You have been dating David for a little bit now and you couldn't be happier. You've known David for a while now, since Jake started with the Bruins. You had the biggest crush on him since the minute he first said hi. You were always shy around him, until he confessed his crush and asked you on a date. When he finally asked you to be his girlfriend you didn't hesitate to say yes.

You were just short of a month into the relationship. When you started to question something. How come your brother didn't say anything after you two became a couple? You were dating his teammate, why wouldn't he say something.

David had just finished telling you what had happened. When he asked Jake if he could ask you to be his girlfriend.

"Wait so, does Jake not know we're together?"

David just shrugs "Y/N you make me so happy that no one, not even your brother is going to stop me from having that happiness"

You smiled at him "I love that babe but we have to tell him. It's not right"

"You're right babe. You tell him" David said getting up

"You do realize he's your teammate right? You have to deal with him no matter who tells him" You say before he walks away

He sighs and then agrees to tell him together, at the game tonight.

You two walk into TD Garden hand in hand with David. You two thought it was better to tell Jake after the game. Just as you were about to let go of David's hand. You heard someone yell your name.

"Y/N?!"

You turn around still holding hands, to see Jake running over to you.

"Hi J, good lu-" But you were cut off before you could give him a hug

"Were you two just holding hands?"

There goes telling him later, you thought. "Jake, David and I are dating"

"Wait what? No you're not"

You looked at Jake confused. He never acted like this when you told him about your other boyfriends.

"Jake I think I know who I'm dating"

"Mmm yeah no. Pastrňák did you not listen to when I told you, you can't date my sister"

"No I don't and why's that? Oh because you didn't even say anything. You just laughed"

"Clearly you didn't get the hint then. So whatever this was is over now. Y/N go back to my place" Jake said pulling you towards him

"What? No" You raised your voice at your brother "Jake I'm staying for the game" Moving back to David's side

"Fine but I'm taking you home after"

"Pasta, watch yourself tonight" Was the last thing said before he walked away

You just rolled your eyes and turned to David.

"Don't worry about him, he's all talk. I'll talk to him tonight. Good luck babe, I'll see you tomorrow" You assured him as you gave him a quick pre game kiss

After the game you left with Jake to go back to his place. The whole car ride home was silent.  No one said anything until the door to the house was shut.

"Okay, What is your problem?" You spoke

Jake whips around "My problem? My problem is you dating my teammate behind my back"

"He asked you though"

"Yeah and I said-"

"You didn't say anything, you laughed. Which doesn't mean shit Jake. If you didn't want us dating that bad you should've made that clear"

"I never said anything because I thought it was just obvious. You never dated or liked any of  my other teammates. So I just thought you knew, no teammates"

It was silent for a little "David is different"

"What?" Jake sounded confused

"David is so completely different from other players. When I was younger and starting to date boys. You and dad told me no hockey players because of their 'reputation and life style'. Well David doesn't have that life style or reputation. He so much different then from what you and dad told me. He's caring, loving and most importantly he's loyal. I've known David for so long now. I feel like we've been together for forever now. I haven't told him this yet but I'm in love with him. I'm sorry if don't want to hear that Jake but it's the truth" You told Jake, almost tearing up

Jake opened his mouth to speak then closed it. Thinking about what to say, he opens his mouth again. He sighs in defeat.

"I'm not even going to argue with you because I know I'm not winning this one. If what you say is true about Pasta then you two can be together"

You run up to your brother hugging him not believing what he just said.

"Hey, hey, hey. Y/N but if something happens between you two. There's no going back, he's done, you two will be no more. I just don't want to see you hurt" He says hugging you back

"I know. I know. I can handle myself and I will always come to you when I have a problem" You nod your head agreeing with him.

After talking for a little more. You headed to Jake's guest room and called it a night.

The next morning Jake drove you over to David's house. You thanked him again before getting out and walking to the house.

As soon as you walked through the door. David came running over.

"So?" He questioned

"Jake said we can be together!" You happily told him

"Fuck yeah" He cheered before kissing you "Not going to lie. I still would have dated you regardless"

You laugh at him "Yeah me too"
