"So, how do-" Emma was cut off by the intercom.

"Team, report to the mission room." Batman said.

"Sorry Emma, best not to keep Batsy waiting." Kid Flash said.

"Batsy?" Mike's eyebrow raised.

"Nickname given by Robin...or was it Joker? Anyways, it just stuck." KF said.

"It was Joker." Robin said as he passed by.

KF shrugged and then ran into the mission room.

Soon, everyone was gathered there.

"Team, you have a mission. This is Doctor Light. He's trying to create a gun that uses energy, but it uses too much energy. He's sucking up all the energy from the town." Batman brought up a picture and map.

"Why can't we go after someone more challenging and cooler. Someone like...Deathstroke!" Kid Flash said.

Robin hit him on the back of the head, "Are you SERIOUS?! He'll kill you!" 

"HEY! At least he's better than Doctor Light." Kid Flash frowned.

"Dude! He'll KILL you!" Robin said.

Kid Flash thought for a minute, "I still want Deathstroke."

"Really?!" Artemis yelled, frustrated.

"Yes! Think how cool it would be! We, fighting Deathstroke, a well-known ASSASSIN!" Kid Flash smirked.

"He's a mercenary." Robin said.

"Eh! It'd still be cool!" Kid Flash shrugged.

"Do you have a death wish?" Artemis asked.

"Nope! Just a wish for something cooler than Dr. Light." Kid Flash said.

"ANYWAYS! You're leaving. Now." Batman said.

"Emma and Mike, you can go, but you will follow EVERY order Aqualad gives you." Batman glared.

Batman looked at Robin.

Robin nodded.

Batman left.

"What was that?" Emma asked.

"Bat-talk. He says don't get yourselves killed." Robin said.

Kid Flash snorted, "It's just Doctor Light."

"Yes, it's Doctor Light, but who knows what he's up to." Robin said.

"He's making a gun that uses energy. Go in, knock him out, disable gun, and done!" Kid Flash said.

"You make it sound simple." Superboy said.

"Hey Robin! You can hack stuff! Can't you, like, hack the Justice League's computer and find where Deathstroke is?" Kid Flash smirked.

"We're not fighting Deathstroke." Robin said as they all got buckled into the Bio-ship.

"PLLLLLLLLEEEEAAASSSSEEEEE!!!" Kid Flash whined.

"No." Robin said with a frown.

"Why nooooooot?" KF whined some more.

"Because he's above your level." Robin said.

"Is not! We've fought Joker, the Brain, Poison Ivy, and a lot of other crazies! How bad is Deathstroke?" KF snorted.

"How about a 'I can defeat Batman in several minutes on a bad day' kind of level?" Robin suggested.

"No way! Deathstroke is not that good." KF said.

"He's probably one of the top three villains the League has fought." Robin said.

"No. He is NOT!" Kid Flash said with wide eyes.

Robin just glared at him.

"How do you know this?" Artemis asked.

"I've memorized all the villains that the Justice League had fought. It's part of my training with Batman." Robin said.

"So, you could tell us anything about any villain the League has fought?" Artemis asked.

"Yeah." Robin said.

"Wow!" Emma said.

"So for you, on a scale of 1 to 10, how high is Deathstroke?" Emma asked.

"Ten. He's easily one of the best villains." Robin said.

"No! My vote is on Lex Luthor. He's the best villain." Kid Flash said.

"Then you're stupid. While Lex is a good tactician, Slade can easily carry out his plans, make improv plans in a snap, and he's fast. Lex is good, but Slade is better." Robin said.

"Slade?" Artemis picked up.

"That's his first name." Robin blushed a bit.

"You know him by first name?" Wally asked.

"So? I know all of the villains by first name. I mean I know Joker even!" Robin said.

"Say what? Seriously?!" Wally gasped. 

"Yeah. I sometimes sneak into Arkham and talk to everyone. Don't tell Batman though!" Robin said.

"You sneak behind Batman's back?! Is there anything you can't do?" Emma asked. 

"I can't legally drink." Robin responded.

"No one here can except Emma, Mike, and Red Arrow." Artemis said.

"Well then." Robin shrugged.

"We're here!" Miss Martian said.

"Okay, Emma and Mike, you two need to stay here. If you don't, you might get hurt." Aqualad explained.

"We're reporters, we go where the action is. Besides, we signed onto this. You can't stop us." Emma said.

"Just...don't get killed." Robin said and then disappeared.

"Robin." Aqualad said into his comm link.

"Here." Robin whispered.

Aqualad sighed.

"Anyways, we'll be back soon." Aqualad said, "Be safe."

Mike snorted.  

Emma just gave the camera a look.

Soon, the Team was out of the Bio-ship.

"Let's follow them!" Emma smirked and started running towards loud sounds.

"We're going to get into trouble!" Mike said as he leaned against a tree to catch his breath.

"It's part of the job." Emma smirked.

"Look! There they are!" Mike pointed out.

Robin was currently flipping over Doctor Light and throwing some birdarangs at the same time.

Aqualad was making a wave of water to crash into Doctor Light.

Zantanna was chanting.

Rocket was flying around trying to get a good shot and look for weak points.

Red Arrow and Artemis were in trees aiming arrows.

Miss Martian...well, no one could see her.

Superboy was angry.

And Kid Flash...well, he was unconscious. 

"And who do we have here?" Doctor Light asked, looking at Emma and Mike.

"I thought we told you to stay in the Bio-ship." Artemis hissed from the tree above them.

"All the action is out here!" Emma said, pointing to the fight.

Robin suddenly tackled Doctor Light.

"Now!" Red Arrow yelled and shot an arrow out.

The arrow had a net in it.

Robin quickly flew out of the way, so the net only got Doctor Light in it.

"Good job Team." Aqualad said.

They cleaned up the mess and dragged Doctor Light to the Bio-Ship.

"You got the bad guy, little to no damage...you're improving." Batman said.

"As for you two," Batman looked at Emma and Mike, "Be careful."

Batman walked into the Zeta Beams.

"Well...that went well." Kid Flash said.

"Yeah." Most of the Team agreed.

"Is he always mad?" Emma asked.

"No. He's usually just...emotionless." Robin said.

"What's it like to live with Batman?" Emma asked.

"It's...uhm...a roller-coaster." Robin said. 

"Roller-coaster?" Emma asked.

"Yeah. There are moments when it really fun and happy. Then there's moments where you're scared because he went out on patrol by himself. And moments when you cry because you lost someone. Moments where you just appreciate everything." Robin explained. 

"How do you all juggle being a superhero and a student or civilian?" Emma asked. 

"I'm just a hero." Roy said.

"I'm still not sure how I'm keeping up." Artemis admitted.

"Fine." Zantanna and Rocket said together.

"It does get a bit tiresome, but we manage." Aqualad said.

"Fine." Superboy grumbled.

"Oh! It's so much fun!" Miss Martian exclaimed.

"Easy." Kid Flash and Robin both smirked.

"So, is being a hero easy?" Mike asked.

"No. You need training if you don't want to get killed." Artemis said sternly. 

"I agree, you need training and an experienced mentor." Aqualad said. 

"So, out of all of you, who has been doing this the longest?" Mike asked.

They all looked at Robin.

"I've been doing this since I was eight." Robin said.

"Wow! So, you've been doing this for a while." Emma said.

"Yeah, but I still have more to learn. There's always room for learning and improvement." Robin said.

Emma nodded.

"So..."
