Once the Christmas decorations are taken down, they're replaced with streamers and a banner that says, "Happy New Year!" Chloe called up her birth mom to come over. "We're gonna have the best New Year's Eve ever!" Natasha came over. "I'm gonna take Chloe shopping for what she's gonna wear for New Year's." Chloe got her trench coat and light pink over the shoulder purse. "Let's go, squirt."
They went to every boutique clothing store and even thrift store for her New Year's Eve ensemble. They stopped at the mall in Sax 5th Avenue. Chloe got a bunch of clothes to try on and ran to the dressing room. "Let's what you picked out."
"Okey dokie then."

"Too much bling."

"I can't even..." Chloe looked at the mirror cringing slightly. "I can't even either."

"Too much gold." Chloe agreed. "Way too much."

"Not enough sparkle."

"Loki would pick that for you." She imagined if he did. "Yeah, he would add a bit of black into it."

"There's too much sparkle up top."

"We're getting there." She nearly tripped on her high heels.

"Almost, Steve or Bucky would pick this one."
Chloe looked at her reflection. "Bucky would let me wear this to the party."

"How about this?" The blond teen gave a little twirl. "I think you look perfect. Just switch the high heels for some flat or low heel shoes."

"We're back shopping." Chloe nodded eagerly. "I also got the perfect ensemble for the party."  The Avengers were happy to hear that. "Speaking of the party, where are we gonna have it?" Tomy was silent for a moment. "Believe it or not, I booked us a place. This year, we're having a rooftop party near Times Square and Chloe here is chosen to drop the ball for the New Year's Eve countdown." The teen couldn't believe her eyes. "W-what did you say, T-man?"
"You heard me well, princess. They chose you to drop the ball for the countdown." She was still shocked and overwhelmed and nearly fainted. Loki caught her on time. "You're gonna do great sweetheart." Steve said encouragingly. "I gotta call my birth mom." She said running off to her room. This is gonna be the best New Year's ever!
