly skipped a beat. I wasn't ready to meet more people! Before I could find a way to escape, I heard a voice behind me. Turning around, I saw a a group of four kids around my age. There was a boy with jet black hair and jade green eyes. He wore a helmet with twisted horns that hid most of his hair - except for the back and a part that covered the middle of his forehead. He had a grey belt around his waist, a chain with a tooth hanging on it around his neck, leather arm bracers, knee pads and black boots. He was also wearing a short sleeved, green shirt with strings weaving in and out of the v-neck, and a darker green fur coat. "Hey, do you need us for something?" he said to Hiccup, leaning on a Monstrous Nightmare who I presumed was his dragon.
"As a matter of fact, yes." Hiccup replied. "Wow, never thought I'd hear those words come out of my mouth." he muttered to himself quietly.

The boy was about to say something but he caught sight of me.
"Well, hello there. I'm Gustav, but you can call me the man of your dreams. And you are?" he said, with a grin on his face.
"Uh, I'm Misty and I think I'll just call you Gustav." I stepped closer to Runa, who I'm sure was enjoying this awkward moment.
"Suit yourself then. I'm more into older girls anyway." He smirked at Astrid, "Hey Astrid." She looked away in disgust. Suddenly Gustav's elbow slipped off the dragon and he fell flat on the ground. I tried to keep a straight face; I ended up biting my tongue to make sure nothing escaped my mouth.
'Okay, that just happened. That's not weird at all...right?' I thought to myself.  "Are you all right?" I asked him, shuffling a little closer to them.
"Huh? Oh yeah, I'm fine. Happens all the time." he replied, jumping up and continuing to lean on the Nightmare. And then he fell again. "I think I'll just stay here for a while."

The other boy chimed in, "Don't mind him, he's just a bit loopy in the head. He's taken one too many crash landings, know what I mean?" He had the brightest smile I've ever seen. I smiled back and nodded. The boy had sandy blonde hair and baby blue eyes. He was wearing a helmet that I could tell was a little too big for his head - it kept falling in front of his eyes and he had to constantly jam it into place. He also had wrist guards on both arms and metal shoulder pads. He wore a black shirt where the sleeves went up to his elbows as well as a light fur coat, black trousers and brown fur boots. "Your name is beautiful, by the way. I'm Tait. Nice to meet you." he said.
"Nice to meet you too. And thanks." I responded, blushing slightly.

There was a girl with ash brown hair and dark blue eyes, with specks of violet every here and there. Her hair was braided over her shoulder, her eyes glistening brightly. She wore a plain grey top and a light brown skirt that went up to her knees. She was also wearing a thin belt around her waist, a necklace with the Berk crest hanging from it, arm bracers that went from her wrist up to her elbows, an elasticated headband and blue boots.
"Hi Misty, I'm Embla. I have a feeling we're going to be great friends!" she exclaimed, smiling at me kindly. Maybe she was right. Maybe it wouldn't be so hard to make friends here.
"I sure hope so. I'm not particularly the best at making friends."
"Well, don't worry. We're all here for you. We'll try our best to make you feel comfortable in Berk. Right guys?" she said, turning to face her friends. They nodded in agreement.
I smiled and replied, "Thank you." Embla surprised me with a hug, but I almost immediately returned the embrace.

"Hey, don't forget about me!" the other girl pitched in cheerfully. "My name is Iona. Welcome to Berk! I heard about what happened at your old island. I'm so sorry. But hopefully you and your family will be much happier here."
"Thanks, I already like Berk much more than Donar."
She nodded empathetically. Iona had long, copper red hair that was left out, and nut brown eyes. She wore a simple dress that went down to her knees, black trousers and grey fur boots. She had three thin bracelets on one hand and one thick wrist band with her name on it on her other hand. She also had a band going across her forehead, like Astrid's, and dark shoulder pads.

The group of kids looked like the best of friends; I only hoped I had what it took to be one of them.
