9th grade. . . .

Today was the school's annual field trip. The whole 9th grade class were traveling to an amusement park in Japan.

While Emilia was enjoying herself with some of the park rides, Ezra was busy talking with James. The trip was only for their grade, but because the Lumi family funded most of the school trip, an underclassmen like James was able to go along with them.

James: So, why did you need my help again?

Ezra: Two reasons: 1. I haven't learned Japanese yet and I need you to translate most of the signs here

Ezra: And 2. I have a crush on one of my classmates and I wanna tell him how I feel

James: Okay, first, I can just give you a translation list from Japanese to English, and second that will be easy enough

Ezra: Easy? How?

James: Show me who you like first

Ezra looked around then gestured to a boy from not far away. James nodded and looked back at him.

James: See that roller coaster over there?

Ezra: Yeah, what about it?

James: He's going to be riding that in just a few minutes, you should join him

Ezra: How did you know that he'll go there?

James: I can easily access minds with light magic. Now moving on...

James: When you get to the peak of the track, yell out your feelings for him

Ezra: Are you serious?

James: Yes. Shout out your affection! Say that you love him!

Ezra: I think that's too much though...

James: Well it's the only option you got. He's gonna be leaving earlier than the rest of us because of a conflict with his schedule, so you better tell him immediately

Ezra thought for a while. At school he couldn't get to talk to him much due to him being around his friends all the time, so he guessed that this is the only chance he'll possibly get.

He decided to go along with James' plan. He went to the line for the ride along with Emilia.

After a few minutes, they were already in. Ezra sat at the front with Emilia while his crush was placed directly behind him.

He figured this will be easier since they're not that far. When the ride started moving and was headed to the top, he took a deep breath.

When they were already heading down, he was finally about to say something, when Emilia grabbed his hand and held it tightly while screaming.

Emilia: EZRA, NEVER LET ME GO!!!

Ezra: EMILIA, YOU'RE GRIPPING  MY HAND TOO TIGHT!!!!

When it was all over, Venomania went to sit down and lay his head on a table.

Emilia: That was fun, I want to do it again! What do you say, Ezra?

Ezra: (Darn you.....I messed up because of you....)

James: Pfft

Emilia: What's so funny?

James: Ezra was actually confess to his crush while on the coaster, but you ruined it

The younger Lumi laughed at their faces, Emilia apologized for messing up.

Emilia: I'm so sorry, Ezra, but maybe it's for the better

James: Yeah, I don't really think he feels the same anyways

Emilia: James, that mean. But I guess it's also true since you're not entirely attractive....

James: He's more of a limp noodle

Emilia: And a coward--

Hearing all those words come from the siblings, the blue one stood up and started shaking Emilia aggressively.

Ezra: THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!!! I'M NOT THAT BAD, YOU'RE JUST MEAN!!!

Emilia: S-sorry!!

For the rest of the trip, Ezra kept on ignoring her. Emilia desperately tried to get back her best friend's attention, while James didn't help at all and went to tease his sister.
