Fleur was in the bedroom, sleeping. However she was woken up by some movements leaving the bed. Morgan walked over to her side, trying to remain quiet as he leaned over and kissed her forehead.

"Derek?"

"I have to go."

"What?" Fleur rubbed her eyes.

"I've been called out with Prentiss." Morgan sighed,"But it's just to check something, you don't need to get up yet."

"What time is it?"

"Early, hun."

"You'll be back soon?"

"Hopefully, it might be nothing." He nodded.

"Better be." Fleur mumbled.

"I'll see you soon, okay?"

"Love you." Fleur leaned back.

"I love you too." Morgan gave her another kiss.

Fleur hummed and waved as she closed her eyes again.

Elijah was sat on the end of the bed, he couldn't sleep but he knew it was too early to get ready.

"Morning." Reid gently kicked him.

"Go back to sleep, it's early." Elijah turned slightly.

"Why are you up?"

"Can't sleep."

"How come?" He sat up.

"I just- I don't know." Elijah rubbed his eyes.

Reid sighed and rubbed his shoulders.

Elijah leaned back against Reid,"Something.. It just doesn't feel right."

"Did you eat something bad?"

"No."

"Is it..a mental feeling?"

"Mhm."

"Maybe we have a case." He shrugged.

"But I don't usually get like this for cases." Elijah sighed.

"Don't get worked up about it, okay?"

"I'll try my best."

Reid kissed his cheek,"Want some tea?"

"I'd like that." Elijah smiled softly.

Reid hummed and began walking downstairs to make some tea,"Hello Toni."

Rigatoni meowed up at him, pawing at his legs.

"You want food? I'll get you some." He yawned,"Where's your brother?"

Rigatoni tilted his head as a thud came from the kitchen.

"Oh shit." Reid cursed.

"Babe, what is it?" Elijah asked.

"Nothing!" He ran downstairs to the kitchen.

"Those boys." Elijah chuckled.

Everyone was in the Conference Room, minus Emily and Morgan, they were still in DC.

"Kelly Landis went missing three days ago. Two days ago, the Georgetown Monitor received this. So whoever took this, took Kelly." Garcia told them as the pictures appeared on the screen.

And wanted the world to know it." Hotch nodded, "Is that you?" He looked at Garcia, noticing her face on a ticket.

"Where was she found?" Rossi asked as Garcia scrambled to hide the ticket.

"Uh- She was found in Georgetown, in an alley late last night." Garcia answered.

"I sent Morgan and Prentiss." Hotch added.

"Only one victim?" Fleur asked.

"It's what he did to her that concerns me." Hotch shook his head.

"Morgan sent these, also late last night." Garcia handed files over.

"He and Prentiss are waiting in the district." Hotch told them.

"The body seems posed. Left arm raised. Oh! That's a first, I see your concern.." Reid bit his cheek.

"What?" Garcia blinked.

"A photo wasn't all he took." Rossi looked over Reid's shoulder.

"Reid, what?" Garcia asked.

"Her lips have been removed." Reid sighed.

"Oh, my god."

"Maybe a trophy?" Fleur suggested.

"..Maybe he ate them." Reid spoke up.

"Okay, now I have that memory burned in my mind for the rest of my life." Garcia swallowed.

"You asked." Reid shrugged.

"I.. Would rather not be thinking about that now." Elijah sighed.

"The photo he sent the Monitor and the way her body is posed and the mutilation, it must be a representation of someone." Rossi suggested.

"At least by sending a photo to the media, he's opened a line of communication." Reid nodded.

"Now that he's got the media's attention, we can expect more of these." Hotch sighed.

*********************************

"Thirty-three years, two days to retire. Not once did I have my name in print. Now it's alongside a twenty-two year old girl left butchered in an alley." The officer sighed.

"Who found her?" Hotch asked.

"Homeless guy." He shrugged.

"We need to compile a list of Kelly's direct relatives, friends, coworkers, boyfriends, everyone." Hotch told them.

"When we got the photo, I expected a ransom, not a body." Craw sighed.

"This isn't about money, it's about that. Attention." Morgan pointed towards the news.

"By sending in the photo, the Unsub's handiwork becomes the center of attention." Elijah sighed.

"It wasn't sent. It was walked into the Monitor building. No one saw a thing." Craw shook his head.

"From here on out, nobody talks to the press. The last thing we need is the media naming her killer." Hotch pointed.

"It will have an emotional effect on the killer but positive or negative, neither will help." Morgan sighed.

"You know, you guys usually work serial murders. All we have is Kelly." Craw pointed.

"What you have is unique. In fact, it's a first for all of us." Fleur shrugged

"Kelly represents someone specific to the Unsub. Love and hate in equal measure." Elijah looked to the board.

"What the hell does cutting off her lips represent?" Craw blinked.

"It's a fetish, an obsession linked either to a profoundly deep love or possibly disgust of lips." Reid explained,"As pointed out, emotions that are in direct contrast with one another."

"It's his signature." Hotch sighed.

"And not one thats on any database." Morgan shook his head.

*********************************

"Penny Hanley, nineteen. She lives in Arlington, works in an art gallery. Yesterday she didn't make it home or into work." Hotch began.

"She caught the Metro to Union Station. Her father dropped her off." Craw shook his head.

"Her purse was found a few blocks away on a side street. It's most likely where she was abducted." Morgan added.

"Kelly was taken for three days. If he's holding to a pattern, Penny's already on day two." Hotch nodded.

"Today the Georgetown Monitor will receive a photo." Rossi told them.

"Whatever happens, we cannot allow another photograph like Kelly's to be published. We need to get ahead of the media. They've already named him the Hill Ripper." Elijah contiued.

"I want undercover units to lock that building down. If you see him, let him walk in. Do not apprehend him before." Craw ordered.

"We're looking for a white male in his mid to late 40s, approximately 6ft tall, slim build." Hotch told them.

"We think he's a local and a loner, most likely unemployed." Morgan sighed.

"He's moving his victims around the city unseen, so we know he has a vehicle. It's probably an older model, but well-maintained." Emily nodded.

"What does he think this is?" A cop asked, gesturing to the pages found.

"A page from what we believe is a script was found inserted in Kelly's throat. Somehow, in the Unsub's mind, Kelly seems to have failed expectations." Reid explained.

"Although there were no sexual interactions ante or postmortem, the removal of the lips is in itself a sexual act." Rossi added.

"A behavior which tells us we're dealing with a borderline
personality." Reid nodded.

"Based on the obvious theatricality of the case, we think he worked in or around the arts." Emily pointed.

"Three days could represent a three act play, of which Kelly was the star." Elijah crossed his arms.

"Kelly was killed three days after she was abducted. That means Penny may only have a day left." Hotch sighed.

*********************************

"We closed off this entire area. Cops are all over it." Morgan pointed to the board.

"They're going door to door where it's a five block radius with over two thousand homes." Reid hummed.

"Unless they get lucky, that could take days." Emily sighed.

"Undercover units have staked out the Georgetown Monitor building." Rossi told them.

"Garcia, anything on the footage?" Hotch turned to her screen.

"Lab is analysing it frame by frame, but it looks pretty clear he doesn't know those cameras are on him." Garcia pointed.

"Permits?"

"Cross checking with the profile. We've got..Male, late forties, truck, van or SUV. That brings it down to six hundred potentials." She typed.

"Garcia, what zone covers Rykers Alley, M Street and Charlotte Street?" Morgan asked her.

"Two zones."

"No, that doesn't help." He shook his head.

"Well come on, I'm the high priestess of all things digital but I'm not a god." Garcia sighed.

"What permit covers all zones?" Elijah tilted his head.

"Only one. Disabled."

"This guy's not disabled." Rossi crossed his arms.

"Maybe he knows someone who is?" Fleur suggested.

"A kid on a BMX dropped this off at the Monitor a half hour ago, said a bum gave him twenty bucks." Craw walked in, sitting a picture of Penny on the table.

"Well, at least it didn't make the news." Rossi muttered.

"This buys us some time, right?" Craw looked around at them.

"Until he finds another way to contact the media." Reid sighed.

"We'll do it for him." Hotch crossed his arms,"Garcia, I need you here as soon as possible."

"Sure. What for?" Garcia blinked.

"We need him to break cover, get out in the open. Call a press conference with every major media outlet present." Hotch told her.

"Oh- I am not the one you want in front of camera."

"Yes, you are." He pointed,"Detective, we need every available unit."

"Hey, you're gonna be fine." Morgan assured Garcia.

"No, I will not be fine. I will suck. I will suck. And what happens then-" Garcia shook her head

"Penelope. Stop it. We just got to buy some time to get ahead of this guy."

"He's going to be watching, you mean?" She blinked.

"I'm going to be right by your side. Now get your butt out here." He hummed, walking off.

*********************************

They'd found the man behind the murders, Rhett Walden, and were lined up outside his house with the police, guns aimed at the door.

"This is the police. We know you're in there. Come out with your hands up." Craw called to Rhett.

"He's coming out." Rossi nodded towards the shadow.

The front door creaked open and Rhett staggered down the steps, carrying a woman in his arms. But.. As he drew closer, they noticed that the woman.. Was a decomposing corpse.

"Oh my god." Fleur blinked, slowly lowering her gun.

"Look Ma.." Rhett whispered as he stumbled closer.

"Guys, her lips." Elijah shook his head as Rhett fell to his knees.

"They're Kelly's." Reid sighed.

As the police began to detain Rhett and the medic tried to look him over, all he could do was smile and laugh

*********************************

Once everyone was back in Virginia, Hotch had informed everyone on Garcia's show, inviting them. Of course they wouldn't say no. So, of course, they were front row in the audience.

"That was amazing." Elijah clapped.

"She's done great." Fleur smiled,"Oh- Here she comes."

Garcia walked onto the stage, a smile on her face as she bowed. When she noticed everyone in the front row, her smile only grew.

"That's my girl!" Morgan clapped.

"We love you!" Elijah cheered.

"Sign my shirt!" Fleur laughed.

"Just your shirt?" Emily looked over at her.

"Dad's are here." Fleur nodded towards Rossi and Hotch

"You have a point."

"I'm so proud of her." Elijah smiled.

After the bows and applause, everyone met Garcia at the stage door.

"Oh my god! Wh- You're all here." Garcia smiled.

"Of course we are." Morgan hummed,"Why wouldn't we be here?"

"Because- Oh, you guys." Garcia hugged them all.

"We're all so proud of you." Elijah told her as he hugged back.

"I did good, yeah?" She smiled.

"Good? Garcia, you were incredible." Emily pointed.

"Thank you." Garcia hummed.

"We should be thanking you for that performance back there." Rossi chuckled.

"I'm glad you all liked it. But no mentioning it at work. No one else needs to know." Garcia pointed.

"Your secret is safe with us." Hotch assured her.

"Thank you, sir. Garcia nodded.
