Yea, I know, I suck........I haven't updated in such a long time. I had to take a break from writing to focus on school (sadly) and dealt with some "issues". I'm bouncing back through so I Imma just start with the one-shot suggested by the one and only @xXAmazing_QueenXx. Btw, they are not yet a couple in this. Enjoy!

Annabeth's POV

Throughout my lifetime I had met a lot of really stupid people, but Percy Jackson, by far, takes the cake on this one. For hours I've been sitting at his kitchen table with nothing but his chemistry textbook, a mechanical pencil and the packet he was attempting to finish. He managed to get the first two pages completed and memorize the elements of the periodic table and their abbreviations, but that's as far as he got before letting his head lay against the table.

Eventually, at 11:30 p.m. I decided it would be a good idea to let him have a little mental break. He happily obliged, running to his room and shutting the door with a small slam. Only seconds later did he come out with a deep blue acoustic guitar strapped around his neck.

"You've been trying to teach me chemistry for the past four hours-"

"Five," I corrected.

"Same difference," he shook his head. "But now we're gonna switch roles. I will be the teacher and you will be the pupil! Get ready to learn the wonders of the guitar."

He placed the guitar in my lap, walking around the back of the seat I was currently sitting in. Without warning, he grabbed by arms, guiding them to the correct places so I was holding the instrument properly. It suddenly hit me how gentle Percy had become since he had taken his mind off of his homework.

Once it was obvious I somewhat got the concept of holding the guitar, Percy moved so he sitting across from me once more. His hand stretched out and strummed the strings, letting out a soft note.

"Now put your fingers on two of the strings," he instructed. "Make sure they're only holding down those strings." I did so and strummed the strings myself this time. A new note came from the instrument. I smiled in triumph.

"See!" Percy exclaimed. "It's supper easy once ya get the hang of it."

"I want to hear you play," I said. "If all the time you don't spend studying practicing the guitar then you must be really good at it."

"Ouch," he deadpanned in a tone like Flynn Rider's from Tangled. Nonetheless, he took the guitar from my hands and shifted it to his lap instead. He looked so comfortable with the instrument in his hands it was almost like it was an extension of himself.

To say he was amazing would be an understatement. He sounded like a miracle waiting to happen as he sang the chorus to The Fighter by Gym Class Heroes. (Up top) His fingers moved swiftly across the chords, his eyes closed as he got lost in the moment. Even I started to tap my foot to the familiar beat.

The miracle ended way too soon for my liking. A moment of blissful silence passed before Percy opened his eyes and for the first time ever, I realized just how green his eyes were. It was like I was starring out across a vast ocean on a clear, sunny day.

"What'd ya think?" Percy exclaimed. "Worth all the hours not studying?"

Not even thinking about my response, I grabbed the front of his shirt and crashed my lips into his. I could tell he was shocked because he didn't respond for a few seconds. But then those few seconds were over and he started to kiss me back. His lips were rough, yet gentle, just like his voice had been.

Our kiss lasted only for a brief moment before I pulled away. A silly lopsided grin was laced across Percy's face.

"I loved it Seaweed Brain."

"Just like I love you." He pressed his forehead against mine, taking my small hands in his larger, calloused ones.

"I love you too. Now, about that chemistry homework..." And his grin was gone.

Anyways, hope you all (y'all) liked it! I'll try to update faster this time. I've got some cool ideas for this and my Solangelo book as well!
