Happy 2017 Everyone!

Though right now it's actually February 5, of 2017 and that I was late for the introduction a month ago for the New Years and......I feel really bad for not being able to update or make any announcement! I couldn't do anything- considering the old traditions, festivities, and finals that I had to take part- for the past 3-4 months or so.

I'm sorry for not being able to update faster than I was supposed to be last year, but, unfortunately, things change.

As much as I love writing my stories; I have to take matters into my own hands on sustaining both my inside and outside school work. I hope that all of you will understand and continue to support me no matter what.

Warning: When I reviewed back to my previous chapters I noticed that I left a lot of typos and maybe a lot of grammar mistakes. As much as I want to go back and redo them; I wouldn't have the time to type out the rest of my other stories that I am currently occupied with.

Thank you!

Signing out,

Moonlight Melody!

Yugi POV:

'As much as I hate to say this: Why does the universe hate me so?'

It was strange. One minute I was simply enjoying my strawberry drink that these humans had offered to me. (Yami said it's called a "smoothie") The next, I was going to make my way through the crowd to follow Yami and Joey outside, until this thunderous sound and earthquake took us all down from our knee. Every young adult, teens, and families screamed from the startling explosion as the employees tried to tell everyone to take over.

Since humans in this world follow differently from my world, I took their advice and hid underneath one of the tables as a cover over my head. Likewise, everyone follows suit, while wrapping their arms around their young ones, friends, or family member.

"What happen?", I curiously asked the person who is currently sitting next to me. A boy, who looks like 10 or 11 years old, was wrapping his arms around his knees while fearfully staring up at the ceiling. Clearly making a prediction that the ceiling above will collapse and kill us all from the weight.

The boy was too frighten to even hear what I had said earlier. Feeling some kind of sadness that is coming from the center of my chest, it was clear that I felt the urge to do something in order to comfort the young boy.

"There's nothing to be afraid," I reassured him. The boy snapped out of his fearful trance, before swiping his head towards the directing from where my voice come from. I smiled gently; glad that the tension is slowly making him relax on reflex but not quite.

"H-How are you sure?" The boy questioned softly, yet quietly as a whisper against the muttering chat among the crowded covers from the people itself.

"For one thing,  it's safe to say that there are no injuries during the quake."

"The second is that help will surely come for us no matter what."

"B-But!", the boy hesitated before continuing on, "What if they don't get all of out? What then?"

"Well now," I couldn't really help but have the urge to pat him on the head. His soft spiky hair is surprisingly soft against my hand, while his chocolate brown eyes look up at me in small quaking tears.

"I would have to make sure that we all get out safe and sound," I replied with alacrity in my voice.

Just then, there was a man's voice shouting,  "What do you think you are doing!?"

There was a scream after that, and then a gun shot that left others feeling petrified even more. Whatever it is, it sounds like trouble. There were some grunts, and a cry from a woman pleading to be released as an armed man caught her by the throat, while his other hand pointed a gun on the side of her head.

My heart skipped a beat as I witness the humans fighting each other and even have the audacity to harm those that are innocent. It sent a tingling feeling throughout my body as the soon-to-be-murderer ordered the man to move back or "else your precious girlfriend gets it!". The man couldn't do anything but concede to the man's wish; watching in dismay as the love of his life is being pulled away roughly from the man's pull. She was forced to sit next to him as the unknown man took the seat right next to hers; her eyes fearfully looking back at her lover in silent communication: Please. Help me.

I couldn't see what is going on from this angle. However, from what I could tell the man seem to be using one of those small communication devices (I could have explained how fascinated I am with human technology if the situation wasn't drastic at the moment.) to call someone.

"I have secured one hostage. With her here, I will be able to elaborate the many false truth that you and your god damn forces could never keep, despite your job that you swore to protect!"

Arguments and conviction to stop this man from acting rash lead to the man to fire aimlessly. The bullet was shot at one of the glass frames that hung all over the wall; underneath the fallen shards laid a table with three children underneath it. Two boys and one girl in the center. They scream and yelp from both the sound of the bullet shot and the shattered glass. As well as others who were the closest to the shot fire.

The man (Inspector) on the phone, one last time, pleaded the man to stop. The disabled mental man could clearly see that people from the outside are trying to carefully remove the remains that are blocking the entrance. As such, the cruel man grabbed the girl by the hair before yanking her to the floor.

"This was what my family had to go through! My wife and son were forced to die just so that they could protect others instead of themselves! Now Inspector! Tell me! Will you be able to save this girl from death itself!? Tell me!"

The girl scream when the man deliberately shot from where it hit her the closest, but no physical signs of injuries. Her lover, either he's brave or stupid, didn't consider the fact that he would gladly die for her as he holds her form as a way to shield her from the chaos around them. However, the girl will never be able to bring herself to live her life through to the fullest if fear of such occasion should ever come again. In other words, they would never be able to be the same if one of them is lost. The man knew this as well.

A parallel ending that leads from one precious death to another, before a rebirth of a new murderer begins. Murderers feasted from small petty reasons to purposes who's reasons could never be understood except those that share that same feeling as well.

That's why I couldn't let this go on any further.

"Stay here okay. When I give the signal, make sure you bring everyone out to safety."

"What?"

The boy in question was confuse but wasn't able to say anymore as a bright light emanete from my body.

My eyes were closed for just a second, but behind them lays the man that will soon be consumed in his own agony and sorrow.

"Well now. Shall we start this game? Mr. Murderer-san?"

Game Start!
