Timeskip two days later
Annie (POV)
It's been two days since Eren and Daisuke sealed up the wall resulting in the first real victory for humanity. However, with the victory came so much death. Everyone who could work were given masks and gloves and were told to help clean and pick up the dead. Yet during this moment right now, I can't help but feel sadness and guilt as I stand over those two have fallen. I can't even be happy that my dearest Daisuke is safe.
Annie- I'm sorry. I'm sorry I.......
Reiner- Contrition does them no good. What they need is a proper burial.
Bodies were eventually burned in mass.

Daisuke (POV)
I awaken and it's dark. Everything feels stiff as I get the blood flowing. Everything feels fine for the first few seconds until I see that I'm behind a set of bars. I'm in a cell and three people are outside looking in at me.

Daisuke *mind*- The guy on sitting is Commander Erwin, head of the Scout Regiment Task Force. To his right is Captain Levi, the most badass scout out there. And the guy on the far right is.....Brennan?
Erwin- Ah you're awake.
Daisuke- Where am I? Why am I in a dungeon cell? Why is Brennan here?
Brennan- That's Captain Brennan to you.
Daisuke *mind*- His attitude is completely different from when we first met.
Erwin- You're currently in the custody of the Military Police. We were granted permission to only just now. We already saw your friend Eren just an hour before.
He pulls out Eren's key.
Daisuke- Hey now wait just a minute. That's Eren's key.
Erwin- He'll get it back. Don't worry. But let's talk home. Home in Shiganshina. You're best friends with Eren. You know about Mr. Jaeger and his cellar.
Daisuke- Yeah but only a little. He's keeping something in there. A secret regarding the Titans I think.
Levi- Must suck having your memory MIA. Unless, of course, that's just a cover story.
Erwin- Enough. We know he has no reason to lie.
Brennan- Doubt it but alright. Whatever you say.
Erwin- Daisuke, how about you shed some light on a few things for me. What are your intentions?
Daisuke- My intentions?
Erwin- Here's the lay of the land, my friend. If we want to pay a visit to that cellar, we have to venture back into Shiganshina. Sealing the breach there as we did in Trost would be the smartest way to go about it, don't you think? Naturally, we'll need yours and Eren's special powers. Any way you slice it, a Titan's deciding our fate. It's been conjectured that the Colossal, Armored, and Berserker Titan are more or less the same as you and Eren. It's why I ask your intentions. They could be key to turning the tide forever. You and Eren could save us.
Daisuke-......To be honest, I don't know who or what I am.
Levi- Come on. It's an easy question.
Brennan- What the hell is it you wanna do?
After a couple seconds of thought, I can't help but a let a small smile cross my face.

Daisuke- I want to join the Scouts and obliterate every god damn Titan that gets in my way.
Levi-.....Is that so?
Brennan- Well played. Alright Erwin. I'll take responsibility for him. Levi you got Jaeger.
Levi- Whatever.
Brennan- Let the higher ups know what's going on. Not that I fully trust him, of course. It's more a matter of me trusting myself to deal with him. Kill him, if I have to. The big wigs aren't likely to raise a stink. My record more than speaks for itself, I'm pretty sure. Good news Tatsuo. You're now officially a member of the Scouts.
Timeskip 
Mikasa (POV)
Over the past few days, rumors of Daisuke and Eren's abilities have reached public ears. Now a debate has been called. Right now I'm going over it with Armin and Hikaru at a table
Mikasa- A debate over Daisuke and Eren? What for?
Armin- I don't know much but I think it might be about what they plan to do with them.
Hikaru- And what does that mean?
Armin-....It means.....they may not allow them to live.
My blood runs cold and images of Daisuke flash in my head followed by Eren. I stand up petrified.

Hikaru has the same look on her face as she just stares off with widened eyes.

Three troops come in.
Soldier A- Cadet Mikasa Ackerman, Cadet Armin Arlelt, and Cadet Hikaru Tatsuo. Hop to!
Mikasa- Sir.
Soldier A- You're ordered to attend and act as witnesses at today's deliberation.
Daisuke (POV)
Daisuke *mind*- I honestly don't know how long I've been in here but seems like it's been forever since I've seen the outside. Trapped inside this cell with chains on. This guards treating me like shit doesn't really help either. Calling me monster and saying I deserve to die. Then again they're not far off with the monster part but I still don't deserve be in this situation and insulted. I saved their lives god damn it.
A bang against the bars brings me out of my head and I jump at the sight.

The  lady smiles at me.
Lady- So you're Daisuke? Are you well? How're things? I'm really sorry you've been waiting so long. But here's your chance to finally get out.
I sigh out of relief.
Lady- One thing though, you'll have to but these on for me okay?
She sticks a pair of handcuffs through the opening and I put them on. Finally free of the cell, I get escorted out and down a hall.
Lady- My name is Zoe Hange. I'm a section commander for the Scouts. The guy behind you with his face up against you is also a fellow commander in the Scouts, Miche Zacharius.
Daisuke- Dude, enough with the sniffing and back up! Ever heard of personal space! Six feet man! You don't know if you have Covid or not!
Indigo: (facepalms) Nobody's done that in months and yet the moment it comes back, it's a Covid joke. God damn it.
Hange- Don't worry about him. He makes a habit of giving new people a thorough sniff. Tends to laugh through his nose a bit. But I don't think he intends for it to be derisive. Quirks aside, he is a skilled section commander.........Oh poo! Sorry, I've been prattling on with the small talk, and now we're here. Well I'm sure it's fine. It's probably better if I don't explain it, anyway.
Two guards aggressively grab my arms as the doors open.
Daisuke- Hey what are you doing?!
Hange- It might seem callous, but remember.....we've all put our faith in you Daisuke. Best of luck.
