Una walked over to Xander's house so they could walk to school together like usual. She was a bit nervous about it though, since the scene that happened between them yesterday after school in the vacant hallways. But, that wasn't going to stop Una from talking to Xander like they normally would.

She walked to Xander's front door and rang the doorbell. After a few minutes of waiting, the door started to open.

Una smiled. "Xander, hey, let's going to school shall we?" She asked cheerfully.

"Uh, Una?" Una's eyes widened knowing that wasn't Xander's voice. It's was deeper than Xander's. Una looked up to see who was the one to open the door. It was Takashi.

"Oh! Takashi! Is Xander here?" Una asked him.

"Uh, no. He left this morning, maybe he had an early practice today. I didn't question it though, he seemed off but you know how he is, stubborn as a bull." Takashi said.

"Oh, okay, thanks for telling me, Takashi." Una said with a weak smile.

"Yeah for sure," Takashi said. "See you!" He said waving a bit.

"Bye, Takashi." Una said back.

The door closed as Una walked down the porch steps and started down the sidewalk. She frowned. That was so unexpected and very out of the ordinary for Xander. He never went to school without her, that's when her mind went to what happened yesterday at the school.

The kiss, the necklace, and Xander's confession. Una blushed at the memory and placed both of her palms on her warm cheeks.

'It's totally going to be super awkward when I see him at school isn't! Maybe that's why he didn't want to go back to how we've always been. But, that's just going to make it even more awkward. Ugh, why is this so complicated!" Una rambled in her head.

Maybe Una was overthinking this. Maybe Xander just wanted space after what happened between the two of them. But then again it would be awkward for the two of them if they just went back to the same old same old without talking about it.

But, Una might just be overthinking it... right?

As soon as Una walked into school, Jasiri noticed her acting all zoned out to point where Una didn't hear her calling her name. Jasiri frowned and went over to Uan tapping her on the shoulder.

"Una?" Jasiri asked in a concerned tone to her friend.

Una jumped and blinked a couple of times before turning her head and see Jasiri standing right next to her.

"Oh, Jasiri! Sorry, I didn't notice you there." Una said softly.

"Yeah, I noticed, space cadet. What's going on? Is something the matter?" Jasiri asked raising an eyebrow at her friend.

"No! Of course not! Nothing is wrong. I just have a lot on my mind right now." Una replied.

"Mh-hm, yeah. I don't by that. Come on, Una. You can tell me anything! I'm your best friend, aren't I?" Jasiri exclaimed.

"Oh yes, of course, you are! I just don't feel comfortable telling you." Una said play with the strings of hoodie.

"That's fine. I get it. But, seriously though if it's still bothering you and you feel comfortable telling me just tell me. 'Kay!" Jasiri said with a smile, but she was still a little worried about Una but respected her boundaries.

Una gave Jasiri and soft smile back. "Thank you, Jasiri." She said.

"It's what friends are supposed to be. So, you don't need to thank me." Jasiri said.

"Yeah..." Una said.

"Anyway, where's Xandy? I thought you guys walked to school with each other." Jasiri said.

"Oh! Xander had an early football practice this morning." Una said.

"Oh, yeah! That did happen this morning well if that's the case don't you have Student Council today?" Jasiri asked.

"No, I have the council after school," Una answered. "We have meeting sometimes during school though." Una added.

"Right." Jasiri said with a nod.

That's when loud yelling and people swarmed the hallways as Una and Jasiri walked in the hall. Una and Jasiri looked at each other a bit of fear and panic in their eyes.

Jasiri stopped a student, who was running passed them.

"What the hell is going on?" She asked the student.

"Two guys are fighting in the school corridor!" They said.

"What?!" Both Una and Jasiri said in unison.

Una and Jasiri followed the student to the crowd of students that cheering on the fight and film it on their phone. Some students were even taking bets.

Jasiri was trying to look over the crowd to see who was fighting each other. Una sighed and slipped away from Jasiri's side and started zigzagging through the crowd.

"Hey wait, Una!" Jasiri shouted to her but, Una ignored her and kept pushing through the crowd.

Una kept pushing her way to get through the crowd to see who was fighting and maybe try her hand at break them up. But, she will soon see who exactly it fighting. She finally got herself to front of the crowd and her eyes widened. There Una saw Kion and Xander throwing punches at each other.

Watching, Una could tell that Kion had the upper hand in this fight and it terrified her. Especially the look in Kion's amber eyes, pure rage. But why?

Already forming bruises sat on each off the boy's faces and little bit of blood dripped from Kion's nose. He must have gotten punched in the face by Xander. Xander did have the height advantage in this fight, Kion was bit shorter than Xander and Xander could take a hit from the shorter boy.

Una didn't do or say anything, I mean how could she, she was in shock and in her thoughts when someone grabbed her hand. She flinched and saw Vitani behind her.

"Come on." She said, pulling her out of the crowd of students.

"V-Vitani. Hi." She mumbled to older girl.

"Una, you okay? You seem shaken." Vitani said softly, putting her hands into the pockets of her jeans.

"What's going on? Why are they fighting?" Una asked.

"Don't know. I just got here myself." Vitani said.

Una sighed and looked down at the floor until hearing footsteps and voices.

"Tani? Oh, you're here too, Una." That was Kovu's voice.

"Una, there you are!" Jasiri was right next to Kovu as both teens walked up to Vitani and Una.

Una smiled, very happy to see them. "Hi, Kovu. Do you know what's going on?" Una asked him. She was desperate for answers, she wanted to know what's going on.

"I might have picked up what happened this morning but to be honest, I didn't think it was enough for Kion and Xander to start fighting. I'm just as confused as the rest of you." Kovu said.

"Well, we have to stop them. They can't fight at school." Una said.

"Yeah, it's getting pretty out of hand." Vitani said.

"We've notified the Principal already." Jasiri said.

Kovu sighed. "Yeah, when he gets here he's going break up this fight like it now big deal." He said.

'What does that mean?' Una thought raising an eyebrow a bit.

A few minutes passed until a voice was heard through the halls.

"Hey both of you and all of you, get to class, there's no more for you to see here." Once that was said the crowd dispersed just as fast as it appeared.

Una watched Kion's eyes widened as a back off from Xander as he wiped the blood from his nose with the sleeve of his jacket.

"Principal Rafiki." Kion said.

Kion's demeanor changed as soon as Rafiki entered the scene. They definitely know each other.

"Xander, bro! You alright?" Kovu asked running over to Xander who was sitting on the floor, holding his cheek.

"Yeah, I'm fine..." Xander mumbled out.

Rafiki sighed as he walked closer to Kion, he was ready to saying something to Kion until he shifted his attention to Xander and Kovu.

"Now, Kovu take him to nurse's office will you, I'll talk to your friend after I'm done here." Rafiki said with a smile.

"Yeah, sure." Kovu replied helping Xander off the ground with slinging one of Xander's arm over his shoulder and placing one of his hands around his waist.

"I'll help you, Kovu." Una said running over to the other side of Xander's body.

"Thanks, Una." Kovu replied with a smile.

"Yeah no problem." Una said back.

Vitani and Jasiri went with them as they started down the hall as soon as they disappeared, Rafiki spoke.

"Now, Kion, you must learn to control your emotions. I know this is a delicate time for anyone your age but that is no reason to take it out on someone else. Especially a friend of a friend." Rafiki said.

"I know that, Rafiki." Kion mumbled.

"You know, I have to inform your father about this situation." Rafiki said.

"I know." Kion said looking down at the floor and looking off to the side.

"So follow me to my office, Kion." Rafiki said turning and walking down the hall as Kion followed without a word.

Kion saw her. He saw Una standing there when the fight was over between him and Xander. He definitely doesn't have a chance with her now after the stunt he pulled. Beating up her best friend and looking like an ass. Why is he doing this to himself?
